I appreciate all of you letting me chat to someone who I really enjoy and I know many of you are Cosmere fans, either independently or because Mark and I dragged you into it. Hopefully this is a fun interview regardless.
Very rarely do we get treated to such a wonderful intersection of topics. Thanks for your work Travis! You're probably closest to being the perfect interview for Brandon.

It's a really good book... It's not perfect, but if has a lot that is just...so good. In a lot of ways it feels like a setup and i think people expectations and attachments gets in the way of some people's opinion. I think many people that had honest negative reactions will revise their opinions down the road and appreciate this book much more than their initial impression....(there are a surprising number of trolls that aren't really somewhat disappointed fans, but are just trolls trolling out of hatred with an agenda)

31:00 personally I don't really like cozy or romance books in general. But Tress is just that good that I love it anyways. That plus the shorter length i think is the simple reason here. Its just fun all the way with great story characters and pacing
Worse book he ever wrote. I think everyone has put Sanderson on a pedestal like Lucas and prob his inner circle scared to tell him the truth. This prob the weakest book of the series. The obsession with the MCU and its success is really evident in the latest book, and only detracts from it in everyway. The Cosmere has been thoroughly 'Marvelised' and it's a shame.
To me the some of the main appeal of his works is the connected Universe and since stormlight is the longest series Its the best opportunity to use all of these systems together. Because of that I just hope he will as much as possible.
