This helmet for that price us absolutely amazing. Kyt is coming with a kx and that one for the money is just mindblowing. Kyt is a brand that will be very very big coming years
For the price, you won't be disappointed. It's a stellar race lid and looks great in my opinion. No helmet is going to be bad that's 22.06 and FIM homologated. If it's good enough for the peeps in Moto3/MotoAmerica then it's good enough for my head.
As a track helmet you won't have any regrets at this price, sure there are nicer helmets out there. But when it comes down to the nitty-gritty and the safety of the helmet, I'd rate it high up on the list.
Hi, you can replace the Pinlock pins with Pinlock-Tearoff pins from the original visor, they are fixed just by friction-pressure, just press them outward and they'll come out
Finally someone speaking in English lol. Thank you for mentioning that the visor may be the same as Suomy. They are very hard to find, so that may help me.
After riding with the helmet for a few weeks, the wind noise is tolerable, but don't expect it to be quiet. It's a race lid, with that being said however, I didn't have any problems.
@@garretts5554 Hard to say, I have a pretty large noggin and went for an M to let it break-in a little. I feel like it was more snug in the cheek area compared to the X-Lite. I'd say go for the same size you're used to, in the end the helmet only comes in 3 shell sizes so worst case you can always buy thinner or larger cheek pads.
Hi there, so I went from the X-Lite to the KYT because I didn't have enough vertical field of vision in a tuck. The KYT definitely has a larger eye port and sits higher up on the head, for this reason alone I'd go for the KYT. Since I made the video I was actually involved in a crash, the KYT held up really well - the visor stayed shut and I didn't suffer any injuries to the head.
got one yesterday. weight is good as its lighter than the Rpha 11. noise is bad. you can hear almost everything outside the helmet. Vents are are good as the ariflow can be felt inside. build quality is the deal breaker here. The vents built feels cheap. the forehead vent open and close is a hit or miss. the visor drop down is bad. needs to push it down from the top of the visor itself to lock it in place instead of using the little handle to shut it. hurts the ear like hell. I double checked my size and I'm sure that Large is the right one for me since XL makes a lot of movement when I move my head as well. Conclusion: a good helmet but kinda expensive for its quality. just my two cents. lol
In my opinion the build quality of cosmetic attachments doesn't bother me that much. Yes the vents are not great, but considering it's an FIM and 22.06 rated helmet for 300 Euros, I would say it's significantly cheaper than comparative race helmets with the same ratings. It's not quiet, but it's a race lid so you'll likely be using ear plugs anyway. I had a crash with the helmet back in April and suffered some serious injuries, however I suffered no head injuries and the visor stayed on the helmet even after impacting a guard rail. I think you pay for the utility of the helmet, and if you're looking for a poser lid then sure, you're gonna have to shell out more. A lot of riders in Moto America are wearing this helmet and that was a major deciding factor for me. Thanks for your input and watching!

Great review! Was very curious about this helmet as my first track-oriented helmet for this upcoming season. Looks to be a great option.

How is listening to music with this helmet? Does the outside noise over power the music?

Is it oval or round fit?
Oval
Would you say the NZ Race runs small or big?

Do you get a tinted visor as standard
My helmet did not come with a tinted visor in the box. I bought this extra.
Thanks for the vid! I keep going back & forth between these two. Now that you’ve had more time which do you prefer and why?

@@AnfecsIan ahh man, glad you’re safe & the helmet did it’s job. Thanks for the response.
nice
Suomy and KYT are the same company.
Same company but there are some small differences - I would still suggest checking whether or not the parts are interchangeable.
Thanks for watching!
