Quiter!! Why don't you play cod?
@@isaactorres422 squad and cod are completely different squad is all about teamwork and communication while cod is sliding through doors and using a whole mag to kill somebody as apposed to 2 or 3 bullets in squad

It's an amazing game

For the record- in real Basic Training, they DO actually fire live rounds in your direction- but they’re about 3 stories up, aiming at a target on the opposite side of the field you have to crawl through- and the target is like 5-6 stories up, so there’s almost no chance you’ll get shot
Haven't done that in decades from what I've heard. Not in the US anyway. They fire blanks if they even still do this type of "live fire exercise"
@@Titleist710MB I went to fort Benning in 2019 and it was very real you could see the tracers, but that was actual infantry training they probably do fire blanks at pogs
Don't know what year that is, but they shot blanks now my friend

@@imxcel5432 that's what I was thinking. My worker told me the same thing. He's retired, former specialist and motor pool grease monkey
2018 grad at FLW. Still do live fire.
I had a bunch of moments like this playing Hell Let Loose with headset, everything becomes a confusing quagmire of explosions and bullets and people trying to organize a defense/offense it feels really epic I just wish ppl were more organized on it so I didn't have to run from one side of the map to wherever the Frontline currently is
Sounds like a simulation of what it’s like to fight a war with untrained and inexperienced cannon fod-I mean recruits.

This is actually a real thing they do in basic training in the Army. Except they do it at night. They call it NIC at Night. The night infiltration course. It’s super sketchy feeing lol
It's pretty tame compared to this though. Just 2 guns shooting like every 5 seconds 30 feet over your head. Worst part was the gravel and mud for me😂
Thanks for informing the little kids
@@johnhyland3675 typically it is up to the training company on the amount of M249 used. But yes I do agree that the mud and gravel destroy your knees but don’t forget about the poor trainee that gets caught in the C-wire
It's fun as hell you basically crawl across a sand field with several light machine guns shooting over you with tracer rounds so if you look up it's a light show, they also have simulated indirect fire (Artillery)
Did I ask?
For those who don’t know, the game is called Squad. This is the training at the beginning to learn the controls. It’s kind of like battlefield but 10x more realistic and on a much larger map. I highly recommend it.
If the game is polished and finished upon release then it's nothing like battlefield my guy
How active is the community? Was looking at the game on steam today
@@HauntingSpectre there are always tons of full servers. It’s definitely not a small game if that answers your question.
@@rileyf8036 My buddy has been bugging me to get it. Bugged me into getting Post scriptum too and the servers are basically always empty.
I also wasnt super keen on the milsim bit, since Im ex army and the Milsim guys Ive gamed with have been cringe armchair spergs.
(Know its not the whole community but left a bad taste)
@@HauntingSpectre Yeah it’s much larger than post scriptum, it won’t be a problem. There are probably about 30 servers with 100/100 players and good ping for me and any given time.
As for the types of people, it depends on the squad leader/server. There are some games with a team that doesn’t know what they are doing or a few annoying people, but most people are really cool and there are a lot of military guys. There are serious servers, very casual servers, and most are somewhere in the middle.
Ngl, that training part of the game was intense…. Especially when you didn’t expect it to be so violent.
Squad is a great game.

I remember when they did this to us in basic training. Instead it was a simulation of storming the beach on DDay and they were shooting like 30 feet above us and not right over our heads.

Original vid? I wanna see it
My dude went from doctor disrespect to doctor ptsd
My dad and grandfather told me about this during their time in the Belgian army. It's called a "vuurdoop," which means "fire baptism." It's a tradition to execute this training exercise in the last phases of training or before deployment so the soldiers don't become alienated of how close fire contact actually feels. I remember my dad saying "it's crazy when you realize that right above your head, stuff is flying around that could kill a man."
Doc is amazing he really puts his heart into his content and for his community.

The first time I seen this my lips literally turned blue from laughing that hard. He is top streamer. No question
The army actually used to do that with real bullets but now they use blanks. A guy that my dad was training with got shot in the head and died from that drill.
