  • The River Severn flows through a wide and colourful valley between the towns of Bridgenorth and Bewdely, the valley is a natural passage way north to south that has been used for hundreds of years. Today the Severn Way a long distance path and the Severn Valley Rialway follow the river between these two towns. Clive walks the pathway enjoying the rich autumn colours contrasted by the steady dark river.

Good to see you on the Severn Way, Clive. I've been walking it north from Bristol but I'm only travelling as far as Tewkesbury. I think I've followed it through Ironbridge, briefly and that was a decent stretch, according to my memory. I hope to one day get up to the Cambrian Mountains and discover its source.

HI Olly, following the Severn Way to its source from Llanidloes could be a great walk, it would be a good excuse for an overnight wild camp.
