Can't wait for you to look at the DLC osts lmaooo, but if you want a series that rivals the greatness of the Elden Ring ost, I thoroughly recommend Nier Replicant (both the og ost and the remake ost are great) and Nier Automata. Gods bound by Rules, Shadowlord, Sond of the Ancients (Fate), and Fleeting Words (Outsider) are my recommendations from Nier Replicant. From Nier Automata I recommend Bipolar Nightmare, A Beautiful Song, Desert Housing (combat ver), and Weight of the World (Japanese Ver). Granted these are both just a few samples from each track, the entire osts of both games are absolutely stunning. Please consider looking at them.
"I would say 'you guys are throwing me in at the deep end', but this is _literally the title theme._ So the *_game_* is throwing me in at the deep end!" That's unironically a perfect description of just about any FromSoft game: deep end, feet-first, figure it out on the way down.
The beautiful part is that the beginning is the end, and the end is the beginning. The title theme is the theme for the final boss. And every single time you start up the game, you are reminded. Of your goal. Why you are playing the game. Only to have it confirmed after a long road of trials...we end where we started, so we can begin again.
Fromsoft is such a beacon of old school game design "Here are the basics, here's some gear to get you started, the world is out there, learn by doing!"

Leyndell feels like walking through ruins of a bygone age, with streets once bustling with life, now empty. All that remains are the husks of eld, present, but without purpose.
With how grandiose it is too rooftops of gold and it's almost too pristine to call ruins although there is a lot of destruction, such an incredible design
From software have by far the best composers in all of gaming when it comes to atmosphere through music. You could tell Elden Rings story entirely through music alone.
21:46 That final battle theme goes so quiet and ethereal because you stopped fighting a big dude with a golden *hammer on a large rocky platform, and started fighting a huge flowing star beast on an endless plain of water against a backdrop of galaxies
Notice how much more "triumphant" it is than Bloodborne? Elden Ring is From's first real power fantasy. The rest of their post-Demons' Souls games are various degrees of melancholy, bitersweet, and downright depressing, and it isn't like Elden Ring never is, but there is that sense, like you said, of punching God in the face. It's less hostile, more like you're on the same level as the old legends you're learning about.
I don’t feel any “same level” in the fights of Elden Ring, or that I’m punching a god in the face, and I never thought Dark Souls OSTs are all melancholic and bitter-sweet. I feel like people who say that are actually only thinking of Gwyn Lord of Cinder and The Abyss Watchers, because the rest don’t have a hint of melancholy-they are requiems.
"What tops this?! I have peaked!" False. The DLC's osts tops this, and only after you hear some of the main bosses themes from the DLC will you truly know the peak of Elden Ring ost's. Examples: Lion Dancers theme, Messmer's theme, Romina's theme, Midra's theme, Bayles theme, and Promised Consorts theme. Only after hearing these will you have reached the peak of Elden Rings ost.
@@keiffer777agreed. Main game OST is stronger..But DLC does have quite a few bangers. The point is, together they make Elden Ring OST the strongest there is.
Fromsoftware music is unmatched and just ...hits different. There just isn't anything like it out there, it's like a new level of video game music. You definitely need to do a part two of this because there are SO many bangers in the game and especially in the DLC. Suggestions (base game): Godskin Apostles, Margit the Fell Omen, DLC: Lord of Frenzy Flame, Promised Consort, Divine Beast Dancing Lion
I think the reason 'Regal Ancestor Spirit' hits me so much is that it reminds me of the music from _Journey_ -- hauntingly beautiful, with lots of sweeping strings and woodwinds that lift you up and carry you along with the whirlwind of the music. ('Leyndell' does as well, if not quite to the same stunning degree.) I'm not sure if it's one you've played before, but if not, I _cannot_ recommend its OST *_highly_*_ enough._ There's a couple of tracks on the OST that tell a story using those same blends of instruments, a tale of the ancient peoples whose ruins you spend the game traversing through to reach the distant peak -- the music, along with every other aspect of the game, is centered on that journey... hence the title, y'see.
Can also really strongly recommend the OST of the game Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, a prequel to the Zeno Clash games. For example, listen to The Boy Calls and Pseudo's Theme, the second and third track of the game's OST. Likewise, the OST tells a story, and some of them are elevated because they are tied to key moments in the game. Pseudo himself has three tracks. The first one introduces him and the almost prehistoric, tribal chanting, flute, drumming and electric guitar, befitting the monstrous martial arts hermit he is. It is not malicious, but it is powerful, intimidating and has structure. At the point where the electric guitar is introduced, it's like a new light or purpose has awoken within him. The second theme is more serious. There is less deep chanting, the voice sounds a bit... younger, i'd say. But there is more anger, the voice sings in an almost shouting manner, the flute is more prominent. Pseudo is angry and he will let you *know* it. If not by actions, then by sheer presence. The third one, Pseudo's Wrath, is preceded by To The End, a reprise of The Boy Calls that sounds like a merciless celebration of hope. I shall not describe it further, for you must hear it for yourself. Preferably in context. This is followed by Battle of Fates. Fought against an opponent personal to Pseudo. The music is slow, lumbering, regal and strict, like a king being honored by an unseen people. But once more, it is not malicious-- there is some sense of tragedy. At some point, the male chorus rumbles in like an avalanche. Not a foe, but a force. Unrelenting, undeniable, unstoppable. Yet the Battle of Fates gives space for the innocent, frail vocals first heard in The Boy Calls. The avalanche of the greater good is not without its mercy, and allows the innocence to speak for itself. THAT is when Pseudo's Wrath kicks in. The tribal instruments are now interwoven with the elements of the grand, bombastic choral parts from To The End and Battle of Fates, led by a fury and speed previously unseen in either of Pseudo's themes. Pseudo is an old creature of wisdom, of desperation, at the peak of his emotions like he has not experienced for who-knows-how-many years. For all intents and purposes he is merely a caveman against a king, an unyielding opponent for an unwilling foe. The vocals of men and women alike, wirl around him with gravitas, intensity and purpose that builds ever higher like the tempest against a temple... in a battle that ends with a final mournful note. Strongly and warmly recommend. The final three tracks i described i would sooner recommend to play the game for yourself to experience... but if you want to experience some other tracks first, have these: - Gemini's Palace - The Town - Wandering Players - Titans - Lonely Coast - Unstoppable - Hope - Moon-Sun Would love to hear your thoughts on some of them.
In the Final Battle track, you can hear hammer strikes occasionally in the first half of the song. It’s the final boss trying to reforge the Elden Ring, and I find it super cool that they worked that so subtly into the track!
I very much recommend listening to more songs off this ost, especially “Godrick, the Grafted”, “Godskin Apostles”, and “Godfrey, First Elden Lord”. Both are exceptional boss themes.
Ah yes... Malenia... the ost that gives everyone pure PTSD xD I've awaited this video and i was not disappointed. Little sidenote: most of the tracks stop half way, because those are Bossthemes and they almost all have second phases with teir respective music.
If you were blown away by Elden Ring Main Menu theme, then you are not prepared for Dark Souls 3 menu theme. Another recommended tracks from that game would be: “Vordt of the Boreal Valley” “Abyss Watchers” “Twin Princess, Lorian and Lothric” “Deacons of the Deep” “Epilogue” Recommended DLC Tracks: “Sister Friede” “Champions Gravetander” “Halflight, Spear of Church” “Slave Knight Gael”
@@jaredmartinez283 And the other one. Soul of Cinder is peak, but she needs to hear Gwyn theme first to get the full experience, that’s why I didn’t recommended.
When you said « in what planet was that a title theme? » that reminded me of the dark souls 3 title theme, because it was originally meant to be the theme of the final boss,, but then they massively expanded the game until what was the « final boss» ended up in the middle. So they changed its theme and just chucked the old one as the title theme, which I find just a little bit insane, but also very funny
Would highly recommend a part 2 or perhaps even a part 3! Elden Ring music is so good! My strongest recommendations are Divine Beast Dancing Lion, Promised Consort, Bayle the Dread, Messmer the Impaler, Lichdragon Fortisax, Godskin Apostles, and the Fire Giant theme

All great selections, REALLY hope you get Godskin Apostles in the next vid. Also, you may or may not have noticed this - basically every major boss in the game has a second phase. So when you hear the music pause, or shift into something else - that’s because the boss is growing stronger as well. Edit: yeah I thought you would enjoy Regal Ancestor Spirit 🤣
I don't know if you can survive the dlc tracks, they're on a whole other level, especially ones like the dancing lion, midra, messmer, those united in common cause and especially promised consort. Also dark souls 3 and bloorborne ost are just gorgeous.
Awesome you asked “is that capitol city a wasteland” because , it kind of is yes if you know the lore . That Leyndell music is so hauntingly beautiful. I get so lost in it everytime I’m in that area or Altus plateu which sits around it . So beautiful
It is always heartwarming to see how excited you get on these reaction vids. It's clear how passionate you are about both music and games, and it comes through in your content. Also, Elden Ring's OST is basically "oops, all bangers."
There has to be a part 2! For me personally, nothing will beat the theme of Fortissax, maybe only the Godskin theme is more epic Also, maybe good to note that many of the tracks have these little pauses in the middle, because the second part of the song is what is playing when the associated boss is in its second phase and basically goes nuts on you ^^
"I doubt you could even imagine it... that which commanded the stars, giving life its fullest brilliance. The Elden Ring - ohhh, Elden Ring! Shattered... by someone, or something. Don't tell me you can't see it. Look up at the sky. It burns!"
Some other amazing tracks (from basegame and the dlc) I would recommend for a possible part 2 to this would be: Lichdragon Fortissax Dragonlord Placidusax Bayle the Dread Divine Beast Dancing Lion Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame Starscourge Radahn The Promised Consort Scadutree Avatar Metyr, Mother of Fingers (this one is cool because the phase 2 prominently uses the real world sound of a black hole)
The 2nd phases of these songs are sort of the "now you know me" of the boss fights where they're done holding back on the player and give you the real stretch of the battle. Final Battle is literally taking the fight to the envoy of whom set order to the world. The very world the player took to the tribulations to cross and conquer. The very world that responded with great hostility to the player, all while guiding the player to become the successor and decide the best for the order once proven.
ragel ancestor spirit with top notch music that 90% of players will never see if they don't look closely at things in the game, that's the FromSoftware style.
Leyndell, Royal Capital always gives me the impression of something grand, something abandoned, and something sacred all at once, and that makes sense because it's literally the CAPITAL CITY of the Lands Between. It's the place where the most important decisions in the entire world of Elden Ring took place. It's where the Goddess, Queen Marika, resided, a place that has never lost to a seige (even if one came close), and the place where the Elden Ring was shattered, triggering the most devastating war to ever happen in the Lands Between. The Erdtree, the most sacred symbol in all the Lands Between, a monument you rarely EVER lose track of, was planted here. It's a place of reverence and worship, but also a place where people live, and where secrets and forgotten histories are literally buried beneath the city streets and behind locked doors. I love it, frankly. It's my favorite location in the game
I'll answer your question because I'm not seeing that anyone else has at this point. The music keeps stopping and shifting in the middle because that's when the boss shifts to the next phase. The player has progress through the fight far enough to get the music/phase change and until they get to that point the first part of the track will loop. The second part then loops til the end of the fight. To answer your other question, the DLC OST tops it. By a pretty wide margin in most cases.
For context about Leyndell, it is a beautiful, golden, and pristine city that seems almost frozen in time...and utterly devoid of life. Filled with undeath, all of its former citizens now withered corpses that shamble about, mindlessly trying to repeat what they had done in life. A sense of loss hangs in the air. A sense of regret.
Found your channel with this video and it's AWESOME! Pieces I'm most looking forward to: -Godskin Apostles -Liurnia of the Lakes -Starscourge Radahn -Godrick the Grafted (and my all-time favorite) -Lichdragon Fortissax 700+ hours and on my 19th playthrough, it's all just as magical as ever, and I'm so glad you're enjoying some of the best music EVER!!
Has someone ever suggested Fate Grand Order ost? Because that could be a godlike reaction, but there are so many worthy Bangers it could potentially take several videos My personal Suggestions are Blood Wind -BATTLE 5- Grand Battle 1 FATE -Sword Dance- And ORT battle 1 to 3 and ORT Xibalba BATTLE
Just had this pop up from the youtube algorithm, and I think you've gained yourself another subscriber. Not for Elden Ring, but just the sheer excitement radiating through this video, Music composers being excited about video game music alongside analysing them has to be my new favourite form of content, especially when reacting to From's music blind/with very few details. It's been fascinating to see how you guys all manage to come to similar conclusions from the feel of the music along with applying music theory to understand what the composers wanted to show in the themes. It's been fantastically accurate every time. I look forward to seeing other videos from you!
I'd love if you reacted to a few tracks from the Cyberpunk 2077 soundtrack, specifically Phantom Liberty, its expansion. It's not a conventionally "orchestral"-sounding OST, however the composer PT Adamcyk and others on the project did incorporate some of the elements of their previous work on The Witcher 3 into it. Distorted electric cello, chanted tribal vocals, and of course (it's Cyberpunk after all) gritty, vibrant electronics ranging from hard techno beats to industrial. Some standout tracks include: Never Looking Back Gate K9 Contra La Luna I'm a Netrunner Force Projection Test of Loyalty Been Good to Know Ya You Can't Hide From Us The Rebel Path V (the main theme of the main character) and, Atlantis Obviously I don't expect you to get into all of those in one video, but if you could react to even a few of these incredible tracks, I'd love it and appreciate it. Also, I pretty much listed them in order of "significance", with the best ones that come to mind being listed first, so take that how you will. Thanks for the great videos!
A couple of screenshots or footage for you to look at of the area or boss you listened to (either during or after) would be a cool idea to see some context or to see if it was at all how you pictured
As other recommendations for Elden Ring OSTs i would suggest 1.Promised Consort 2.Bayle the Dread 3.Midra 4.those united in common cause 5. Rellana 6. Divine Beast Dancing Lion Nice Video keep it up 👍🏻
17:51 What's happening here is a phase switch. A lot of bosses in the game have a phase 1 and phase 2. Some of them are more broken up than others, in that some bosses don't have a visual cue for the phase switch, which is a cutscene that shows the transition, and they just start doing different attacks, but some of them like Malenia and Godfrey and Malekith have an accompanying cutscene. These are the bosses where they take a new form during the fight.
You have to listen to the OST for Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, ANYONE who has played that game or heard the OST will back me up. Guillaume David is a genius! The OST he made for IXION is awesome too. Edit: Just wanted to add that Children of the Omnissiah and Noosphere in particular are exceptional
I love the final boss theme, the hype for as he turns to face you with the music is just perfect. Also, while EB was annoy to fight, I just love the creature design it’s beautiful for what it represents.
Leyndell's theme is my favorite theme in the entire game. I actually get chills everytime i pass through it and see the stillness, a rich place now shattered. We can only imagine its majesty in it prime state when the streets were full. Elden Ring is not just a game, its an emotion.
Just to throw this in there the reason there’s changes in the middle of a lot of these is due to the phase change for the boss. When you’re fighting a boss and beat its first phase they usually transform or get more powerful and that’s their 2nd phase . Sometimes there’s even 3rd and 4th phases . But the music changes with the phase . That’s the changes you hear in the middle. The 2nd phase is generally more intense music wise(and boss wise) . Wait until you hear Promised Consort from the DLC. Quite possibly one of the greatest pieces of music ever written
I 100% reccomend checking out more indie game OSTs from games like Omega Strikers and Phighting (which is on roblox somehow but it has some of the best ost songs ive ever heard no joke) To go into a little bit more detail, Omega Strikers has a ton of character themes with each theme matching a characters personality with a crazy variety (eg Juno being a funny little alien who likes ice cream and her song is very upbeat and fun) For Phighting, the game is very inspired by Splatoon with different characters and "idols" (the equivalent of Splatoons Pearl and Marina or whatever) although the majority of the themes come from the maps where the "phighting" is taking place (also there is a decent variety and i recommend songs such as: The Flipside, Sensory Overload, Title Wave, and basically any other ones becausr they are all cool)
Have you listened to NieR Automata's soundtrack? Ones that come to mind are City Ruins, Rays of Light (quiet to dynamic with vocals), followed by City Ruins, Shade. Wretched Weaponry (dynamic with vocals). Emil, Despair (dynamic with vocals). Vague Hope, Cold Rain (dynamic with vocals) followed by Vague Hope, Spring Rain (also dynamic with vocals, or can start without vocals and blend them in). Sound of the End (first dynamic with vocals, then listen to it quiet transitioning into quiet with vocals). I love Elden Ring's music, but NieR Automata's soundtrack didn't just get #1 video game album in Japan, but was (if not still is) the #1 music album in Japan, full stop.
This game changed my life. I know that sounds cheesy but it genuinely did. I've dumped nearly 900 hours into Elden Ring, I've played majority of the Fromsoft titles now and am a certifiable Fromsoft fanboy, and to top it all off: the game and its genre accelerated my interest in becoming a better writer. It all started to varying degrees with the Lands Between. It's been an interesting 2 years to say the least. Edit: Elden Ring also got me a couple of extra side hobbies like learning music theory to better understand the OSTs I listen to, that studio is simply built different.
Regal Ancestor Spirit has an attack with such beautiful sound design that I thought it was part of the theme. I could best describe it as the distorted chirp of a bird underwater and the imagery of the attack is a blue glowing reanimated deer carcass leaping across the sky licked by faint spiritual embers. Absolute cinema!
Love your reactions girl ❤️ The reason why most of the tracks have that pause in the middle before a dramatic change is because most bosses have two phases. Introductory "hey this is hard, but I can do this!" followed by "oh deAR GOD WHAT IS HAPPENING" 😂
Hi I'm new and I've put close to 300 hours in elden ring. Amazing reactions thanks YT for the recommend! The main theme is amazing as menu music but comes into light as much much much more later on. On leyndell your guesses for the feelings and emotions of what kind of place it is accurate it's a gigantic gorgeous and empty ruin of a city and that song is just ambient music while you are there.Mogh is one of the crazier boss fights in the game and you really gotta listen to boss themes after because you need to focus on the fight as with all the special boss themes. Regal ancestor spirit is a beautiful boss fight aestheticly in a beautiful arena and area that is entirely easy to miss. Malenia is a optional boss but the strongest boss in the base game by a long shot many people hearing the song are able to recall her famous line "I am malenia blade of miquella, and I have never known defeat" which she says when she kills you the player. The final battle is as I mentioned tied to the main theme because its part of the final boss fight which is by the way challenging but also beautiful and this song is the icing on a gigantic cake, the second part is for the second phase of the fight and it's utterly haunting and comes with extremely heavy implications to what is on the line and yes the scenery the boss itself it's all 10/10. I wanna see the rest of your reactions so looking forward to that!
A fun fact about Mohg's theme is that the composer has NEVER WORKED AS A COMPOSER prior to Elden Ring. He also did some other fantastic songs such as Starscourge Radahn, Divine Beast Dancing Lion, and The Promised Consort. He did work on other games as a sound designer, but it's insane that he didn't publically create music before and completely knocked it out of the park on his first try.
My only reaction to "regal ancestral spirit" theme is only when it's over and thinking "man I'll have to kill Bambi's mom again to hear that another time "
You should definitely check out the score for Medal of Honor: Frontline. A hugely underrated score by Michael Giacchino before he started doing films like Up, Star Trek, Rogue One, Dawn and War for the planet of the apes, The Batman, and a bunch of Marvel movies. Some of the best tracks on it would be Operation Market Garden, Arnhem, Manor House Rally, and especially the epic Escaping Gotha.
A lot of the area themes in the game are very ambient, and it's cool that you picked up on the empty and desolate vibes of the capitol from just the song. The whole area is basically devoid of any life other than the few remaining knights patrolling the streets. the houses are abandoned, with most of the doors sealed with wax. It's a beautiful area, but also desolate. Most of the severe changes in the boss themes are the bosses going into a phase 2 or 3, with the music changing as they go into their new phase
Oh please you have to do more parts for this, because Elden Ring's soundtrack is GOATED. I recommend you also check some soundtracks from the DLC Elden ring Shadow of the erdtree, every soundtrack from it is just pure bliss.
Would be excellent if it was paired with a video just showing the scenery / the boss to go with each piece. basically any visuals to help, this game is STUNNING ... Someone would have to edit that for you obviously i'm sure we can find someone willing, just imagne her seeing the elden beast fight with its soundtrack .. amazing
For part 2 I highly recommend these: Godskin Apostel Dragonlord Placidusax Godfrey the first Elden Lord Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon For the DLC: The Promised Consort (the best song in the game by far) Divine Beast Dancing Lion Rellana, Twin Moon Knight
I would suggest listening to God of War Ragnarok's Soundtrack next, after you finish the Elden Ring DLC Soundtrack! It was released the same year as Elden Ring and is just as impressive. It was a good year.
Personally nothing goes quite as hard as Starscourge Radhan. AKA the guy that skateboards his horse while holding back the stars and killing everyone he comes into contact with, all from the hospice where the worlds hardest and deadliest slumberparty takes place and its open invite.

Godskin Apostles. PLEASE.

The star beast has a big sword though, and it's made of the dude that had the golden hammer.

@@danielantony1882 You can make some absurdly broken builds in Elden Ring where it absolutely feels like you are on the same level as the bosses.
@@nathanpapp432 That doesn’t make it fair though, does it now? You’re pretty much cheesing the bosses.
@@danielantony1882 I didnt say anything about cheese

"What tops this?! I have peaked!" False. The DLC's osts tops this, and only after you hear some of the main bosses themes from the DLC will you truly know the peak of Elden Ring ost's. Examples: Lion Dancers theme, Messmer's theme, Romina's theme, Midra's theme, Bayles theme, and Promised Consorts theme. Only after hearing these will you have reached the peak of Elden Rings ost.
You forgot about the best one.. Rellana!
Hard disagree, only the final boss OST once again could come close to the peak of The Final Battle
Meh, Godskin Duo, Elden Beast and Malenia theme still clear by a mile imo
('Leyndell' does as well, if not quite to the same stunning degree.)
I'm not sure if it's one you've played before, but if not, I _cannot_ recommend its OST *_highly_*_ enough._ There's a couple of tracks on the OST that tell a story using those same blends of instruments, a tale of the ancient peoples whose ruins you spend the game traversing through to reach the distant peak -- the music, along with every other aspect of the game, is centered on that journey... hence the title, y'see.
The final three tracks i described i would sooner recommend to play the game for yourself to experience... but if you want to experience some other tracks first, have these:
- Gemini's Palace
- The Town
- Wandering Players
- Titans
- Lonely Coast
- Unstoppable
- Hope
- Moon-Sun
Would love to hear your thoughts on some of them.
Dang, no Godskin Apostles? Part 2 is absolutely mandatory imo
Yea, nobody mentioning this banger. Absolute best track in the game in my opinion.
@@_syedmx86yeah it is the best by far
In the Final Battle track, you can hear hammer strikes occasionally in the first half of the song. It’s the final boss trying to reforge the Elden Ring, and I find it super cool that they worked that so subtly into the track!
Arise now! Ye Tarnished! Ye dead, who let live!
First time I heard that, meh. After finishing the game, chills.
Hoarah Loux, Chieftain of The Badlands.
THE LOATHSOME DUNG EATER
The Ever-Brilliant Goldmask!
And sir Gideon Ofnir, the ALL KNOWING
i didnt realize the elden beast theme was included in the final battle, im so glad cuz its one of my favorite pieces in the game
"on what planet is that a title theme?" Just wait till you hear the Dark Souls 3 title theme
Still my favorite title theme in any game
agreed, Elden ring may be good, but Dark Souls 3 is on another level across the board
THIS RIGHT HERE 🤘🤘
That’s because DS3’s title theme was originally the final boss theme, and ER’s final boss theme is a remix of the title theme.
I prefer ER but still love DS3 Soul of Cinder
It still erks me that God of War Ragnarok beat both Elden Ring and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the best music award back in 2022.
Those two OSTs are some of the best of all time and yet God of War won 🤦
“It feels really empty” is maybe the best way to put the music for Leyndell. The city is a thin layer of gold over a sea of suffering
IKR, I was watching the reaction, but seeing the Waterfowl dance slashing into my face instead...
And those six words we heard over and over:
I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella
If you were blown away by Elden Ring Main Menu theme, then you are not prepared for Dark Souls 3 menu theme.
Another recommended tracks from that game would be:
“Vordt of the Boreal Valley”
“Abyss Watchers”
“Twin Princess, Lorian and Lothric”
“Deacons of the Deep”
“Epilogue”
Recommended DLC Tracks:
“Sister Friede”
“Champions Gravetander”
“Halflight, Spear of Church”
“Slave Knight Gael”
Also midir and soul of cinder
How could you skip Soul most importantly and Yhorm the Giant very importantly
@@jaredmartinez283 And the other one. Soul of Cinder is peak, but she needs to hear Gwyn theme first to get the full experience, that’s why I didn’t recommended.
@BaldinBlack I wouldn't even say that. She needs to play it, so she hears it and understands its significance in Soul of Cinder
Don’t you dare ignore Champion’s Gravetender ost! The boss might be forgettable but the song is actually good!

Yeah that menu music is awesome… but wait! There’s more: Dark Souls 3 menu music. That’s #1 of any videogame intro music.
100% true
I don't know if you can survive the dlc tracks, they're on a whole other level, especially ones like the dancing lion, midra, messmer, those united in common cause and especially promised consort.
Also dark souls 3 and bloorborne ost are just gorgeous.
Awesome you asked “is that capitol city a wasteland” because , it kind of is yes if you know the lore . That Leyndell music is so hauntingly beautiful. I get so lost in it everytime I’m in that area or Altus plateu which sits around it . So beautiful
This game, leyndell in particular, has meant a lot to me and I got a little choked up when you said "it feels empty" during its theme. So accurate.
It is always heartwarming to see how excited you get on these reaction vids. It's clear how passionate you are about both music and games, and it comes through in your content.
Also, Elden Ring's OST is basically "oops, all bangers."
There has to be a part 2! For me personally, nothing will beat the theme of Fortissax, maybe only the Godskin theme is more epic
Also, maybe good to note that many of the tracks have these little pauses in the middle, because the second part of the song is what is playing when the associated boss is in its second phase and basically goes nuts on you ^^
I am so ready to see the reaction to the promised consort
"I doubt you could even imagine it... that which commanded the stars, giving life its fullest brilliance. The Elden Ring - ohhh, Elden Ring! Shattered... by someone, or something. Don't tell me you can't see it. Look up at the sky. It burns!"
In case you are wondering, yes, that may or may not be a harpsichord in Mohg's theme.
“What tops this?”
Me- The Elden Ring DLC soundtracks waiting for you to react to them. 😄
Part 2 please😭🙏 With Godskin Apostle ost, and Bayle the Dread included
Some other amazing tracks (from basegame and the dlc) I would recommend for a possible part 2 to this would be:
Lichdragon Fortissax
Dragonlord Placidusax
Bayle the Dread
Divine Beast Dancing Lion
Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame
Starscourge Radahn
The Promised Consort
Scadutree Avatar
Metyr, Mother of Fingers (this one is cool because the phase 2 prominently uses the real world sound of a black hole)
17:51 You will witness a true horror
4:04 God they did such a good job matching the tones with the settings in these
Opening elden ring and hearing that title music for the first time... wish i could erase my memory and play the game for the first time again
I can’t wait for a part 2 so she can hear some of the dlc’s music as well
the stop half way in boss fight OST is the change of phase of the boss, when u go in phase 2 it change the music

Some standout tracks include:
Never Looking Back
Gate K9
Contra La Luna
I'm a Netrunner
Force Projection
Test of Loyalty
Been Good to Know Ya
You Can't Hide From Us
The Rebel Path
V (the main theme of the main character)
and,
Atlantis
Obviously I don't expect you to get into all of those in one video, but if you could react to even a few of these incredible tracks, I'd love it and appreciate it.
As other recommendations for Elden Ring OSTs i would suggest
1.Promised Consort
2.Bayle the Dread
3.Midra
4.those united in common cause
5. Rellana
6. Divine Beast Dancing Lion
Nice Video keep it up 👍🏻
17:51 What's happening here is a phase switch.
REAL
I love the final boss theme, the hype for as he turns to face you with the music is just perfect. Also, while EB was annoy to fight, I just love the creature design it’s beautiful for what it represents.
“I’ll be here suffering..and enjoying it” cracks me up because that has been my entire experience with fromsoft games these past few years🤣
Leyndell's theme is my favorite theme in the entire game.
"There must be some serious cinematic in this battle"
Yes, it was, indeed, absolute cinema, pure cinematic.
I 100% reccomend checking out more indie game OSTs from games like Omega Strikers and Phighting (which is on roblox somehow but it has some of the best ost songs ive ever heard no joke)
To go into a little bit more detail, Omega Strikers has a ton of character themes with each theme matching a characters personality with a crazy variety (eg Juno being a funny little alien who likes ice cream and her song is very upbeat and fun)
For Phighting, the game is very inspired by Splatoon with different characters and "idols" (the equivalent of Splatoons Pearl and Marina or whatever) although the majority of the themes come from the maps where the "phighting" is taking place (also there is a decent variety and i recommend songs such as: The Flipside, Sensory Overload, Title Wave, and basically any other ones becausr they are all cool)
Yeah, they will do that to you^^. These are some damn special games, real incredible works of Art with almost no peers.
1:43 in all fairness it's also the final bosses theme
"The game is throwing me into the deep end" correct. Welcome to fromsoft
There’s something about Leyndell that makes it a fave among a soundtrack with so many other bangers.
If part 2 contains LICHDRAGON FORTISSAX, blast the volume to MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE for best experience!
Subscribed! I hope you do a Part 2! It was so interesting hearing your reactions and emotions to the different songs! I hope to see more!
I've always liked the idea that the title themes are supposed to be the boss music for the main character.
Still the original dark souls has my favorite music of any soulslike game. Especially "the nameless song" and "gwyn, lord of cinder"
It really pales in comparison to Elden Ring OST.
Emily! I need to hear your thoughts on the Warhammer 40k Mechanicus Soundtrack!
Would be excellent if it was paired with a video just showing the scenery / the boss to go with each piece. basically any visuals to help, this game is STUNNING ...
Someone would have to edit that for you obviously i'm sure we can find someone willing, just imagne her seeing the elden beast fight with its soundtrack .. amazing

You are now obligated to make a second review of either more of the music or the music of the dlc, preferably both
For part 2 I highly recommend these:
Godskin Apostel
Dragonlord Placidusax
Godfrey the first Elden Lord
Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon

The Promised Consort (the best song in the game by far)
Divine Beast Dancing Lion
Rellana, Twin Moon Knight
I really liked that you read about Malenia's lore while listening to her OST. I would love it if you also did that for the videos on part 2
I would suggest listening to God of War Ragnarok's Soundtrack next, after you finish the Elden Ring DLC Soundtrack! It was released the same year as Elden Ring and is just as impressive. It was a good year.
