Homosexuality is NOT A CHOICE! To compare homosexuality with Sodom and Gomorrah is just as ridiculous: The citizens of these towns did not want to follow and believe in GOD. WHY is homosexuality considered a sin? Homosexuality is NOT A CHOICE! I LOVE GOD, AND BELIEVE IN HIM, NO HUMAN BEING WILL TELL ME, I WILL NOT GO THE HEAVEN!
Regarding Sodom and Gomorrah. There are several cities or small communities that are mainly homosexual communities. But, God isn't destroying cities any more. Is it no longer a sin?
Actually, God is not doing any of those things in the Bible. He's not speaking to people, not parting seas, not destroying cities, not creating confusion in language. Maybe God cursed the world with the corona virus. Other than that, there is no reason to believe God exists, at least not a God that does things.
No one is born a homosexual. But if you find you have that propensity, then you DO have a choice whether you engage in homosexual acts or not. Every human being has temptations. The question is, do you resist the temptation or do you give in. If you ask God to take away homosexual desires, He will. Have you asked Him?

I agree, religion is a dangerous scam.
We all sin every day so if you accept Jesus salvation is a free gift. If you don’t turn from certain sins you will reap the consequences of it. But that does not mean you lose your salvation. We all need to spend a lot of time with God and his word to overcome the sins of the flesh.
Jesus died not for our sins but so that we could turn away from our sins and receive a second chance. To repent and receive forgiveness you have to turn away from sin. Jesus said go and sin no more. You can’t hold onto your sins and hold onto Jesus at the same time.

I think you need to check your theology as well. God created me in God's image!! God loves me for who I am. If I could choose my sexuality I would choose heterosexuality anytime. Why would I want to be ostricized? Why would I want to be in one of the high risk groups of getting HIV? and the list goes on. It has taken me a long time to come to terms with this and what you are saying is incorrect. The verses that you are referring to in Corinthians or not referring to two individuals in a same sex relationship but to pedestry where the father slept, and had sex with their son in order to teach them the way. That is what Paul was addressing.

It is all so very scary. We all sin every single solitary day and I have asked Jesus to forgive me for my sins and to find me worthy to enter the kingdom of heaven. When they say you have to overcome well I know that I do some kind of sin every day dear anger or depression or any number of things. I pray that I make it to heaven.

Why should sexuality matter here on earth when there is none in heaven? There will be no marriages so there will be no sexual relationships in heaven. We are all sinners no matter which sexual orientation we might have. We need to repent our sins and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ then and only then he will save us...
But if you blatantly ignore God and live an immoral life,you will not go to heaven according to the Bible. Just because He loves us does not guarantee a ticket to heaven. The choice is yours. He gives us free will

Christ taught that loving God and loving your neighbor are the two great commandments that fulfill and really replace all the Old Testament laws. Paul in the love chapter of First Corinthians says that of faith, hope and love, that love is the most important Christian value. So, all the discriminatory and exclusive kind of rules in the Bible should be subservient to love. If a Christian really believes in Christian love, he/she would understand and accept that. You are picking and choosing which sins God will forgive and which ones he won't. Most Christian churches and people believe that Christ will forgive all our sins. If we are saved at what point does God renege on his promise, and do you think you are really smart enough to know what God is thinking concerning any particular person? What gives you the supposed right to judge another person's salvation?

And please explain which image are you referring to, the soul or body(flash), I'm asking this because the bible is usually figurative. Which means we have to ask God for a deeper meaning, that is why he tells us to seek him and his kingdom.

So why are there so many religions all claiming their unique route to God? The answer is that they are all man-made fairy tales mostly written in an age when world literacy was low and the knowledge of science, mathematics and the universe was much less than it is today. Even today we know very little about it, but enough to debunk many of these so-called religious myths.
There is obviously a creative force at work which is beyond human comprehension. Everything in our world is finite; it must have a beginning; and end; a boundary. We cannot grasp the concept of infinity which underlines our insignificance in the universe. So why do most religions try to imagine God/Gods as super-human(s), living up there in the sky somewhere? Absolutely ridiculous.
Did you realise that the first Christian bible was published 400 years after Christ’s death? All the multifarious stories were passed along by word of mouth. No one knew anything about Christ until he was 30 years old and 3 years later, he was crucified. All the stuff about 3 wise men, being born in a stable, a guiding star, Angels coming down and all of the other tales are man-made fairytales.
For humans, love is natural and has no boundaries or human control. We all look for love, and when it comes it is magic, irrespective of gender. Hate is taught.

Dr. Betters, I understand your opinion, in this matter....HOWEVER,... the Bible has QUITE A CONTRIDICTORY VIEW ENTIRELY!! (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). So,...when your life has come to a close, do you HONESTLY BELIEVE that you will you be judged by the OPINION of Dr. Betters, or by the LAW of God?...I don't think that that should be a tough-choice to decide which of those two choices will take place, do you?!
Heaven is make believe. Homosexuals are real. Start caring about what is real.
NO ONE can answer that question or any other question until we all close our eyes in death...then and only then will we know our eternal destiny. Live your life and believe and trust in God to lead and guide you...and you'll be ok...don't live a life regretting who you are.
The Bible says, the wages of sin is death. In addition, God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. God is love, however, love is sometimes is not of God. Our Father does not love everything we love and adore. In short, God loves the homosexual, but he hates homosexuality, he loves the thief, but he hates stealing. God loves the liar, but he hates lying. The Bible says, yet while we were sinners, he died for all sin , which he died for friends and foes. Just think, at one time, we were doomed to the gates of hell, but is only by God's grace, we were given the right to eternal life through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As a result, it is imperative that we treat people as Jesus would treat them. Jesus is the truth, and he spoke the truth, it didn't matter the circumstances, even unto death.
Therefore, I disagree with you Dr. Betters, in my humble opinion, homosexuality is a choice. As matter of fact, all of us make choices on a daily basis. The Bible says, I place life and death before you, choose life. God does not send anyone to hell, those that are condemn to hell have chose their eternal damnation . The Bible says , It is not God's desire that anyone be damned to hell, but come in the knowledge and wisdom of Jesus Christ who is the only way to heaven. I don't believe that we can not change what God has made us or what we were born with when we arrived into this world. It does not matter what we attempt to cut, trimmed , separate, or alter. God made man and woman, he made them and define the sexes . Who am I to tell God that he created a mistake. There are only two position on earth, there is Creator or creation. You can not be the surgeon and patient in the same operation.
Now, I know there are struggles that all of us subjected to in regards to sin. As matter of fact, Paul knew this all too well, he defined himself as the Chief of Sinners. Moreover, Paul says, I know what to do, but I don't do it. He define himself as a wretched man , who could deliver him from the body of death. Jesus has given us to power to defeat sin, we are to plug into that power to defeat sin. Also, I am aware of certain physical situations that are undefined, like there are people born with both sexes. However, a man cannot become a woman, and woman cannot become man internally. Their bodies are not structured that way physically. This is why a man can not physically have a baby. In other words , the chromosomes have been eternally established from birth. To say I was born that way, it is wrong because there are people that have been delivered from homosexuality everyday. Yes, a person who believed and practiced an alternative lifestyle sexually has been suddenly healed. As Christians, we are to speak the truth and truths of Jesus Christ, it is the power of the Holy Spirit that can change us from the inside. And we are to follow Jesus way, we are to love God with all our mind, heart, and soul. And we are to love others as God has loved us because love covers a multitude of sin.
You first say that you disagree with Dr Betters and then you prove that you actually agree with him. Which is it?
asking if gays will go to heaven is like asking if a man that goes to female prostitutes will go to heaven. if he stops seeing prostitutes and repents maybe he has a chance at heaven
How do I 'learn' not to be depressed? I've suffered from severe depression all of my life which has brought with it many illnesses. I don't sleep and often go without eating for several days at a time. I have OCD from having depression. I suffer from severe anxiety at times. It's the anxiety that's the most troublesome of all.
I've been told by medical experts that I have a chemical imbalance and that's why I take an anti-depressant, I guess it helps regulate the chemical imbalance? But how does one 'learn' not to be depressed? I've always seen the glass half empty never half full. I've felt as though I've been broken my whole life.
My mother also suffered from depression. But, she had a reason to be depressed. In 1954, when she was just 14 years old, she snuck out of her family home to go a movie theater with her best friend, when the movie was over they were offered a ride home by three 20 something year olds. They first took her friend home, they didn't take my mother home -- she was abducted and raped instead. Her own mother blamed her for it because she snuck out of the house and my mother was never the same again. My mom never got any help with what happened to her. She didn't even tell me about what happened to her until I was in my 30's. When she did, I was shocked.
My mother passed away in 2019. When she passed, I didn't allow myself to grieve fearing the depth of depression that it would cause, but for some reason this year 2022 I've fallen into a deep depression over her being gone. I go to work each day and put on this act of normalcy but when I get home, I crash. I cry.

You can't 'learn' not to be depressed, but you can call on the Lord. Ask Him to heal you. Ask Him for peace and strength, and to fill you with His presence. ... It's okay to cry and to feel pain. You're only human, and grieving is a normal and healthy process. Just don't let darkness consume you. Pray to the Lord. He loves you and will help you.

If a person has cerebral palsy, a physical defect, and has all the behaviors that go with it, but accepts Christ as their personal savior and lives an otherwise good Christian life, will he/she be accepted into heaven? If a gay person is gay because of a genetic defect and therefore has a physical defect and has all the behaviors that go with it, but accepts Christ as their personal savior and lives an otherwise good Christian life, will he/she be accepted into heaven? If the person with cerebral palsy is not rejected because of a physical defect, then a gay person should not be rejected because of a physical defect.
The main reason why homosexuals, bisexuals and lesbians are way they are is simply because they are possessed with evil spirits. Deep down they are actually straight. Basically, all they have to do is go through a deliverance process, and our Heavenly Father God will deliver them from these evil spirits through Jesus Christ (The Word of God) and by the Holy Spirit. After they are delivered from these evil spirits, they must not sin (especially commit any sins of sexual immorality) , and they should have relationship with Jesus Christ; they must abide in Jesus Christ (the Word of God) , and they must have the filling/presence of the Holy Spirit inside of them or else the evil spirits will just return with 7 spirits that are more evil in nature to possessed them.
Also before deliverance they should actually accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, and repent of all sins, and get rid of any curse objects (sex toys, porn, sensual/erotic literature etc). They should severe any sexual relationship they have with a person of the same sex. They should also get a full water immersion baptism in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Also they should go into prayer and fasting (which is to be done simultaneously). They can use their own heartfelt words in prayers but they will have to use spiritual weapons of warfare: the Word of God and Fasting. They should hear the Word of God, they should speak the Word of God, they should meditate on the Word of God , and they should sing praises to God.
Some evil spirits can be casted out in the name of Jesus Christ. While Some evil spirits only come out by prayer and fasting. The more people praying and fasting or this deliverance the better. A persons biblical fast should be kept secret. It is may be possible that a believer in Jesus Christ ( who has the filling of the Holy spirit) who has enough FAITH OR BELIEF from hearing the Word of God, and who speaks the Word of God, and who meditates on the Word of God and he engages in Prayer and Fasting will be able to cast the evil spirits out of a person. If a gay or bisexual person goes through this deliverance it common for them to receive spiritual attacks (but they will overcome them) , and they may have to go through PRAY and Fasting for period of time.
. We are not all God’s children. The Bible says God will give us the power to BECOME a child of His. Jesus on occasion, told some people they are of their father the devil. If you people think gays are born that way, and that makes it ok, then by your same logic, Hitler, Charles Manson, Jeffery Epstein, serial killers, ect. are born that way, so I guess what they did was not wrong, being as “God made them that way” We are All born sinners, that is why people must be “born again” to be saved, and go to heaven.
Paul actually says compares being a Christian is like being an athlete. So you be you have to work at it. You arent getting Grace of you dont read the bible.

I believe in Jesus Christ is the way and repenting from sin we will stumble time to time but we have to make a honest attempt to be obedient and faithful to God If you love God you would want to make him happy and obey him because he is telling us not to sin because he knows how much pain it caused and destroys are life these days and times why can’t we see the pain and destruction and void the norm causes. I also read a scripture of The disciple saying The heart is wicked and can not be trusted who can understand stand it . What makes people think that we are all God's children. That is a total fallacy. God created man in His own image, correct, but Adam disobeyed and sin entered into the world and death by sin, so death is passed upon all men, for all have sinned. We are God's creation, not God's children. In fact the Lord talking to religious people in His time, said 'ye are of your father, the devil'.
In the Old Testament God chose a nation as His people, Israel, that is why when we come to the New Testament in John's gospel, chapter 1, it says 'He came unto His own and His own received Him not . . . now listen to the rest of the verse . . . but to as many as received Him, to them gave He the right (or power) to BECOME the children of God, even to them that believe on His name, who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. In chapter 3 we are told 'except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.
In 2 Corinthians ch. 5 we are told that 'if any man be in Christ, there is a 'new creation' old things are passed away, behold all things are become new'.
Flesh is flesh,, spirit is spirit. Nothing of the flesh can enter into Heaven. If you want to keep doing your sexual practices which are contrary to scriptural teaching, then you cannot be a new creation in Christ Jesus. The 'Old man' has to go.
Of course we are all God’s children. Why do you think Jesus refers to Him as the “Father?” God wants the best for His children and we should all repent daily and live our life for Him. If you love Him you will want to do this

I do believe that people are born with predispositions but they also learn by what they see and how they live. Gay parenting is biased in every way and does not work. We can have all kinds of things about us that are displeasing to God. We need to act as Jesus did and how he taught. That is how we enter heaven. There is no other way!!

I got cussed out and thrown out of the lives of my sister and her daughter for telling them this very same thing. Some ppl really won't hear the truth. Even though i told them the truth out of love I didn't tell them what they wanted to hear and it infuriated them tremendously.
Cool. But people every day get killed, rapped, get thrown out of their homes just bc they are gay or trans.
You still did the right thing. You planted seeds. Now it’s time for the Holy Spirit to work on them and let those seeds grow. They will come to understand. I have family the same way. Christians are called to spread the gospel and try to save souls from going to hell.

I am not a Christian. But I attend Christian College and study the Bible very extensively. From what I understand if we "accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior and that we believe He died on the cross for us" then we are "saved." No matter what.. If we sleep with men, women, whatever, it don't matter. Sin is sin and they have already been forgiven. If you are "saved" you go to Heaven.
But if you get "saved" and still live in sin and you don't act any different than before were you ever truly saved? And when you are saved you don't want to sin anymore and when you do you feel bad about it and try to do better.
The moment you come to Christ Jesus > humbly and truthfully > You are saved, no matter the magnitude of your sins > but at that same moment > we can Not continue committing the same sins > you must be born again, meaning if you were homosexual > you must stop being one > because homosexuality is an abomination to GOD *.• May Our Lord bless and keep everyone, Always * Amén •
@Fausto Acosta I agree with your comment. However, when you say you must stop being one that raises the question. When you are saying being one is that I must stop having those feelings, or I must stop acting on those feelings. Feelings come and go, and we are in charge of our thoughts. We are to take every thought captive to Christ. I may think those thoughts are part of my being, but they are not part of who Christ has called me to be in him. Setting aside our past lives we go on to perfection in him and we do not take along with us the sinful practices of the past.
That is not correct. You fall away from God if you sin and don’t repent. Just because you believe does not give you a free ticket to heaven. When you are saved,you are born again. You live every day following God’s Word. If you go out and do something immoral you need to repent and don’t do it again. God is very firm about who will go to heaven and who won’t.

The idea that by falling back into something means you aren't living in Christ - yes - but all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory. If you lie even ONE time - then you also aren't living in Christ. If you have ONE immoral thought towards adultery then you are now an adulterer in your heart. This is what Christ said. The thing that most people don't understand is that being a created thing - sin always exists - because no one is perfect but God. The angels err because they are not the creators but created. God speaks of this many times in the Bible. Faith is required when you cannot objectively verify a situation - thus - in Heaven you will never be able to verify that God is God by being bigger than God and trying to objectively look at what He says - it's required forever. We aren't even going to have marriage in heaven! No one is going to be gay or straight - so the amount of grace that God gives - can only be reconciled with the deepness of the relationship with God - not by the word of man. Seek the relationship with Christ - and everything else will follow. There is a bigger picture and when you get a glimpse of that - you can build upon it.

2 Chronicles 7:14(KJV)
if my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Meaning what where who which you are if you follow this scripture then you will be save and be with the Lord to eternity.
Please note from2 Chron 7:14, "turn from their wicked ways". You can not continue to commit that sin!

That is definitely NOT what the bible says. Read 1 Corinthians 6- "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men"
One can not be a born again spirit filled Christian and continue to practice sin. Read 1 John 3:9)
Repent and trust Jesus as Lord and Savior.
You can call yourself a Christian if you like the way it sounds, but living in LGBT lifestyle you are not following Christ you are following the flesh. Your own desires. I pray that you allow Christ into your LGBT life, and let him allow you to start leading your life. It will not happen overnight, but changing YOU sometimes takes an entire lifetime to complete.
