I went to probably 7 or 8 different Targets in the Twin Cities metro area, and could not find Python Patrol Officer at all. So I had to order one online. I still really dig this figure, even though he is a repaint of the Cobra Officer. The one difference though is his forearms, which are reused from the Cobra Infantry figure. As always, fantastic review man. Can't wait to unbox all these new Joes coming in 2023 with you! Cheers.
Kyle, the one thing that annoys me about this python patrol line is a figure has to be shorted an accessory for each release. The officer has no arm band, the bat loses a weapon and a chest plate. I do like this guy's color palette. He does seem the most likely to be jungle camoed. The skin tan or ethic change also to me fits being in a jungle for days. Don't hate relate. I did find the bat and viper along with an outback at my local Target. Waiting on my officers. I did pick up Outback. 👍
It's not a straight repaint it's got the torso and arms of the Infantry trooper. I want to drop the torso and arms in some rit dye and make it a straight black trooper.
All the toys will come with magazines. A clip is a strip of rounds that makes it easy to feed a magazine. Military weapons from WW2 or so often fed fixed magazines with clips. Modern weapons typically use detachable magazines, negating the need for clips. So with Classified, always a magazine.
This is the last one I need with window packaging. Well sure I am missing a few but I have almost all the joes. I am out now though with new box only ones. Sure you will get them and maybe after I see your thoughts I might get sucked in on them lol.
I got my two pre orders already, but I need to pick up a couple more. I never had any of the Python Patrol when I was younger (dipped out of the line before then) but I like them now. They are just different enough to grab my attention. I too am over the back of the box. We NEED cross sells, file card, action pose, something on the back.
I just got a couple of these backordered along with Recondo. They're definitely my favorite of the Python Patrol army builders. Less color works for me and the green looks good. Hopefully I get them soon. Always enjoy these JOE reviews.
PP Officer looks cool. Good point you made regarding the colorways in the PP line. It does look a bit odd when the figures are sporting different colored gear in the same unit.
I love the fact that they are using different skin tones to add more variety for this Classified line. There's even a darker skinned Viper in the 3 pack, which helps with believability. I'm not the biggest fan of the garish puke green/yellow, as I think there should be more contrast with the black shoulder padding like in the original release, but I still may pick up at least 3 if I see them in the wild.
There is an easy way to tell the difference between a magazine and a clip, a magazine has a spring a clip doesn't. Very few rifles use a clip, the only one I can think of is the M1 Garand
I haven’t seen him @ my Walmart in NY yet either…….I had to buy the crimson twins separately (well played hasbro you got me to basically buy the same figure twice😂they should have been a combo pack both for $40 or something) so I’m not complaining about re-painted figs I’ll get them …..the python patrol bat was the ugliest he looks the he’s wearing ski boots from the 90s
I love nightforce I hope by the end of the year we get the night viper (mole rat?) And praying the rumor that Chinese mfg is halting and all lines are going to Vietnam.

People are free to call an Inkpen a pencil, a gun a knife and a car a boat but to my Knowledge GI Joe Classified has never produced a clip. People are not triggered if you are calling something by the wrong name but to each their own. I enjoy watching your channel always. Take care and best wishes.

So this is a bit of an odd one, and I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but if you look back at the original Python Patrol figures from the vintage line, this guy is clearly based on the Python Patrol trooper, not the officer. The original PP officer had a much darker color sheme.
I guess you could say that people get TRIGGERED when you call the magazine a clip… amirite?? 😏

Wish they would have darkened his top and use the neon as accents and maybe add some neon camo highlights in the pants off

My local Target only has the PP Viper and PP B.A.T.
First time I pre order a figure that alone a G.I Joe figure and mine got back ordered. I'll get it between Thursday and Friday next week.
