Look Who’s Hatchin’ the Quacken

- I recently decided to sent packages of duck eggs to several friends who live across the United States. They decided to take those eggs and try to hatch them. Their success rate was surprising.
Be sure to check out my friends' UA-cam Channels. They are all pretty awesome.

About Gold Shaw Farm: Gold Shaw Farm is more of a farm-in-progress than an honest-to-goodness farm. Our dream is that someday we are able to transform our 150+ acre parcel of land into a regenerative and productive homestead and farm.
In the middle of watching this I heard chirping. Thinking to myself “that doesn’t sound like ducklings”. My first gen of my quail were hatching!!
Amazing!
@@GoldShawFarm You make good content.
Congratulations! This guy is great I feel like we get to grow along with him.
First phase of “The Quacken Conquer America” complete!
Morgan, we were so excited to be a part of this project with you and the other channels! Thanks for the opportunity!!
Unknown to Morgan, he will be viewed as the superspreader of the Duck Uprising ... and he will be rewarded by our future duck overlords.
Thank you so much for this awesome experience Morgan! We love our little babies and we learned a lot!
Thanks for the eggs, Morgan! Our quacken are doing great here in Virginia!
That was THE cutest project EVER. I could tell that the adults got into the action, but it was the kids, I mostly enjoyed watching, they INSTANTLY fell in love. And I can see why 💗💗💗
The goslings are doing great. A census worker showed up at my place this morning and she got to see them.
@A H I didn't say I let anyone in my home. I said she showed up. She drove up to the house. I have animals all over the place. It is possible to see goats and dogs without even getting out of your vehicle. And depending on where the chickens, ducks, and geese happen to be at any given moment, they also can be seen from the driveway. Heck, the chickens have started taking their baths in the driveway.
Morgan you are (terrible pun coming in 3..2..1) the Gold standard in the homesteading niche! Awesome collab and I have been watching all these videos as they were happening
Thanks, Josh!
Thank you so much for letting us join in on this adventure it was such a fun experience! ^_^
Awww the kids so excited about the little quackies warm my heart. They're adorable!!
Also I'm really happy to see the "assisted" duckling is perfectly fine!
Watching little baby animals being born (or hatching, as it may) is pure magic. No one can tell me otherwise 😁
Agreed!
Just as I opened UA-cam thinking "I wanna watch a duck video", Gold Shaw delivers. :)
My duck is siting on her own nest of eggs and she is acting like a goose I mean even her husband is scared of her
I love the ones hiding in that one guy's beard!
I've had chicks climb up there too. One chick even hung out up there for an hour one day while I did chores.
@@TheMindfulHomestead That is the most precious thing, I love ducks.
@@franticfactory Us too. Maybe more than chickens even!
he is the bearded brooder
It's so cute😍😍😍
Fun video! Shipping hatching eggs can be tricky -- just getting then there intact is one thing, but hatchability is a whole other story. So many factors can affect whether an egg hatches or not. Regardless, we agree, it's definitely an experience you should try at least once!
It's challenging but it was a great learning experience!
Very true!
One of your best vids yet!! Increase the quacken!!!
Aren’t eggs just bird seeds
The seeds are planted in spring. After a little rain and a few weeks, the duck plant will germinate into a duckling. With some nurture and the right feed, the duckling seedling will flower into a duckplant and will begin sprouting eggs.
LOL, YES!
Eggs are animal seeds, seeds are plant eggs
@@spetsnatzlegion3366 LOL, very good!
🤔🤔
That is so precious. Great job.
That man was so gentle releasing that baby
Thanks! I wanted to be really careful.
What a wonderful experiment! We're expecting a shipment of 10 Khaki Campbell ducklings today. We've got three one week old magpie ducklings in our brooder. If all goes well, I might be ordering hatching eggs from you in the future.
The weight loss is going great! With the amount of work you do every day I'm hardly surprised
Jack, your weight loss looks great on you! Good work!
You strangled my heart playing the sad music for the duck that needed help, but seeing it come out safely *was probably the most immense relief in the universe.*
love the music with those little birdies.. ducklings are so lifely and sassy
9:34 - _cuteness overload_
Haha, that's our little Emma! She loves the ducks!
Morgan you have the best channel love the vids
my duck hatched out eleven chicks so far so good after one week she is a good mom. I wish we had your pond.
All together now "release the quackin"
RELEASE THE QUACKIN
I actually came across one of the lucky homesteads's videos before the release of this video and heard them say "release the quackin" when they hatched their eggs...it was way too cute!!
Wife and I just bought a 10 acre farm in eastern Oklahoma with a pond and hope to raise ducks. We watch your channel and enjoy your sense of humor. When we finalize would like to get some of your duck eggs
This video is adorable!!!!!!!!
Hatchin’ the Quacken - sounds like a great name for a new business!
I’m moving to your area this summer. I hope to make contact with you once we are settled. We are hoping to raise some ducks on our little family homestead . Can’t wait to get there and get settled so we can get started with our little family farm 🦆 We love what you do!
My son hears your videos come on and he comes running so he can yell “release the quaken” or “ all ducks go to bed”. It’s now how we put him to bed hahah “all kids go to bed “ 🙌🏼😂😁
We had a broody hen hatch out all 6 duck eggs we gave her. So fun to watch the hen trying to teach the ducklings to scratch when they just want to get into the water...
Haven't tried incubating any eggs yet. Just got an incubator to give that a try.
Great idea sending the quacken around the country.
Yay! Another video!
So rewarding it must be for you and those families that hatched out the eggs . Fabulous to view this amazing journey with you of the Quackens. 💫💯🦢🐤💙💗
It was amazing!
I never stop being amazed at watching new life pop out of a egg..it's magical.
How happy you made so many friends and there family 🙏❤️❤️❤️
I watched dons video! It was so fun to see two farms I love collaborating
Such a joy seeing them👍🏻
I would SO love to hatch our own ducks !!!! 🥰
It's an amazing experience to hatch your own eggs!
I love everything about this project! 🐣
I can't tell you how much I enjoyed your Channel. I always wondered how you have the time to do this. But after watching another one of your videos I now know you sold everything and bought a farm. I'm guessing it's scary to sell everything and just buy a farm. But you are doing so well. I absolutely love every video. I'm new to your channel so I'm catching up. It's clear that you love every single creature on your farm. And that is what I think make sure channel so special. You're very caring man. I love how you name them LOL. Keep up the great videos love them
Dude - severely awesome thing you did for all those folks, and for us too.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for giving me something to laugh about. Cute little buggers.
Duckling mania!! I loved it.
Amazing sent out duck eggs,!
this did me good today, thanks
Just loves this episode too, your friends were lucky to know you, I'd love to try and incubate duck and geese eggs, just awesome! thanks for all the joy, harships, and laughter =)
Boy that was fun. I had a smile on face the whole time. Now off to watch the playlist.

Quaack quaaack🐣🐣🐣
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for sharing this video and fr sending the ducklings all around the country. They are a cute bunch. Have a Blessed day.
The attention he gets 60-80k views. The Attention he deserves 7.8billion views. Keep the good work up man love your vids
Thank you!
I have a few of people's videos I just tap that thumbs up with out watching the video because I know it will be good, you are one of those people thank you your videos they are awesome!
Wholesome.
I haven't watched a UA-cam video in months, to caught up in my pregnancy/newborn life... This was a great one to get back into watching with! I love all the baby ducks! Did I see a Cayuga egg??? I might have to order some to hatch if so!
The duckling nuzzling Jack's beard.... So cute 😻😻😭😭💙💙
I've had chicks do it too. They love it up there!
Super cool video Morgan. I can tell you put a lot of time and effort into this one.
Thanks! It was really fun to make.
hands down I love all your videos
Cool experiment Morgan, my wife and I have call ducks and we hatch them out and let me tell you. Calls are really difficult to hatch. But nothing beats having a hen broody and sitting on eggs. I have a call mom sitting on over a dozen eggs that should be hatching anytime now. Cheers and thanks for sharing all this cuteness.
I raised Canaries and I would candle each egg..so exciting
This was such a great idea! The concept and editing were wonderful, awesome video.
Adorable!!!!!!
Now all we need to do is make The Quacken international and then they can take over the world!
They'll never make it to Australia.
We hatched our first round of ducklings and every single one of the eggs produced the duckling seven. Got the next batch in the incubator again. We did find that spraying them with a touch of water when they were trying to get out of their shell help them from having the shell dry to them.
I. LOVE. DUCKS!!!!!!
So cute! I don't want to deal with brooding ducklings again, which is one of the reasons why I have Muscovies...they'll hatch out their own and take care of them. 😉
Hey Morgan I have 3 female ducks and 1 male duck they are always laying eggs like crazy so I have hoped for them to start laying on them but it’s been 2 years now and they still haven’t payed on them so I decided to do something I saw on a video by someone named A chick called Albert I put three eggs under a hen to see if I was successful well 2 eggs sadly didn’t have any life in them but this one egg started to crack and I got excited but I had to give the egg it’s time to hatch and next morning I got the first ever duckling to be hatched in my farm it’s a working process but he is growing well and healthy and your videos about how to raise them really are helping me out
Duck hatching is my favorite drug, thank you for giving me my supply
Oh, this made me so happy, to watch these baby quakken emerge, the promise of new life!!!
Hatching is always an amazing experience. Doesn't matter how many times we hatch something out it's always a special experience
What an exciting video and such a great idea! Wonderful.
Be fruitful and multiple and fill the earth . . . with The Quacken!
Damn!!! was watching some of your older vids looks like farm living got you in shape 👍
BEST POST YET!!!
This seems fun, thanks for including the others and thinking if this amazing project
Our pleasure!
Loved this one. Thanks😁
Hi Morgan!! I really like what you did with your eggs. Baby Morganites for everyone!😂
Baby Morganites, LOL!
Farmer Jei I couldn’t think of a better name for them. Maybe a new sub species 😉
An up close and personal experience of bringing life into the world.
That was awesome 😊
Hatchin' the Quacken'! I really appreciate the sound of that. I want to try; I'd release a teenage duck at the local duck pond:-)!
I've gotta say this summer seems jam packed with new animals and i love it
im liking the new look morgan me boy
So awesome
From a cell/molecular biology perspective, the development of animal embryos is an incredibly complex and intricate concert of events. It's astounding that so many do make it. There's also a complex system of "checkpoints" to keep embryo development on the right track, and when the standards aren't met, there are mechanisms to stop growth. The ones that don't hatch aren't a failure; they're a success so we don't get babies with missing heads or vital organs, but instead those mishaps are halted very early on in the "bundle of cells" stages. This happens with humans too. Many miscarriages happen so early that the mother never knows she was pregnant. The estimate is somewhere between 25-75% of pregnancies end in miscarriage.
In all animals, it's a very natural and important part of the development process to be able to stop development if something is wrong. If an egg doesn't hatch or a pregnancy miscarries, chances are that it's not so much that the baby didn't make it, but rather that a baby wasn't really "there" to begin with.
Love the video - good one Morgan. Here, in addition to our hen's ducklings (11 days old) our muscovy has hatched all 15 of her eggs! The Dixie Chicks have arrived. We've been handling the 3 ducklings daily, but Dixie is so Tasmanian Devil (still!) that we couldn't get close even if we wanted to!
Awesome Video!
love content keep it up my dude
Excellent video
Yeah! Distributing progeny of the quack'n! Looks like there were some different mixes in some cases too. Cool! Would love updates on these guys.
We had quite the mix! We had khaki campbell eggs, at least one cayuga egg and a pekin!
@@gardenerjei Very cool!
