Finally all rach concertos are on UA-cam, together they form one of the greatest achievements in music, most importantly one of the most entertaining as well, I’m glad to be able to visualize all these pieces
His first ever piece was a romance for violin and piano, this was actually written about 3 years after, and it was his first published piece. The version we know like what we see here is actually totally revised from the original, and it was one of his very last ever works
@@donnytello1544 Rachmaninoff died in 1943, and this version of the concerto was published in 1917. Which "one of his very last ever works" are you talking about?
yes, especially the 1st mvt -the beginning is similar, then it gets quiet, piano comes in, then some other similar-to-the-main-theme melodies, cadenza and beautiful ending.
Too underrated unfortunately, It is so beautiful. This whole concerto and concerto No.4 are in the shadow of the second and thrid concerto, but I don't think they're less good than 2nd and 3rd, on other hand I think they are the same way brilliant as his second and third concert ! Fully emotional pieces, his concertos made this world to me a better place ! ❤
Hello, I really enjoyed this video, thank you for this work! However, would it be possible to have the link to the download of the MIDI file? I really need it and would be very happy to use it! Thanks

On wich Website do you edit your videos ??
That cadenza is absolutely heartbreakingly gorgeous
Everything about his concertos is heartbreakingly gorgeous 🥹❤️
9:10 cadenza
20:05 is so good! Especially later when the violinist join! Genius!
It reminds something of villa lobos. Your colleague, YukiEhms, would not like it, however.
My colleague?😅
Most underrated piano concerto ever. I've always liked it because it shows the energy of the teenage Rachmaninoff's styles. Thank you very much!
No. There are a lot of piano concertos more underrated than this one. But it’s still underrated.
Intressting, like which ones?
@@kofiLjunggren medtner ?
@@Dylonely42 Yeah now I think Rach 4 or Franck 1 is more underrated; thanks for pointing it out :)
@@kofiLjunggren Atterberg piano concerto is terribly underated.
Man 17:00 is so beautiful
That’s my favorite part it feels like you’re flying just above the clouds, Leif ove andsnes has a great recording of it
I was literally working on this concerto, you're too quick!
Anyway, great job as always.
Oh that’s a pity
I suggest you do the prelude by Chopin, the one in D minor, everyone likes it, yet no synthesia does it
That's alright we can never have too many of them ;) Which recording were you planning on doing?
@@ky53261 I started working on the Shelley/Thomson recording. I guess I'll publish it anyway, eventually...
Synthesis channels should have a way to communicate video progress so this happens less often
The absolute genius is that this was his op. 1.... His first piece... Dude...
Absolutely astonishing. Great job :3
No... 🤦 He made other pieces not published before.

21:02 best moment
What a magnificent melody…
@@Dylonely42 Sounds like The Godfather 2 theme
It has a structure similar to that of Grieg's Piano Concerto.
Because the Grieg concerto was Rachs favourite
Yeah, the beggining is so simillar

Second movement is mind-blowing
Yes, absolutely enchanting!

@@hotterparryI agree 1 and 4 are both incredible but I mean cmon 3 is probably the best concerto ever written
Why do you always have to do my favorite pieces :D
YES, finally a good snthesia vid of this underrated concerto!
Was waitin for it!
Thank you so much, I really like your videos and I was looking too for this piece of music :)
You are everywhere
You are everywhere
You are everywhere
Finally, thanks a lot!
YES! You are my favorite UA-camr
17:01 the most beautiful part of any Rachmaninoff piano concert
but I personally don't like that staccato
Ever since I found your channel I was waiting for this as I had just started learning Rach. The wait is over and my life is complete
YESSSSS, finally the set is complete, thank you for uploading this one! I'm guessing you made the midi yourself?
I love that orchestra moment❤ 20:40
Thank you so muchhh!!!
YEASSSSSAS!!!! FINALY MAN!! 👏👏
Let's go!!!
10:48 is wrong! Right hand should be playing D instead of B.
Indeed
YOU ARE THE BEST! THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HARD WORK ❤️
You made my day ! Thank you so much.

Thanks for your work
great performance!!
Beautiful! I love beginning) 💗
Oml thank you so much
Good job, sir. Love your channel
How do you sync the midi file with the audio so well? What do you use?
could you do rach's second symphony next?
Will this one also be uploaded in 4k?
it was just slow to update on my side :)
would you like to do symphony no 1 by scriabin?
Great
So he actually remastered this version /after/ completing his second and third. The original version is apparently a bit clunkier.

PLEEEEEEEZZZZZ do pines of rome.......
Could you do the Shostakovich cello Concertos?
Yes !
Any chance you upload just the piano part, just the blue notes
So, is there gonna be a link to download the MIDI files?
Hi, again a fantastic work. Could you upload the second movement without orcheast? I would like to learn it, but I can’t read sheet. Thanks a lot
you cant read sheet? This concerto is not something you should learn yet 😅
This is not for you if you can’t read sheet…
