Indonesia had a GDP per capita of $500 after the 1998 financial crisis and even looking before the crash happened, Indonesia's per capita was only $1000. Now its GDP per capita is already $4000 and in cities like Jakarta, people there have a per capita of $17 000

Ethiopia wasn't colonized by any European or any other country. And was one of the two(Ethiopia and liberia) countries that wasn't colonized in africa. Ethiopia was at war with the Italian army for five years, the weren't colonized. So you need to research properly. 😠😡😡😠

First of all read history. We were never colonized. There are two countries in Africa that were never colonized, which are Ethiopia and Liberia. Unfortunately the people of Liberia were enslaved and moved to Liberia from U.S. but Ethiopians nor Ethiopia are free people and country. Italy invaded Ethiopia twice on the second time they were able to occupy the majority part of Ethiopia while the Ethiopian people not just the soldiers but the farmers, the women, and others who cared about their country was fighting the Italian troops. Finally after many people and soldiers died from both sides. Ethiopia was able to get rid of Fascist Italy out of her country. Ethiopia did not meet the requirements that enable a country to be colonized. Therefore, you should apologize for giving the wrong information and post the correct one.
Secondly, it does have natural resources. For example, it has 300,000 tons of salt per annum and 1 Million per annum potash. Also, copper, petroleum, gold, natural gas etc.
Like I said before don't just post about the things you have little knowledge off. The country could survive on its own if there is no corruption.
FYI 85% of the Nile river comes out of Ethiopia and there are other great rivers as well. So, the farmers will not need to rely on rain if it uses technology.

well thats the hard truth with a $700 dollar gdp per capita and a population of 100 million people it would take a decade to surpass even the level of prosperity of that of india at $1,700 GDP per capita, developed nations usually has 30,000 gdp per capita and up singapore is at $52,000, this is the time we will say a country's people are really prosperous and rich they have a long long way to go
