@pierreallard8797 Awesome ! I have the larger “low-wind” daggerboard for use in the Competition. It’s the old dagger that also works with the Mistral Superlight. I find it essential for beating upwind. All of these classic Mistral boards are amazing rides.
Yes. It’s just about the best classic longboard for a beginner, due to its width of 70 cm. Modern boards will be easier but the Mistral Comp. can move in very light wind while others would just slog. I learned on this board and it’s still fun when the wind picks up. Make sure you get the centerboard with it… Will make learning much easier.
@@pierreallard8797 Don't be afraid to load it up in higher wind. I spent many hours learning on this board and it is very stable for a longboard. It does surprisingly well in chop, you just have to make sure you get the nose up and utilize the width of the board in the mid section.... the soft rails will help you crest waves. I have many boards now that are "better" in high wind but I keep coming back to the Comp from time to time... it never disappoints. It's like the Grandmother of Longboards !
Good morning. I picked up the same board this winter. I see you sailing and she looks great. Hello from Belgium

Hi. Is this board suitable for a beginner?
