Dig the videos! I always throw the meter on the trigger wire @ the solenoid before replacing to check that I’m in fact getting enough juice to energize it. Glad you figured it out! That stuff can be a headache
Good glue to use is HV-350, I believe in cures clear, but can be painted with oil or water base paint. Works well. Taryl sells it and i believe Ace Hardware carries it as well. Thank you my friend for sharing your journey :) Have a blessed day :)
Battery Bolts, Stainless 1/4 inch with either nylon nuts, washers. all stainless, buy them by the box at Ace Hardware. Saves time and will not corrode for your new owner :)
Just sold one..And my daily cutter is a dtl3000. Have to turn the motor to compression stroke now and then..Weak starter i think.Battery to prolly..lol..Good mowers tho..Lt 2000 1000 all they are.Poulan Husky..hehe.Subbed up.. ❤
I really like the Toro Timecutters as a budget zero turn option. I know the decks can get worn out, but I haven’t personally had one with deck issues yet. I have a friend that has a newer Ariens ICON XD (if I remember correctly) and he likes it. Of course, I would pick a commercial mower like a Grasshopper, Hustler, Scag, eXmark, etc. over a Timecutter or Ariens.
I believe there is black gorilla glue but you could also try using clear instead of the white Gorilla Glue. Less cleaning needed and will look better. Just me 2cents. Have a good day.
Great video! Fun to see a classic ordinary Craftsman get fixed up!
Impressed with your willingness to show when you’re stumped. We all get stumped from time to time. Great video.
Thanks!
The music brought me back to your older videos. Where are your boots? Glad to see you are doing well.
The boots were getting worn out. The shoes I wear now are actually steel toed with metatarsal guards! My boots were just steel toed

Yep! That would be a good practice.
I did the same with my Toro seat didn't really clean it up that good So I just glued it good and tied it down over night and it's been great so far 👍🏾

Thank you for watching!
So many issues with this one but you can get it fixed and running again
Gorilla Glue makes a clear now that we use in our shop. It is a "weaker" hold but we haven't noticed any issues in the jobs we've done with it.
Nice!!! Maybe they will add black soon as well!

Good to know!

Thanks for the sub!
How much were you able to get for the one you just sold? In my neck of the woods it’s probably a $600 machine fixed up like this.
What if it's the ignition switch?
It was.😎
Looking for a zero-turn mower - 42 inches nothing bigger. Because my old ariens mower is just worn out. The motor is in great shape and no leaks.

Put a test light on the starter and turn the key over and if clicks and test don't light doesn't light up solenoid is bad
That would do it!

Yes, I’ve heard that there is clear available now. Hopefully black will become available soon as well.
Thanks!
Shim and adjust the valves my guy.
The valves had been adjusted fairly recently, so they should be ok
