52Toys Year of the (Double) Dragon! IB-03 Golden Dragon and BB-01LY Dio Double Feature

- 2024 is the Year of the Dragon in the Chinese Zodiac, and 52Toys celebrates this year in style with two AWESOME special edition figure releases!
Golden Dragon is a figure that was originally released in the Megabox line, and comes with a beautiful custom box, Box Charger, collectible coin and is completely painted from head to tail in a breathtaking gold and silver color scheme with ornate accents.
BB-01LY Dragon Dio is the third in the Dio Zodiac series, and is very likely the best one yet! It comes with an emerald green Box Charger, gold 4cm filler insert and awesome custom dragon head and tail ornaments. This Dio has been completely reengineered, and of all the Dio variants it’s unquestionably the highest quality production piece 52Toys has ever made.

OP = Over Powered. Nice review as always. Still have not grabbed the dragon mold but this may push me over. I love the Dio (and Ghost Dog) mold. Just so expressive for such a simple design and the "hats" kick it up a notch. I do recommend the 52Toys book which comes with the tiger dio.
Thanks! “Overpowered” hadn’t crossed my mind, but it certainly seems to be the case with that little dude. I’m generally a little skeptical about heavily painted action figures, but I have to tell you - this dragon’s paint job looks _amazing._ I don’t think 52Toys has done anything like it, before. I do actually have the book, but didn’t get a Tiger Dio with it. I recommend this Dragon Dio, if you don’t have it - no joke, its engineering really is next level. Also, word has it that Dio (re)releases after this one will be using the new mold, so that’s definitely something to look out for! ✌️
Double Dragon... like the beat em up! Last year we did get the rabbits + Dio rabbit ears too.
Two in a year is twice as nice. ✌️😎🐲🐲 I guess it was the bunny last year; for some reason I was thinking they came first, then the tiger.

i hope to add them to my collectioon soon(especilly the helldiver, because on ebay, people are selling them for like $300)
Thanks, I appreciate it! Yeah, I saw the LB Elite & Helldiver rereleases. I’m _very_ tempted to get both; already have a Landbreaker but it’s such a great set and the Devastator color scheme is hard to pass up. There is also some question on whether the Helldiver rerelease is made off the reengineered Dio mold (like the Dragon Dio in this video). I already have a Helldiver but if it is, I’m definitely going to get it.
And hey, it’s awesome that they’re making it available again for anyone who missed out, so you can get one at a reasonable price straight from the manufacturer instead of paying a premium to scalpers! Hope you’re having a great weekend. ✌️😎

i ended up ordering, hell diver(with box charger and armor), Pyromancer & Cryomancer, and the new wandering earth infintiy box(the computer thing)
That should be a pretty good haul! 😎 I’m not going to get the Pyromancer pair until it either comes down in price or I can get it with the 8th anniversary coin. I’m interested in Landbreaker Elite though; might wind up being the first time I end up buying an AMTS repaint.
@@XMattingly ya i was disapointed that it said the coin version was sold out, but it wasnt a deal breaker for me, because i didnt wanna run the risk of missing out on the figures all togeather
but they just released the new race car infintiy box, so im 100% gonna order that later today
@@unknownunknown-cd7rx Understood! I always thought the Acid Ghost/Lithiumon set was overpriced and Pyro/Cryo is another $5 on top of that, so I can't accept it at that asking price; at least not without some extra incentive.

Where to buy
The Golden Dragon is available almost everywhere: Aliexpress, Big Bad Toystore, JoyToyWorld, etc. Dragon Dio, I'm not so sure about... I think that one was a very limited release, and I haven't seen it recently.
