- if you ever open the head to your Ford and notice that the radiator hoses are collapsed and wonder what causes this and what you need to do to fix it and ensure that you don't have a radiator hose leak later on down the road this video will show you what the cause and proper professional repair is.
My 5.0 fx4 scab got a bit too warm a few days ago. I opened the hood and began inspecting the hoses. Right away I noticed the upper hose was collapsed. Thanks for posting the fix!
Thank you sir for confirming my thoughts on the same issue!
Appreciate ur video , went out this morning to fix my cai and noticed the upper radiator hose was collapsed , guess I’m going to the dealership and getting hoses and a new cap , lol
Glad it helped
Baddasss brother! Thank you!!
Oh thank god, this helped big time
Thank you for you vedio it is happen with me in my gt mustange 2013 as you in vedio...thank you very much
Thanks 🙏🏽
I have a 1989 Ford 350 7.3 l diesel it was overheating quite a bit couldn't figure out the problem so I replaced my radiator cap still overheated then I replace the bottom hose cuz it blew off still overheated so I thought it was a leaky head gasket put some sealer into the radiator that clogged my radiator cap and caused a collapsed hose I clean and flushed out the radiator put the cap back on I haven't had a issue with a collapsed hose. And found out it was a fan clutch. I would have never known any of that so,Thank you
I figure change the thermostat also if you remove the upper and lower radiator hose.
I had the collapsed lower radiator hose, I replaced both upper and lower radiator hoses, the thermostat and the reservoir cap.
I had my truck jacked up in the front for a couple of days, I also did an oil change. After lowering the truck and checking for any leaks I backed up maybe 30 feet, I checked for leaks again and I had coolant leaking from the front of the muffler? Any thoughts?
Do you have a video on how to replace the bottom hose, 2018 f150 2.7 ecoboost?
Would this issue cause rpm surge? Mine has the flat hose also . Getting new cap tomorrow.
Great vid. My local shop charged me $908 for all this work. Thoughts?
I wonder if a switched thermostat could have caused the hose collapse as well ???
I replaced my radiator cap just like you said but I still have a collapsed talk radiator hose coming from the thermostat and my reservoir tank is still full any help I would appreciate it very much you very much. Also my bottom radiator hose feels like it has no coolant going from the radiator to the engine block
Same. I'm actually replacing my lower one tomorrow.
Maybe a switched thermostat did it? I just replaced my thermostat and now my lower hose collapsed.
