I always thought the Genesis themes for this game sounded better than SNES. Undertakers theme on SNES flat out has wrong notes and the gong is way off. On Genesis, Taker, Bret Hart, Crush, Duggan all have amazing themes. Even some of the heels.
play it on the blastem emulator. it truly makes it play like the genesis console version with the added synths to the faded parts of the bell. as the blastem emu is perfectly accurate to the genesis console system in various ways that i enjoy.
I remember i would get my figures and turn on the game. Then i would line the music up with their entrances. Im sure im not the only one as i dont think their were releasing music yet on tape/cd
its a pretty cool roster.. it being 1993 n all.. this is actually the last WWF game for the 90's to have hulk hogan, randy savage, n ultimate warrior. they all left to wcw
I Always Played As The Undertaker against Hulk Hogan. Great Game That Never Gets Boring! Lets See The Hulkster Try To Step Into The Deadmans Yard Now & See Hogan Tap Out To Hells Gate! Hulkamania...Rest...In...Peace!!!
There is just something about 16-bit music that I love lol. Hard to explain but they bring back a lot of memeories from the early 90's when I was about 5-6 years old. Everyone said the Genesis sound card sucked in comparison to the Snes but I think these themes sound good on the Genesis.
this is it..this is what started getting me scared of the undertaker when i was younger and until his day he's my favorite i use to always skip his music
@ICryOverSpiltMilk Especially the Undertakers and the way they included the little ascending notes bit at 3:44. That was always my favourite part of his theme. Don't do it anymore :(
WWF Royal Rumble would of been awesome if the default wrestlers were just Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Crush, Jim Duggan, Lex Luger, Shawn Michaels, Rick Martel. Papa Shango, Razor Ramon and IRS, Ric Flair,Mr Perfect,Ted DiBiase,Yokozuna,Tatanka Unlockable wrestlers would be Big Boss Man,Nailz,Max Moon,Doink,Jerry Lawler,The Beverly Brothers,The Steiner Brothers,Virgil,Bam Bam Bigelow,Skinner,The Head Shrinkers,The Berzerker,Koko B Ware,Damien Demento,Giant Gonzales,Bob Backlund,Kamala,The Nasty Boys,Owen Hart Unlockable feature Steel Cage match
Sadly, Jose, due to cartridge memory constraints, that would not have been possible without overclocking it. You'd also need a save feature, requiring a battery in the cart, which would have pushed the price of the game up to probably $100 in 1992 money. For that time, $100 would've been too much to shell out for a game. =P
@JULIAN CROSS-TITAN Evander Holyfields Real Deal Boxing had a save feature in which you can reset the game, I'm sure they could of done the same thing with the Royal Rumble video game for sega and snes.
One of my all time favorite games! But I wonder why Genesis was the only system at the time that had The Undertaker's full theme as it existed back then. The SNES version just goes half way and then starts over again.
Most likely could not have due to memory limitations, these were 16-bit carts, not the arcade WrestleFest. (Capcom's Saturday Night Slam Masters though had simple introductions if you meant it that way)
I wouldn't buy a Wii if someone gave me the money for it honestly. If you can find a Sega, then more power to you. I think you can download emulators, but I don't have the kind of time to really download and play the old games.
As far as games that featured Hogan, I still think this one had the best version of his music. I don't think it sounded right on anything else up to this point.
Oh My God, tips on getting taller and asking someone how does he get to be 6'11'' ? OMFG. Probably on my all time list for moronic question. You're in my top 5 for sure.
if the snes version would have hulk hogan and papa shango it would be the better version because of mr. perfect, tatanka, yokozuna, ted dibiase, they are much more legends then the model, jim duggan or irs
Being a 90's kid ruled... WWF, Beavis and Butthead, Mortal Kombat
Yep had all 3
I can relate
Street Fighter as well
Don’t forget Batman the animated series
I let their BGMs run for quite some time before I start playing the game haha
...I keep coming back to this video just to hear the theme...of The Undertaker...
Bruh! Me too his song and IRS/Million Dollar Man theme Sega versions was FYRE 🔥
Exactly me tooo
You mean his favorite song
How many have since passed on. Thank you for my childhood!
man bret harts music was awesome in this game
It is fantastic!
Hell yea
It's amazing!!
This is Hart Foundation version, and first ever Bret Hart's theme aswell as a solo wrestler.
I didn’t understand how to play this as a kid so I just listened to the roster themes
The 90s was a great decade to be a kid.
Possibly the best Sega Genesis wrestling video game I ever played.
Jennifer Suarez by far
same here i love undertakers theme he is what got me into watching wrestling back in 1991
Hogan's theme on here was (in my view) the best 16-Bit rendition of the real deal,
I love these old wrestling games or sports games in general, such a time capsule.
the themes would make cool ringtones.
i love the undertakers theme
You mean his favorite song
2:38, surprisingly undertakers theme sounds better here than the SNES

Fr. Music wasn't as instant as UA-cam is now.
Ahh memories. My cousin used to pick Razor Ramon and I used to pick HBK.
You Forget A 1000 Things A Day Same
1:41
The Best 16-Bit version of Hulk Hogan's Real American ever!
this was one of the best wwe games ever
at the time
You tube is like a time machine that takes you back to your childhood.
So Randy Savage's theme is our graduation song..
The mutha effin memories!
*Nods head to Bret Hart's theme*
I couldn't do Jim Duggans finisher
i would say this is one of the two best theme song of undertakers that are more accurate and actually sound like the actual song at the time.
Man this brings back memories
all the memories are coming back to me now. i wish i had all the games again. i wish sega was still number one
its a pretty cool roster.. it being 1993 n all.. this is actually the last WWF game for the 90's to have hulk hogan, randy savage, n ultimate warrior. they all left to wcw
R.I.P Randy "Mach Man" Salvage I Loved You And Saluted You As A Kid
I MISS YOU RANDY SAVAGE R.I.P.!!!!
Wow I used to spend hours just cycling thru these people listening to the songs lmao a simpler time
Had to come back to this. Man...
My first wrestling game. Miss the good old days.
I miss playing this game.
Rip to those wrestlers that are no longer with us.
that's Bret the Hitman Hart First WWF Theme. . I'm Very serious that really was one of his first wrestling music.
I sure wish i was a kid again.
RIP Randy Savage
I played this game a lot in my childhood in 1993
Oh does this bring me back. I used to always play as Papa Shango, The Undertaker and Hulk Hogan.
My three favorite wrestlers in 91-93
I Always Played As The Undertaker against Hulk Hogan. Great Game That Never Gets Boring! Lets See The Hulkster Try To Step Into The Deadmans Yard Now & See Hogan Tap Out To Hells Gate! Hulkamania...Rest...In...Peace!!!
back when wrestling was actually watchable
I don’t care undertaker was scary as heck as a kid
There is just something about 16-bit music that I love lol. Hard to explain but they bring back a lot of memeories from the early 90's when I was about 5-6 years old. Everyone said the Genesis sound card sucked in comparison to the Snes but I think these themes sound good on the Genesis.
Real life superheros
Nostalgia...nostalgic
Bret's music sounds like something from Mortal Kombat.
omg this brings back some old memorys
this was back than when taker was scary
this is it..this is what started getting me scared of the undertaker when i was younger and until his day he's my favorite i use to always skip his music
Oh Man How Times Have Changed, Graphicly Especially lol But You Gotta Love The Classics
It was Randy Savage's theme. Originally used by Gorgeous George though.
Havcksaw's theme was bumpin
@ICryOverSpiltMilk Especially the Undertakers and the way they included the little ascending notes bit at 3:44. That was always my favourite part of his theme. Don't do it anymore :(
I wish DiBiase was in the Genesis version, my fav wrestler :(
IRS and the write off! Damn now I gotta hit eBay a buy this
bret hart s theme song is better on genesis than the snes
lmaooo oh my god this takes me back
I forgot how awesome these themes were on the Sega Genesis. I haven't played this game since I was a teen (I am 38 now).
i don't know why but i love 8 bit/16 bit music!
WWF Royal Rumble would of been awesome if the default wrestlers were just Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Crush, Jim Duggan, Lex Luger, Shawn Michaels, Rick Martel. Papa Shango, Razor Ramon and IRS, Ric Flair,Mr Perfect,Ted DiBiase,Yokozuna,Tatanka

Unlockable feature Steel Cage match

@@RaginRonic what are you talking about memory constraints?
@JULIAN CROSS-TITAN Evander Holyfields Real Deal Boxing had a save feature in which you can reset the game, I'm sure they could of done the same thing with the Royal Rumble video game for sega and snes.
Wow, 4:03. Crush's song would make a great level theme or boss fight in another game. Sounds nice and "cartridgy," not to mention cool =0
I came for the music lol
Bret Hart's intro on here was awesome. So was Razor Ramon's
11 years man..
shawn and undertaker already had a hell in the cell match and a casket match
Undertaker at 328lbs? Has to be a typo.
It's not. That was his announced weight for the first 8 or so years of his career.
I swear I would just leave it on crush’s theme and just jam out
One of my all time favorite games! But I wonder why Genesis was the only system at the time that had The Undertaker's full theme as it existed back then. The SNES version just goes half way and then starts over again.
wow, the undertaker's theme sounds the most authentic out of all the 32 bit produced songs.
well, he was in the SNES version. Yokozuna and Shawn Michaels to.
Undertaker Steps Through The Shadow Of Death To Wreck Havoc On Shang Tsung
i loved both versions of the game
bret hart's pose @ 0:53 is the coolest lol
He may be dead, but Crush's theme music was so much better than his gimmick
yeah I just wish they'd put Flair, Perfect & yoko in it...DAMN WWF made us wanna buy both!
macho man. gotta luv it
I forgot my playback speed was set at 1.5x........I can't go back....
Plus Mr Perfect, Razor Ramon, Yokozuna, and Tatanka.
Go sega
It sucks that the SNES version omitted the Hulkster. I still loved that game, though.
The Megadrive version didn't allow you the same freedom to run around outside the ring as the SNES version did.
Good games. Good times.
worriorjack, Warrior isn't in this. He left shortly before the 1992 Survivor Series and was gone until his brief 1996 comeback.
RIP Razor
i think he was in the super wrestlemania game for the sega
memories
I agree with that. No other game before it did it right.
Most likely could not have due to memory limitations, these were 16-bit carts, not the arcade WrestleFest. (Capcom's Saturday Night Slam Masters though had simple introductions if you meant it that way)

If you can find a Sega, then more power to you. I think you can download emulators, but I don't have the kind of time to really download and play the old games.
Crush kinda looks like Mr. Perfect.
I HAD THIS GAME!!!!!!
I used 2 leave it on the undertaker and mimick his entrance
I use to pick IRS and my bro use to pick Jim Duggan.
As far as games that featured Hogan, I still think this one had the best version of his music. I don't think it sounded right on anything else up to this point.
Omg This Brings Back Memories My Cousin Always Got Undertaker Before Me And I Had To Pick Someone Else And Got My Ass Wuped!
When wrestling was worth watching
The music is great I wish it was in svr 10
Oh My God, tips on getting taller and asking someone how does he get to be 6'11'' ? OMFG. Probably on my all time list for moronic question. You're in my top 5 for sure.
Lol yea I love crush's theme also
1:41 BROTHERRRRR!
i loved using crush and mr perfect and tatanka. i wonder y they never put ultimate warrior in the game
Probably because he owned his own name.
I still think SNES had the better roster but Genesis wins with the music.
if the snes version would have hulk hogan and papa shango it would be the better version because of mr. perfect, tatanka, yokozuna, ted dibiase, they are much more legends then the model, jim duggan or irs
