It's hilarious that this came out now haha. Legitimately like 4 days ago me and my friends were debating who we could get away with taking out to inckude ix and tlelaxu since we'd never played the expansion before. We dunped guild and EMP for them and it made firemen wildly powerful. Nobody had any money and firemen contested every spiceblow to the point where firemen was filthy rich and nobody could afford to contest them haha. Definately keep EMP or guild next time to keep more spice in the game and make an alliance that can compete with the fremens spice efficiency.
That's crazy. I hope the video helps. It's also important to note that tleilaxu don't function as much of an economy faction until later in the game, so that'll be your problem that game.
Most faction matchups will work great as long as you keep in mind the number of eco factions and potential turn 1 winners. It's tough to recommend any specific one because of this, other than all base game factions or all expansion factions.
