Wait , SANS for free ? How …
I fill out the form but didn't get your feedback
I served from 2010 - 2016. Does it matter that I got out 8 years ago?? I've been working in sales since then. For the last 2 years I have been studying cyber at CIAT and completed a CPPT bootcamp from Divergence and still can't get an interview/job.
I'd try for your Sec+ if you haven't gotten it already and then try contracting. I went through Divergence -> Sec+ -> Helpdesk -> Sysadmin.
Which cybersecurity speciality is bulletproof for outsourced? Meaning it can not be outsourced... IT is a great industry however it's consistently outsourced to other nations?
Hmm that is hard one .
@@nicoleenesse please do a video lol
@@nicoleenesse I am in the process of not reenlisting. I currently have a bachelors degree in business, and I just started my master’s in Cyber Operations. I am also doing some coursera and CompTIA certs.
What certificates would you recommend to anyone who is getting out of the military?
Huge info. Great video.
An IT specialist in the Army??? Well, of course, you transitioned nicely into a cybersecurity career because you were already in the industry, so simply being a veteran without a related job in the service really means nothing in this context to career-changing veterans like me. But thanks anyway
You have a clearance. Did you watch the video?
Helloooooo😊
How is SANS free for veterans?
Look up SANS veteran immersion program it’s like a scholarship program. Alternatively you can use your gi bill on grad certs
@@DigitalHoplite Do we have to pay out of pocket?
@@DallasFort1857 if you get accepted for the veteran immersion program it’s completely free but you have to apply and aren’t guaranteed acceptance. If you do get it in I believe 4 certifications are included. For the gi bill if you do a degree or a grad cert from them the gi bill will cover tuition. The only bad thing about the grad cert path is I don’t think you are enrolled in enough credit hours at a time to get BAH.
