Oh you are finally in my wonderful ancient native country of Ethiopia 🇪🇹 Steve!! Im an Ethiopian American here in Minnesota and love your amazing show, Rick Steve's Europe! Ethiopia 🇪🇹 ,with its unparalleled wonderful ancient proud history is definitely a wonderful country to visit !!! I love your shows and watch them whenever I can!! Do keep up the great work please!!!
I have been to Ethiopia 3 times. Ethiopia has a special place for me. I met my wife in Ethiopia, I also married there. I have been to Addis , gerji , Bishoftu and Mekele. It is a beautiful country from all levels.
Having been a volunteer Physical Therapist for Malawi Against Polio (1991-1993), I've had both frustration and hope for our world. It is great that Rick has decided to shed light on some of our world's challenges, and some of the possible solutions. I would also like to see episodes that address overpopulation, access to family planning, and how having smaller families is better for everyone. Additionally, it would be nice if Rick could include a list of companies and organizations we could support, and what changes we could make to improve our world.
To everyone watching this video - the presenter compared the size of Ethiopia to that of Italy! The size of Ethiopia is 1,104,300 sq km while Italy is 301,340 sq km - this makes Ethiopia 266% larger than Italy. Thank you for the video but I hope the presenter will correct this huge mistake.

Every time I’m cussing under my breath pulling that cart full of water jugs and then heating it on the stove to bathe or wash dishes, I’m grateful that at least it’s clean water and it’s not that far of a walk. BUT any way you look at it, living without running water takes up a SIGNIFICANT chunk of your day! Fetching & transporting it and then heating it up to wash stuff all wastes valuable time that could be better served doing something else.
