I think if you add Farrah Faccet sorry I spelled it incorrectly, inspired look to the title you would get the views you need. I specifically typed in hair flick. From the tik ton video where they flick their heads back and forth after curl but with no holding spray and I found you but this video deserves way more views and likes

This is how we did it. Now do that every morning at 6am before school. Yes, every girl did this. It gets harder in the 80's because the feathered looks was in so you did this allover your head and then use the flick of the wrist when brushing until the whole side of your head looks like the feathered wing of a bird haha Then lacquer it so it doesn't move with Aqua Net hairspray.

When I release the curl it just drops into a long twisty thing and is hard to gather neatly into a rolll like you can
Hmm you might need to hold the curl on the curling iron for longer. Also make sure you’re using a hot enough curling iron

I tried this but it wouldn't hold all day. I did some research and learned that rolling hair from the bottom with a curling iron is the incorrect method because it leaves the middle of the hair strand cold.
Depends on your length of hair and your curling iron!
