The first (and last) parts are a goodbye to Joey. Its his very first original mask. The song is a grower! Saw them headlining at Download (UK) in June, they were ace. 100k people in a field....
If I might recommend reactions: Early stuff Live in London 2002 Disasterpiece, People = Shit, Heretic Anthem Videos Left Behind, Snuff (lyrics dark, song beautiful!) Live at Download 2009 Spit it Out (probs one of the most iconic reacted to videos on YT!), SIC, Eyeless Mid Period (slightly more commercial) Devil In I, Psychosocial, Duality, Before I Forget, Sulphur Recent: Unsainted, Nero Forte, Solway Firth, Yen, Chapeltown Rag They came back to real form with 2019s 'We Are Not Your Kind', which was heavy as compared to albums 3-5 I like the new album (2023s The End So Far), its a mix of their fine musicianship, Coreys amazing vocals, and heavy/manic mixed with disturbing clean vocals at time They might be slightly less angry with the world than 1999-2009, but they are still fast and furious, songs more about jilted relationships, drug and alcohol abuse, depression nowadays rather than wanting to kill everybody or manic isolation/bullying issues.
People wanting 50 year olds to sound like they did in their 20's are nuts. If every album was Iowa 2.0 they'd be screaming it was stale. Reminds me of The Beatles (NOT a direct comparison) who sounded completely different a few years after the Ed Sullivan appearance (Hard Days Night and say, Helter Skelter) and were all the better for it.
I personally think Corey Taylor’s sound is as good as it ever was. Strong vocalist. Some of the composition wasn’t immediately irresistible at first listen. I think Nero and UnSainted was some of their best work.
I love how completely honest you are sir! Same feelings towards the song. Good reaction fellas

listen to yen it's awesome and the best one
React some old stuff I feel like their newer sound is very repetitive and corny in my opinion.
