I call David the god of music. I know there are singers that have maybe more range or more control over their voices (such as Dimash, who is no doubt the best singer in the world), but for me David was, is and will always be the god of music, cause his voice and songs are just so amazing. I owe my life to this man, who through his music helped me battle depression and suicidal thoughts for more than 10 years now. So he will always be my hero, no matter what anyone says about him or the band. Their music has a powerful message.
I love how you honor your parents. That is an important message to the young generation. My respect to you. And my respect to your parents. Also I am sorry for your loss.

I was born August 24, 1984 with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and Pneumonia, my parents were told I wouldn't live more than a few months or years, I survived my first seizure on June 12, 2019 and I'm still here.

My wife first got diagnosed with cancer when she was early pregnant with her 2nd daughter Shelby Lynn. They did surgery on her without knowing. Once they found the pregnancy the drs tried every way in the world to abort the baby and start chemo immediately. She absolutely refused and they kept telling her she wouldn't carry her full term. At 6 months pregnant she had a wreck and hit the steering wheel. It broke both of Shelby's hips. Again the drs tried to deliver immediately and let fate take its course. Lora said hell no. She was due May 11 and Shelby was delivered by c sec on April 11. She is 14 years old and healthy and beautiful. Her mom was 38 yrs old when we lost her to cancer 3 days ago on 10/13/2020. They told her she would never raise that baby girl. She did for 14 years.
This is one of my favorite songs, period! I have lived this song...and it's totally true...sometimes when you're at your lowest point, you're shown the way out! I am 20+ years sober...

This song is my go to currently and definitely in my top 5 all time. I've been recovering from post concussion related symptoms that at one point had me barely able to get out of bed or walk across a room without assistance. Makes you re-think your priorities. Great reaction as always. Stay positive man.

I'm 36, have had dushan muscular dystrophy and have been on a breathing machine my whole life, I had my first seizer in November of 2019
and lost my dad in 2016 but every once in a while I feel like he's watching.

This song was amazing live. I caught them in Nashville last year. He had the entire crowd hold up their flashlights and lighters when he said "the light." It was an otherworldly experience. Now, every time I hear that verse, I get chills.
Bro, I’ve heard you mention your dad many times, but never heard the story. It sounds like he was one heck of a fighter!!! As for the doctors, forget their time frames. We both know there is only one who dictates that!! Amazing song, and amazing video!!! Keep them coming!!!

This song carried me through a very hard stretch of my life, from having to move home after a job failure and losing feeling in most of the right (dominant) hand from a freak accident. This song gave me hope that things would get better even at their worst.

The first time I had heard this song, I had recently ended a relationship with an abusive ex. I also was born with heart disease and wasn't expected to live then later in life suffered with an eating disorder. Guess what, I competed in my first bodybuilding competition this past Saturday and actually got to tell my story. If I hadn't had my eating disorder, I might not have found bodybuilding

So sorry for your loss...
I have also lost my dad, on the 5th of August last year. One of the songs that helped me go through the entire funeral ceremony was "Indistructible", I have listened to it 3 days in a row and it became my personal anthem. The other songs that had helped me keep going were "The Light", " A Reason to Fight", "Hold on to Memories". Maybe you can give them a try. It's such a good song he might get teary eyes. It's also one I did suggest. I visited a friend's grave shortly after HOLD ON TO MEMORIES was released, and soon as I started my truck and the radio came on, so did the start of the song. I told his widow, and she says it was him telling me THANK YOU FOR COMING BY. I HAD GOOSEBUMPS AFTER THAT

I love this song more than I can say. I was in a very dark place, living with schizophrenia...literally all there was, was darkness. I wanted to get better, but in order to do that you have to do a lot of hard core introspection...and you can't lie to yourself, else you'll never get better. It got darker and worse the more I got to know myself, because the more I got to know myself, the more I hated myself, the more stressed out I became, the worse the schizophrenia became, to the point that I crushed up and swallowed 300mg of morphine...to this day, I don't know how I'm still alive, but there you go.
I'll tell you that it doesn't get any darker than that. I was literally dying in the hospital (they fed me a charcoal drink that wasn't as bad as you'd think it was, and had to keep waking me up through the night because my body wanted to shut down pretty badly).
Any rate, That was the day that showed me that my family did love me...my wife and kids loved me, and I just couldn't see it. The darkness showed me the light.
I can say, with confidence, that schizophrenia CAN be beaten (like my wife says: it's a mental illness. Your brain started it, and your brain can fix it)...and this song damn near brings me to tears every time I hear it.
I wouldn't say in all cases a person's brain starts schizophrenia.
Because being in solitary confinement long enough can trigger it.
All it takes is enough fear and stress and those things can boil down to what a person is put through.
I would likewise add people can act in a way that makes you think they don't love you when they do or someone can fake loving you.
So you can never really be sure with people.
Because relationships are complicated.
I butt head's with people I love quite a lot but it's not because I don't love them.
I will also add not everyone has loving family's either.
But either way I am glad everything is going great for you at now.
I am so so sorry your life led you down that path. You impress me so much, and I admire you for what you have gone through. Thank you for having the courage to share that, and I will pray for you, my friend. God Bless you. Much love to ya.
