I am old and disabled. I don't get to mass very often. My kids don't want to take me. I was watching a Catholic Video. And I was crying and apologizing to Jesus about not getting the Eucharist and not making it to Mass very often. As I set crying , all of a sudden I could smell incense. The very same incense that used to be used in a High Mass as the Priest made his entrance and walked down the Isle to the altar. It lasted for about 10 seconds. I hope it was Jesus saying he understood.
@@rmader1997 I believe God understands. You could call your church and ask them to have someone bring you communion at home. I know in our churches there are people who bring the Eucharist to the home bound. I’m sure they would understand. Prayers for you. 🙏🙏🙏💕
God excuses you if you’re ill, old or disabled. I’ve had the smell of incense too and yes I believe it’s a sign. Are you able to watch mass on UA-cam? Many do it and there are Eucharistic ministers who will bring Holy Communion to the elderly or sick. Perhaps the priest could visit you too.
It could be God wanting you to recieve communion...you can call your parish and arrange for a priest to come out and give you confession and the Eucharist...after a certain age if you are homebound then the priest can come out to you and give you communion and allow you to watch mass on TV on Sundays. He can even give you anointing of the sick you don't have to be on your deathbed for it...better do it now while you are in your right mind to do confession.
My son died by suicide. About a month after he passed I was sitting across legged at his grave and the song Give me a sign by Breaking Benjamin came on. I wasn't looking for a sign. As I stood up I found on the bottom/side of my shoe a tiny, yellow smiley face sticker giving a thumbs up. It gave me a little comfort. I have that little sticker on my fridge. I still worry about his soul, but I put all of my faith in God's mercy and I pray for him and all the souls in purgatory every night. Just to add: I don't think it was my son contacting me. I think it was God offering me some comfort during an unbearable moment when I really needed it. 19:37
Good evening. I decided this past spring/summer that now that I’m getting up in age and have no immediate family members to plan a funeral for me if I should die, I better do something about it now. I decided what to do about my will, my living will and my own funeral. I was very anxious about the whole process. I prayed and asked God to guide me through the process, because having to make these decisions, though necessary, are not something that I looked forward to doing. I think it’s because I became painfully aware that my remaining years are getting short. I had never thought about that before. Although I never asked for signs, I began to find single rosebuds on the ground every so often. It seemed as though every time a certain task was completed, I found another rosebud in the oddest places. It was as though God was telling me, I was making the right decisions. I found a total of 8 rosebuds. It has been 7 months since I completed the whole process and I haven’t found another one since. 🙌
You can add in your will a designated amount of money for your mass intentions. For example state $1000 towards masses for your intention. Or whatever you want to help with prayers.
I believe as long as your heart is in a good place and you are kind to others God will always be with you. Don’t worry to look for the sign it will appear for you soon. This video randomly showed up and it was exactly at the time I needed. As far as signs with loved ones, I had one thing happen that I could not explain. I was very close to my grandfather and was heartbroken when he died. He had wanted to sing professionally and we joked he could have been another Dean Martin. The song Pennies from Heaven was a favorite. A week after he died, I was at our mall with my parents. We were on the top floor and a person would have to use a lift to reach the ceiling. As we were walking, something dropped just past my nose. A penny dropped from above me and it landed on the floor in front of me. My parents and I were shocked. Was it necessarily related to my grandfather? No. How a penny dropped from that ceiling though cannot be explained. Either way, we will keep praying for him.

I think one of the most important things I heard is from Father Mac… is treating what others say / believe with reverence and thus kindness. For me I don’t discern signs per se….. I think when one is in conflict the most calming and insightful avenue is not to request a visible sign but to drop your knees and pray the rosary for spiritual guidance and stepping stones . If that is interpreted to be “signs” by some folks … so be it.
First let me say that we are not human beings experiencing a spiritual journey, but we are spiritual being experiencing a human journey. Second - let me add that my latest book: SIGNS - The Veil is Thinner Than We Imagine specifically calls out several ways we receive signs. From dreams, through nature encounters, through numbers, through visions, and through voice, etc. And as always through his hand/voice within the Bible. I have interviewed some very interesting people for my book, and I tell their story, as well as my own. Stories of how SIGNS have impacted our lives. I also include information from experts, current and those that have passed, and I try to show that though there may be coincidence, there are certain things (SIGNS) that cannot be any other than messages from beyond the Veil.
I go the the Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche about every 2-3 months for confession and to do the walking rosary. Last time I was there, I walk out of the church after confession and in front of the church is a pond. As I was walking to the path from church I looked up towards the sky and 2 white doves flew down and landed on the post by the pond right in front of me about 12 feet away. They stayed there and I instantly knew that was from God. They stayed there for about a full minute or two then flew off back to the sky and disappeared. Not sure where they went but when to you ever see 2 white doves. Yes, 100 percent white doves . When I saw them I instantly knew Mary and Jesus were together and they hear my prayers and repentance.
"Hey, God spoke to you, but not to me!" this sort of way of God speaking through others is something we need humility to achieve. When God speaks to us, we have to understand first, "But I am a worm, and not a man." first. (Ps 22) Check scriptures, listen to what others are saying....we need to confirm first as we discern. The evil one is waiting for his moment to jump in and mess things up. You will remember it. It will stick in your head for days.
I have had a few signs from God in my lifetime and I never asked for any of them - they just happened and were unexplained or too coincidental. As we all know, there are no coincidences, just God.

You could try calling up a local catholic church and ask if there's someone that's willing to pick you up on Sunday to take you to Mass.

I have found a total of 3 rosaries, all on sidewalks, 3 separate times.

I'm confused. This doesn't seem like a sign given by God for people to use; it feels more like God being born amidst human suffering.
