First. I am 43. I grew up in metal, changed to grunge, then found radiohead, and everything changed for me since then. I started writing songs in the 90s based on guitar songs like radiohead. Most of them back in the day sounded like radiohead! Like you said, if you try to get close to them, you’ll be ripping them off haha🤣
Hey Willy! I honestly think this is one of, if not your best interpretations on the channel. Really solid track all around, appreciate this constant content!
It’s actually ended sounding very Beatles-esq. I wonder if the Beatles had formed in the 90s whether this how they would have sounded. Plus it goes to show you can’t really pull off psychedelia with referencing them! Unless of course you ARE Radiohead, which I guess is their genius🤷♂️
There is some truth in the hater comments, but they're just being dicks for the most part. The production quality is very professional, it sounds more like an interpolation rather than a (styled song). It's difficult to balance on the thin line of inspired and interpolation for a record like OK, it's just far too distinct I think playing in the same key and using the a similar chord progression is what broke the immersion for me. You can get away with using the drum loop though, it mostly dictates rhythm rather than sound which is what you were trying to imitate. P.S No I cannot do better than you man you are leagues above me in instruments, I just really like music.
Thank you! Yes! I absolutely want to do a post punk style song. Someone else had mentioned that to me not too long ago. I’m up for the challenge. Stay posted, it’s in the works.
@@dylancarter4928 He's my second cousin and apparently he always used to complain to my dad about never being able to come up with good lyrics he was definitely more instrumental focused lol
Awe it got upset😢 You’re right, though. You can probably do a way better job than me, anyway. @AlienHomesick, is it? More like Idiot Homesick. Boom, roasted.✨
I mean yeah, why would you compare something this dude made by himself in probably a few days as a DEMO to teach people how to make music vs a song off of one of the greatest albums of all time by one of the best bands of all time?
to everyone replying, its not that its a "demo" or that he composed the thing himself. It just sounds like Subterranean Homesick Alien, not OK Computer style. If someone heard that, they wouldnt think "Radiohead style" they would think that he just copied Subterranean. Which is true. The problem isnt how it sounds, its that its just Subterranean Homesick Alien.

This didn't sound like Radiohead it sounded more specifically like Headradio. How dare you!
lol I’ll take it. Headradio it is!
Elliot smith vibes
i hate elliot smith's vocals. good song writer. musical genius. this is more like the beatles if they started in the 90s

Kinda reminds me of Hyperstory, if you like this theyre worth checking out, just one self titled album
sound really close to subterranean homesick alien!
Thanks, Denis!🙏🏻😅
Yes it does. But it sounds like Subteranean Homesick Alien, if Elliot Smith would had written it.
Love it 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
This doesn't sound like Beach House
😂 Absolutely not, Kenneth
Very informative! Thank you so much
Great video I love radiohead! Can you do smashing pumpkins?!
Thank you, Drew! Yes, will definitely consider a Smashing Pumpkins video!
Oh shit I love that vocal processing, what's going on there?
Thanks! For this one I believe I did compression, EQ and saturation
Yeah!!!! Can you make pink floyd sound or Cigarrettes after sx Sound?
I came up with the chord sequence:
C
Eb
Am
Ab
Do you think this reminiscent of Radiohead?
I believe C-Am-Ab is the main progression in true love waits, and C-Eb is the start of the just progression, so yes, it’s probably radioheadesque
what effects are on the guitar?
Compression, Saturation, flanger and a little reverb.
impressive
Very cool
Thanks, AC!
@@bananalabs always, my man. Thanks for doing Radiohead justice 😎
I appreciate you!

Subterranean Homesick Alien but worse :/
Awe it got upset😢 You’re right, though. You can probably do a way better job than me, anyway. @AlienHomesick, is it? More like Idiot Homesick. Boom, roasted.✨
Lmao what, it’s impressive considering the guy literally composed the entire thing himself. He did a great job
I mean yeah, why would you compare something this dude made by himself in probably a few days as a DEMO to teach people how to make music vs a song off of one of the greatest albums of all time by one of the best bands of all time?
OBVIOUSLY its not as good, but its still damn fucking good and I for one really appreciate this kinda stuff. Thank you Mr Banana Lab
