My issue with the new events is, the creation of all these new locations to hold them in, Galloper's Keep, Christmas village. I'd rather have the actual map to get festive overhaul for the time being. I enjoy the Equestrian event held in Jorvik Stables so much more for that. The prices for unlocking the portals and the frequency we can earn them on has really been a big turnoff too, if we could rather do some lttle spooky races around Jorvik or find Soul Shards all over the map for some simple new set I'd be much happier.
Agree with you on everything 100% It used to be so nice in the past when the entirety of Jorvik was decorated for the events (not to mention the snow for Christmas)
Pumpkin hunting was better. They gave you soul shards you could exchange for something. Am I just too nostalgic or did they actually change the Halloween event to worse?
Yeah I don't know what's up with the pumkin hunt :/ We don't get soul shards from it and only get autumn tokens once a day doing the daily quest. Idk if there's more to it
Exactly :/ Even when I was editing this video I had to keep track of time so I could log on every hour to go collect soul shards 😅 It's mostly just stressful and time consuming
@@FamilyTurtlenight SSO haven't considered that most of the players go to school or to work? We really can't log in every hour. 😂 I have unlocked only 2 portals so far. I had 10 soul shards left from the previous Halloween. That helped a little.
There is a glitch where you can get a lot of soul shards in one tornado. After you have done a tornado run away from that location and go back ( you have to remember where the ghost was standing correctly ) when you get back to where the ghost was standing move your cursor around and you will see the quest icon, then you can click it and do the tornado quest again, you can to over and over again and you will have loads of soul shards in no time! :)
Sso in general is not how it was. I dont kno if its just me but i no longer have that thrill and thrive to play the game. Theyve made changes to the events, to the characters and even to the storyline that its just disappointing. 2013-2017 sso was THE era of the game and it was ruined by the new management they are under. I agree with all of the opinions you said i couldnt have explained it better myself. this update was a huge let down and its a tossup between it being overwhelming and underwhelming
Yeah unfortunately what you're saying is true :/ There's a lot more with current SSO than just the events that makes it less exciting than what it used to be, but going into all that would result in a pretty long essay 😅

Am I the only one who is absolutely obsessed with the halloween event? I love everything about it! (Expept for the soulshard fixing portals thing) But I also think that they kinda ruined the chritmas village by updating it. But halloween is my favorite!
I don’t mind unlocking the races I kind of saw it as a fun little challenge and SSO is smart in doing this it forces players to log on more HOWEVER I hate that you have to get 20 soul shards to complete the tornado and it only rewards you with 3 soul shards which isn’t a lot The only thing I did enjoy was the Linda side quest about galloper Thompson was a little disappointed that burnt down building on paddock island was his stable i at first thought it had something to do with garnok but it was interesting to learn more about him
To put things in perspective; this is my first Halloween event in SSO as I only started playing the game this year. Here are my disappointments; -The amount of shards needed to open all portals. Relogging to get them all is definitely not enjoyable as you mentioned. -The Cauldron being mostly random in what it gives. -The absence of the crimson count's saddlebag from one of the Halloween shops. This was the only set I wanted, and I hate that it's missing that piece so much. -The Cauldron seems to not be giving the Accused set's feathers and horse leg boots. I got every other piece but those two. And as far as I know, no one else this is getting it either. -Waiting an extra week for the only Halloween horse I want. -The Pumpkin Hunt constantly bugging out. And I think that is about it.

And I'm sorry this has to be your first experience with Halloween on SSO :( Having that many dissapointments as someone who hasn't played during Halloween before is concerning on SSO's part, since the repetitiveness, that a lot of us who have played for longer complain about, isn't even a problem 😅

The haunted trail ride is my favorite and I am loving the holiday vibes from just hanging around the Keep. And I really love that skeleton potion for the starter horse!
I was also wondering if the Pumpkin chase didn't give any reward or if it was just my game that glitched each time. Also, while doing the haunted trail ride, you can come accross Ydris' partner (funky clothes, I forgot his name). He ask us to bring him back to Ydris, but I never seem to find the latter. Has anyone been able to find him?
Sooner or later they'll have to do something if they can't keep their playerbase happy. Then the question is if they manage to do changes to get the game back on the right track again or if it'll just get worse 😅
i have the problem right now that sso gave me a update and it is monday ! and i dont like halloween anymore because i need to unlock everyting and i dont have the time to do that al. also i can not do the pumking hunt it glichts i guess.
Idk man, I logged on just on the update day, got so bored of it when I saw how repetitive it was and I don't want to waste my time for something like that. Even though I like collecting clothes and events' items a lot, so maybe that's the only thing that can motivate me a bit.

It only took me 2 tornadoes, with the log out login method to unlock every portal

The pumpkin hunt will not work for me. I reloged like five times and now every time I go to Jasper’s farm it goes to the cut seen.

The only way we can get SSO to fix themselves is if the new horse games coming out take a bunch of the playerbase away.
