No one told me Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb (2003) was awesome, and in this video I tell you why!
As Indiana Jones, you’ll travel to 1935 China to prevent a powerful artifact from falling into evil hands. This globe-spanning adventure pits you against evil Nazis and the Asian underworld. It’ll take more than just a trusty whip and pistol to avoid the perils of the Emperor’s Tomb.

One of the best Indy games period. Each stage is unique and challenging. The lack of checkpoints is rage inducing, some parts are straight not fair, but man when the game allows you to explore, fight baddies or just do puzzles on your own pace, you get very chill experience. And don’t forget the drill level.

I'm a big Indy fan and am very nostalgic about this game. The opening of the new film, Dial of Destiny, did give me Prague castle vibes.

I really enjoyed the new movie. It wasn’t the best in the series, but it’s a real shame that it flopped. For me, this game was totally Uncharted before Uncharted ever became a thing. I was really hoping now that Nathan Drake’s story is done, some development team would continue the Indiana Jones franchise as video games and make them just like Uncharted. Now that the new movie flopped, I doubt it will ever happen. 😞. At least we have this and Staff of Kings though.

@@JeddtheJedi It was a really fun movie. The only thing that truly bothered me which I have criticized about it is that they were foolish not to bring back Short Round. The actor who played him is a grown adult now and an Oscar winner. He easily could and should have returned if even for a cameo. I personally think he should have been the friend who assisted them with the dive. That was a very foolish mistake. We never found out what became of him.

@@rockybalboa4593 Yeah, it's really too bad because that would have been wonderful. They had just finished shooting Dial of Destiny when Everything Everywhere All At Once was released and won the Oscar. It really would have been nice to see Indy and Short Round reunite, especially since this movie already brings Sallah and Marion back too.

I wish they had more Indiana Jones games like this one but sadly poor Indy’s gaming history takes a huge dip after this games release. Some people love the Indiana Jones LEGO games and there’s also a somewhat decent psp game called Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings but beyond that you won’t find anything close to Emperors Tomb. Hopefully Bethesda’s attempt at a up and coming Indiana Jones game will be a much needed return to quality Indy gaming.

Had never played this before until my husband saw it was backwards compatible on Xbox and told me I’d like it, got frustrated with certain parts but such a great game, would be cool to see a new Indiana Jones game in this style, at this point games are probably a better choice for the character than movies.

It's actually sad how many people don't know about this game, I think the end development was rushed cause of a tight budget and the game still turned out nearly perfect. It really deserves a proper remaster.....

Well, now we get a whole new Indy game it seems. Let's just hope it won't fall prey to the usual pitfalls of modern AAA gaming, and turns out to be a complete experience with no major issues.... let's hope. And that the soundtrack will be on par or even better than Emperor's Tomb!

The Uncharted series was obviously heavily inspired by these games. These were the original Uncharted games before they evolved IMO. They easily could continue the IJ franchise through video games by making new games with the same structure and style as Uncharted. I really wish they would since Nathan Drake’s story is done.

I loved this game so much on my PS2. Was literally addicted to it and spent countless hours on it as hard as it was it was still an incredible game, too bad Harrison Ford doesn’t voice Indy in the game but other than that it’s a really enjoyable experience. Sucks the game also wasn’t made into a movie.

I’m playing it for the first time now and loving it!!! I grew up with PS2 and somehow missed it. lol. It feels like John Williams is following me around and I’m playing the movie the way the music follows me especially during combat. Very well done. For me this was clearly Uncharted before Uncharted ever became a thing. It’s obvious to me that series was heavily inspired by this game. I just wish I was able to somehow get my graphics to be crisp on my HDTV. The game is super fun but the graphics and text are just really blurry.

I had no idea that Temple of Doom was a prequel to Raiders and now it all makes sense! In ToD, Indy seemed skeptical the Sankara Stones were magical or even real which to me seemed weird since he just got done dealing with the Nazis and the Ark. If ToD came before Raiders it makes sense that Indy doubted the stones’ power since this was technically his first encounter with the “divine.”
P.s. I know there are other stories that came out that had Indy dealing with other mystical/magical artifacts when he was younger but I’m talking about strictly the movies here.

For many years I thought this was an Xbox exclusive. Also thought it was 1st person only because the commercials of the game back then showed it in 1st person perspective. I had a PS2 so I thought I couldn't play it. Happened to come across it in a pawn shop right around the same time Staff of Kings came out. I thought Staff if Kings had noticeably better graphics but Emperor's Tomb was a more fun game.

Why anyone told you ? Well probably because of this stupid trope that "EVERY licenced game sucks" which I hate and is totally WRONG.
This bad reputation came mostly from the 5th gen of consoles like the ps1 where the pass the torch from 2D to 3D was really a struggle for developpers.
But the 6th gen of consoles (ps2, xbox, etc) was and still IS the golden age for licenced games, they released hundreds probably. And I didn't say they were all good but a lot of them were decent, hidden gem and some are still bangers nowadays.
I mean people tend to forget that the batman arkham games or even alien isolation are licenced games. If you want to try others like this one, you should give these two a chance :
    - The matrix path of neo (2005)
    - 007 everything or nothing (2003) which also have a cover system (crazy for the time period)
Btw, I'm gonna dare say it but ... 007 nightfire & 007 everything or nothing are better than goldeneye 64 ;)
