No reason to go 6'5 on a pf instead of 6'6 on a bigger position though because 6'6 gets more attributes anyway and I don't think 6'5 can get paint patroller which is a big L sadly. 6'5s need more love from 2k
Love these as always it is there a way I can show you my 6’6 lock? It’s a defensive problem like seriously a problem but can still shoot well, dribble and also finish. I promise after you’d put it in A tier Also 6’8 would go to B for me maybe C cuz the loss of attribute sucks. Make the same build at 6’7 and 6’8 and you’ll lose so much as a PF build
This is the problem when it comes to this game , we have a too many opinions about heights and how positions should be played and we are now basing that off of what are the best heights to play with ? We have to stop with these myths of how basketball is played in a video game and how it’s actually played in real life.
The main reason I like the 6'4 locks over ones at 6'3 is it's the only height you can get all perimeter defensive badges in the game on legend with a decent wingspan. If you go 6'3, you have to go basically minimum wingspan to get the 92 agility, 92 strength combo you need for pick dodger and immovable. Plus you can't get the 99 steal. You could really go either way, 6'3s are obviously better as guards than 6'4s. But I think there's an argument to be had for 6'4s over 6'3s if the primary goal is to be a lock chasing PG's around screens.
tbh with swings being so good rn i think 6’10-6’11 r better than they r given credit for. double footers r good but being able to help more on screens is so valuable imo. I have 2 guards a 6’4 and 6’5, and I’m going to have to disagree with your list sure 6’4s get more attributes but I can shoot over people with the 6’5 and get way more dunk animations and tbh I haven’t touched the 6’4 since I made the 6’5. And to everyone that’s gonna say 6’5s are trash my player averages 25 and 10 assists in rec
I think when built correctly, 6’10 are offensive nightmare, too fast for the centers too big for the guards, it’s literally a bucket everytime against locks/gaurds
From my experience, the reason for 7' having a 'spike' of ratings compared to 6'11" or 6'10", is that those smaller bigs have acces to perimeter defense badge thresholds, making them *potentially* more well-rounded. I think it's also a reason for the dropoff of ratings once you go tall enough as a guard. You can get interior D badge thresholds. Unfortunately, the advantage of bronze Post Lockdown for a guard or bronze Challenger for a big, is really negligible, when compared to getting more rating points for scoring, ball handling, rebounding, or physicals, and potentially getting silver or gold on other related badges.
@@dp4gen I promise it’s not just a lack of ratings elsewhere. You can copy them over bar for bar having the exact same ratings identically and a 7’0 just gets significantly more attributes.
@@LakerFan i get that. what i meant to get across is: I believe 2K tries to balance the heights by looking at 'all possible' badges you can get at the height, not just the ones you have unlocked with your current allocation, and lowering the rating cap by some amount. This leads to 7 footers, who don't have access to most perimeter D badges, etc., getting a little more in the ratings cap, compared to 6'11" or 6'10". The second point I wanted to make was: For bigs just under 7 feet, 'potentially' having bronze challenger (if the user even puts points there) or whatever badge they get access to by going small, isn't really worth the ratings cap difference that you get at 7'. My bad if It wasn't clear!

6'5s are the tallest build that can get 99 3 ball but with the trex arms almost everything is shot as open vs wide open on shots that would be wide open on my 6'7 and 6'6 and they don't get mini marksman
i made a 6'7 with a 7'1 wingspan cap breaker 96 steal and got a 84 block and max plus one for gold paint patroller and I've never had more fun using a build ever in this game. I made a 6'4 and he's cool or whatnot but its not fun because even with high perimeter im still liability in the paint which is the only way 6'4 unders are balanced.
nice I just got the game and was deciding between 6'4 6'7 or 6'9 lockdown, going 6'7 for sure lol
6’10 super good for swing check out the 6’10 7’3 wing
6’4 is the greatest build I’ve made, Since my 6’2 guard.
96 Driving dunk, 92 3pt, 95 ball handle with 91 swb, and 85 Perimeter w 80 steal. Most versatile and fun build I’ve made so far.
id say 6’5 is a C or low B because 2k categorizes it as tall guard so they get more bully animations when driving, farther launch for dunks, 99 3 and a great base
for example a 6’4 and 6’5 can have similar attributes yet function completely different, my 6’5 is a 2 way with gold posterizer, 99 3, 93 strength, and moves like a small guard
My 7’1 is great now that I unlocked hotspot. A straight beast in the rec, gonna try one of these heights from the video for my guard, made your 6’10 big in 23 and it was filthy. Always pushing out great info and content thanks brudda!
I’m pretty sure 6’5 is the tallest a build can get while having 99 3pt potential so idk if it’s F imo
Tallest 99 perim and 96 3pts might be the best 2way pure sharp for rec
just because it gets 99 3 doesn’t mean anything. the attribute count is terrible and you don’t get any of the good small guard animations. just go 6’4 at that point.
6’5 the worst height fr
Thanks I was waiting for this
For stretch bigs 6'11 with kd base put 2nd tier +1 shifty shooter hof.. Goated
At pf be 6’7-6’9 at big be 7’0 or 6’9 no in betweens at guard be 5’9 or 6’2 or 6’3 at lock be 6’4 or 6’6 simple if ur iso be 6’6 or 6’8
7”0 PF is the best ever I’m telling you
Yep. Which is kind of sad cause it'll make other builds not worth it cause they don't get as many points to work with
For rec or park? Also what’s your build
Working on a 7ft build right now😊
thats true, sometimes my 7ft C gets put at PF in rec & we dominate the glass
yup, made a build where my cheapest attribute was 3 pointer. Like what?!?!? i reduced 1 free throw for 1 extra 3. thats unheard of on other builds
@@ktsm my build it’s good for both I’m glad @LakerFan said you can be a post scorer at any given time which i already came to known starting off
6"8 is way worse than 6"6 since those 2 inches are not worth to loose that much in attributes and for guarding bigs its iffy...depends on the big..if the big is 6"9 you could defend it well enough
I think 7’1 S tier. I went up against 7 footers all night in the rec and the size combined with 95 strength allowed me to dominate in rebounds & in the post. You also get that extra inch of wingspan for some reason
It’s not your height it’s the ass paint defense on the game
6’4 B tier 😂, 6,6 B tier over 6’7 ? . You get wayyyyyy more attributes at 6’6
I agree but you watching someone with perspective of comp player who favors inside & defense
6’6 is good for nothing but being a lock. Can’t move as a guard, can’t be versatile to defend bigs.
@@LakerFan6’6 is like the max height to be an efficient pnr 2bh, u can still get legend shooting badges with 99 mid and u can get 86 swb. B tier is kinda low

@@kjkent.3738there’s a reason you see almost no one running the PG or SG using a 6’6. they don’t dribble that well even with 86 swb. you’re relying on push crosses and go to shots a good lock is boxing that everytime, they’re too slow.
6’4 and 6’6 should def be higher then that
Most underrated builds they don't know
@@DrDizfuntion i have a 6’6 pg and it’s fine but what i’ve seen from 6’4 it’s definitely up there and still help A LOt all round
Don’t you play with Joey on a 7’1? That silver limitless tier 2 and legend spot up tier 1 is so good. Soooooo good. But only for stretch and post fade scorers
Appreciate the video. Gonna keep this in mind when i make another build
I think 6'8 and 6'9 should switch places. I can't build an efficient 6'8 to save my life lmao unless it's an inside compared to 6'7 and 6'9. 6'4 at Highest should be A tier since it's a VERY niche height for meta locks to get a better jumper and animations. Could do the same with 6'3 honestly. Laker might be sleeping on the 6'6 cause it should be A tier for sure based on versatility. Being able to get 83 3pt, play defense, can rebound, enough for efficient finishing (even at minimum attributes) and dribble some at max wingspan is Crazy!
When I seen 6’7 in S-Tier, I knew this list was legit. Center on 2s-3s. I play the PF, SF, and switchable on ball handler. 79 3pt, 62% shooter(could be better, first year on 2k.) waiting to get my +1 for 80 3ball just to help with my green window!
@@tylersmith6061 you know ball
Switch 6’4 & 5’9 in my experience. Either way 6’4 is def Atleast an A.
You don’t get more caps at 6’2 than you do at 6’0. My pg attribute wise is way more balanced at 6’0 than 6’2
My 2 favorites 6’4 and 6’11 and the 6’11 is a fun/ Giannis type we’re you fast and big enough in almost any situation
7'1 works fine in pro am 3v3...I'm switching on pnr n getting isod by 6'6 6'7s n holding my own...it's all about communicating , not being scared and and being sound defensively
Exactly! I love being a 7 1 center
My 7ft does pretty well on the 3s especially when you implement 2 way tenacity
what's "2 way tenacity" ?
I make a 7 footer every year and this year has been sooooo fun, and i thought last year was great, but this year is insanely fun.
About time I need this
6”9 2 way 3 level is straight buckets and defense. My mistake was filling out all my stats and not understanding cap breakers. His 84 three would have been op at 88 and close to 78 dribble
what else in the cap breakers do I need to know i'm tryin to come off my 99 610 too slow an the dribble an shot selection is not so hot
6’4 has to be S tier
Exactly bro he’s fucking crazy I’m like 300-22 on ones in proving grounds and in stave I’m like 156-6 in ante up / park bro it’s really easy to be a bucket
fuck no, just behind 6'9 at max cuz 6'4 builds really sucks
I'd honestly say a tier really...178 is good for speed with ball 91 terrible strength tho...the other version with 86swb is still good lot of routes to go with for the build but it's hard to make main guard unless utilized in max capacity
@@bazz2k_755 literally every meta lockdown is 6,4 what are you on
@@aidiomio7671 yeah this is point the only thing you would choose 6'4 over every other height to do is defense other than that 6'4 gets outperformed in every other way by every other height in the game. 6'4 offensive attributes are just so ass lmao
6’6 is actually one of the better in the game in my opinion. Can get good animations, enough attribute points and badges like paint patroller/silver rebound chased
In 5's i have a 7'0" C with gold paint protector and i can't stop 7'3" centers in the paint at all. Even if they only have a 84 close shot and I'm in good position, I still can't contest it. 7'3" has some drawbacks, but it's unstoppable in 5's.

You can make a 6‘5 PF with 86 swb, gold lightning launch and it gets an insane amount of extra attribute points for being that small. Like 2 full categories
No reason to go 6'5 on a pf instead of 6'6 on a bigger position though because 6'6 gets more attributes anyway and I don't think 6'5 can get paint patroller which is a big L sadly. 6'5s need more love from 2k
Laker, love this video.
Love these as always it is there a way I can show you my 6’6 lock? It’s a defensive problem like seriously a problem but can still shoot well, dribble and also finish. I promise after you’d put it in A tier
Also 6’8 would go to B for me maybe C cuz the loss of attribute sucks.
Great vid extremely informative 👍🙏
tbh with swings being so good rn i think 6’10-6’11 r better than they r given credit for. double footers r good but being able to help more on screens is so valuable imo. I say that as a 6’10 pf tho so i may be bias but the stops i get against bigs compared to my 6’8 is crazy and gold vs hof interceptor doesn’t feel like a wash
you want to be switcheable on screens? go 6,7. you want a big man go 7,0
@@aidiomio7671 dont do the 610 imo its ass in rec or 3s
@@aidiomio7671 nah i’ve played 6’10 at lock even, it’s switchable enough while not getting standing dunked every play. 7ft can’t switch enough for triangle rotations without being cooked by ball handlers imo. I have a 6’8 and algo effects steals too much and if u reach then u have no chance to be in position most of the time to not get dunked
If you average 25 and 10 imagine what you’d average with a good build
I think when built correctly, 6’10 are offensive nightmare, too fast for the centers too big for the guards, it’s literally a bucket everytime against locks/gaurds
Is my 6’10 slashing stretch a w lol
Yes, make builds that fit your playstyle and YOU have fun with.
Metas are killing every single game nowadays.
What’s best height for 2s big man? Playing with a 6’3 guard
Facts! My 7 footer can't guard shit on the perimeter!! 😭😭😭
@@dp4gen I promise it’s not just a lack of ratings elsewhere. You can copy them over bar for bar having the exact same ratings identically and a 7’0 just gets significantly more attributes.
@@LakerFanfacts 7foot is where it's at
@LakerFan yes because 6"11 and 6"10s unlock, shifty shooter, challenger etc exactly why 7ft gets more stats
@@LakerFan i get that. what i meant to get across is:
I believe 2K tries to balance the heights by looking at 'all possible' badges you can get at the height, not just the ones you have unlocked with your current allocation, and lowering the rating cap by some amount.
