    Nice video. I fixed my tcs and abs error issue by replacing all the TPS sensors. Havent had tcs or abs warning lights come on since these have been replaced

    I’ve been dealing with this problem for about six months. I sent the unit out for repair and it’s still doing it. The last thing I need to do is check the grounds and watch this video.

    Great video. Glad the fix was just a fluid flush.

      As am I! These things can be nightmares to troubleshoot

      With The scan tool Is it self explanatory as far as the walk-through on how to do the flush ? Thanks for the informative video. 👍🏻

      Pretty much, you just select the manufacturer, select the vehicle system you want to test, then let's you play with running the ABS pump and all the individual inlet/outlet valves

    Hey man. Love the video. I have the same exact problem on my 03 but with my rear wheel locking as the code pops up. Im interested in doing what you explained here but am looking for an update to know that this actually fixed the issue long term/permanent. Would much appreciate any feedback.

      Thanks!
      So far, so good! It had been running great, no more error codes or brake problems

    Rotor is not warped. It is either rotor thickness variation or you needed to bed the pads in. The brake material is not coated even on the rotor. Rotors don’t warp.

      Well, this is at least the second set of pads on these rotors, with the current set having about 15k miles on them before the vibration started. Whether it's true metal thickness variation, irregular heat treatment, or the more likely irregular deposition of pad material, there was enough of a change in rotating thickness to induce vibration. For simplicity, most humans call that "warping"

    I have a 2001 C5, what sizes are the C6 wheels and tires?

    • @4KMotoring
      @4KMotoring  10 місяців тому

      Rims went up one size from stock, 18" front 19" rear (rear backspacing is a bit different), tires went to a 245 wide front and 285 wide rear

    Also use better pads. EBC or Hawk. The rotors do not out gas pads as modern pads do not out gas. They will clean the pads of dust and water.

      For street use, the power stop Z28 formula is pretty good. I've run EBC in the past with good results, but would really look hard into mechanically adhered friction material if I was tracking the car more frequently.

    Did you paint the top roof/rollback black or is it a rap?

      I just wrapped it. In the event I keep the car long enough to repaint it, I'll keep it black
