I appreciate the ministry of Tim Ross. Every time I hear him speak I’m in absolute awe of his wisdom and intellect. It’s so easy to take 90 second clips out of context and in doing so we become so self righteous. But I dare anyone to truly listen to this man and not see his heart and passion for God! God bless the both of you.

To say you have never had conviction for using profanity is kind of wild to me, we have grace and it's understandable that sometimes words may slip and if they do it's not the end of the world. But certain words like the "s, f & b" word carry a certain conviction and emotion by nature that emphasizes pride, wrath, contention, anger, rebellion. All the works of the flesh the bible tells us to abstain from, so you get comfortable enough using those words as regular language eventually it's going to trigger some sort of fleshly reaction when put in a circumstance that requires discipline. I used to curse a lot and I tried to make wiggle room for it but that's what I have come to learn, a lil bit of leaven leavens the whole lump

Out of everything he said, that's what you wanted to comment on? That's wild. Let that man's God be the judge and instead focus on the work being done to advance the kingdom.

@Rflower1 what's the scripture regarding the specific words he used? In the Bible "cursing" is referenced but cursing in the biblical context isn't the same as our modern day words. If anyone should acknowledge scripture it should be you and the OP where Jesus warned not to have the leaven of the pharisees.

A father's love transforms the way we see our GOD as Father. THAT always hits my soul. Great interview!

Everyone’s convictions are different and we have to respect that. The pharisees that crucified Jesus felt convicted that he wasn’t the Messiah and we see how that worked out . I wonder what folks would say if they actually studied the context of the Bible or just spoke to a Rabbi and learned what words and terminology would have been considered vulgar, foul language during that time? Could it be that gossip, lies, slander, blasphemy and actually cursing people is what the scriptures refer to? How any times do we curse people when we insult them to their face or to someone else? Just because we may not use modern day cuss words doesn’t mean that we have not cursed people and used vulgar language.

I truly admire Tim Ross, his love and devotion to God, his honesty and ability to take God's Word and minister to the world. Aaaand, I want to make this perfectly clear, Jesus is not a "stripper". Jesus was stripped. They cast lots for his clothing. To spin it as an intentional act He committed is a fallacy. The unadulterated and violent cruelty and insanity that took place on that hill is not a light thing.
"Stripper" was used in the wrong context. Please stop trying to explain it away Tim, or make others seem uptight. Calling Jesus a stripper denotes Him stripping His own clothes off. He did not, in any way, shape or form do that.
    I love you Tim Ross.

For anyone talking his convictions on cursing... your convictions are different. However, it may not apply to his relationship with God. Biblically, profanity is never spoken about in the Bible. The context behind cursing biblically is speaking ill or death upon someone else. God may require your vocabulary to be more articulate where God needs him to be authentically him in order to reach those that he is assigned to. God may call a previously promiscuous person to completely cover up or change his they conduct themselves. A person who was always modest... God may not require the same of them. The moral of the story is to focus on your own convictions. They are the only ones that affect your soul salvation. Tim Ross is that guy... God's homie!

Freakin aha moment! Peter “unlearned fisherman” (but clearly has spent time with Jesus) has been commissioned to stay in Jerusalem where the “theologians” are occupied. On the other hand, Paul, learned and refined, was sent to the gentiles who could care less. WOW! That’s God’s Kingdom displayed right there. It don’t make sense, but man, His math be mathing 😃

I like Tim Ross's ministry. I think he gets it right in The Lord. However cussin is cussin! We can't pull the "Jesus knows who I am" card when we're disobedient in any manner, because we're dead to ourselves prior to Salvation. We have to reread James 1:26 and James 2:10-13 and go to The Lord's table for His help.
