It happens to me also. I start the game off really well. Getting buckets, getting stops, facilitating for the team. 2nd half… I get iced by the team and then we end up losing the game. Have to remember, the people main obj is to just score, not play defense, not play team ball, not to win games. They just want to score. So if they see you hooping and they are not hooping? GG 😂. Whoever has the hot hand, keep feeding him until he cools off. Why people get upset when a better player than them knows how to score? Anyways, this video is how a proper big should play in this game. Most people be making post up in the paint bigs that are too slow and non mobile so they can’t even do much. Then when you do get a mobile big like yours, they get the mistreatment thinking he’s just another post up or just can’t do anything. That’s the mindset of these randoms. They assume anyone they do not know is trash at the game and they don’t give you a chance.
I don't think spacing matters as much on Rec since you'll most likely be playing with randoms. I've been an inside big for years now and have never had an issue with spacing since I'm usually setting screens and stuff as well. I have a lot of 20+ board games as well!
Inside bigs can be lethal. The only problem is they kinda require the offence to run through them, and often times it leads to nobody else eating. Sure when it’s you it works. But it’s so incredibly detrimental when they’re a 30 win percent and they aren’t good at setting on balls/off balls, or scoring in the paint. They just take up space and make you give them the ball or nobody can attack the rack because of the poor spacing. I don’t wanna load up and be forced to give some scrub the ball damn near every possession because he made a build that can’t shoot at all. I’d rather your slasher 6’11 C than a 7’2 Paint beast but let’s be real, no bad player even has your build and if they did they’d be trash on it.
I mean i have a pure defense center with 99 paint D, 99 o board, 90 d board, 99 block, 94 strength, 85 vertical and 86 pass accuracy. Went to pro am got 35 boards and 20 assists and 0 points. Its all about how u play
Watching you use the dunk meter and make it look easy has inspired me to start using it a little more. As I have used it, in the REC at least, it easy as hell. With only an 85 driving dunk you can go crazy with the contact dunks.
The only thing that really annoys me is I can't get it consistently. Sometimes it makes my guy do a whole hesi in the paint. I feel like I'm abusing my controller when I have to move the RS so fast. Recently got stick drift and honestly think this might be part of the reason 😂
@@DonDeLem if you pn the PS5 ot will happen regardless for certain models of the controller. That said going for the meter os really tough if people are anywhere in the paint. IMO it should really only be used if someone if late helping or caping under the rim.
Not gonna lie I hate seeing videos like this because it gives ppl a feel as if they can sit paint and have terrible spacing and or come in the rec to sell out paint camping. These builds are only proper to run with organized groups. You know how many games I played and clamped some random with all inside build, these inside bigs or slashing builds do still take some IQ to be consistent at getting open and know when to take to rim without going up on 3 pure defenders clogging rim
Agreed. Inside big in random rec is ALWAYS a liability. The odds of having a squad of randos who know how to utilize screens and create oppourtunity while the opposing big just camps paint is close to 0. For the average player is just an easy low skill me-first build to get Stats generally at the cost of winning games. Last game I played last night rando inside big probably spent a total of 2 in game minutes outside of the paint calling for the ball EVERY POSSESION just to get stuffed. We lost, dude went 3/15 while the opposing center dropped 30 on him because he refused to cover the perimeter. This is 99% of inside bigs I see in rec.
Deadass how I feel. Everytime I see these no shooting youtube builds they running film with a squad of shooters. He running with only 1 other person but slashing is comically easy this year.
I have to agree with you on this one. And this is coming from someone who has one. I was running an inside build with my squad and this season they are not able to play and I have to run with randos. My win% was much lower running a inside build. I end up making a shooting center which is much better for Rec randoms. Currently just have a hard time being consistent with that shot since this is my first shooting build. Any tips anyone can give on the shooting just seems so fast when using the meter
@Jaquinton Lloyd Try using no meter, it's delayed and you get a small boost for not using it. After a few days of practice it will get easier. Find a comfortable jumper and adjust speed to your liking, I use oshea brissett/Tim Duncan release on my bigs. Get your badges right. If you primarily spot up gotta have claymore/catch and shoot. Also volume shooter, green machine, blinders, if you can afford them. Get your hot zones active. And above all else PRACTICE!

His take and your accelerator makes it a 2-3 shot take situation. It’s great. Even more fun when someone uses play take and they have extender. You’ll be in take basically the whole game
