- AUG 21st 2018 Street outlaws no prep event at bristol dragway racing for $200k. Most of the heavy hitters including Chief, murder nova (jumped/red lit), daddy dave, chuck,shane, and fireball camaro get knocked out in the 1st day of eliminations. Lutz broke in the finals vs megaladon. This is just footage from day 1 due to it raining the event out. The rest of the 405 (monza and reaper) got beat the following day unfortunately I couldnt make it back to film.

Jeff luits crew is really nice we pitted behind them at the tri five nationals this year. They fed us lunch while we waited for the rain to stop.

Hey everybody! Brent Austin and Megalodon took the crown at Bristol earlier today. He beat Jeff Lutz in the finals and took home a hundred grand in the process. Not bad for a middle of the week payday!

It wasn't easy finding info on the street outlaws either. Shows are generally aired about a month or so after filming and the producers don't like letting race results out to the public beforehand. But if you're diligent in your search you can usually find results earlier.

Well it isn't for show it's for traction. But if you over power your traction aka your tires and your rubber on your lane from other rounds and your burnouts your going to get out of your groove and be on the slippery service and there's almost no coming back from that in the 1/8mile when you got cars very close in power like Shawn and cheif Kya Kelly and swamp thing etc. Street racing and no prep is alot about skill in tunes and knowing how to do long burnouts and so on and experience and having a top of the line car budget helps but at the end of the day anything can happen. And on a no prep and street compared to a prepped track its more likely that anything cam happen will since your constantly not having traction and you go from maybe having a shitty lane then it's good then it's shitty and so on depending on the weather and who the races before u and so on. Anything can happen on no prep and street you don't need 700 plus cubic inches or big turbos to win a race on these conditions

Racing at this level is fairly specialized. The guys who spend a lot of time at the track will most certainly be better at it than guys that don't, no matter how badass the car. Same reason the Street Outlaws guys are tough to beat on their home turf. Nothing at all surprising in Friday's results. Ryan does more track racing than the other guys, so he tends to do fairly well at track based events compared to guys who beat him on the show. At this level, every little advantage counts.

No matter where you race it is the art getting you car to preform and cutting a light.

Rich Theory I agree, but suspension setup and power management is time consuming and requires trial and error. F1 teams, Nascar etc all need time and an army of engineers to get the car properly set up before a race. These dudes have a couple of test passes, and then the trial and error is the actual race. If you have many hits on a particular track, you have an idea of where to start.

It's tough to slow cars down ....you have guys doing almost 200mph in the 1/8th they would all crash running. 1/4 miles. That's why top fuel cut back to 1000 ft.
xcp747 how is a race won and done in the 1/8th? That’s not even close to true, how many times do cars come around on the big end in the 1/8th and sometimes barely win or sometimes barely lose? All an 1/8th proves is who got the best traction that race and went AtoB not who has the fastest car.

And to top all that off, he always seems like he has a bad attitude as well! I street raced a lot when I was a kid, I had a '66 Caprice with a big block that beat a LOT of unsuspecting muscle cars. It ran 14's, the only mods were Thrush mufflers, it was such a pig that it didn't spin when it took off, so I was out on everyone who was frying their tires trying to get moving, and as anyone who has ever street raced knows, trying to get traction on the street is a different thing than a track, even a no-prep track. Now I am old and have an SUV, but I have stoplight raced a lot of Dodge pickups and beaten them, it is still a thrill. Now a show comes on where they are doing some SERIOUS street racing with some SERIOUS cars, a lot of different personalities, and as the show has evolved, the format has changed a lot, but I STILL LOVE IT. Some of you need to get over yourselves about being judgmental, you sound like gossipy little girls, and just be happy we have had this added to our lives. If the 405 won every race, then we would have to hear, "FIXED!" "Scripted!"....

@C Mac not really. Chief never beat birdman on the street. And Dave has beaten chief alot more than he has beat Dave. So Dave is as fast or faster than chief. Both of them are faster than kye. Kye can't keep up anymore. And Ryan got beat at the track by Larry Larson, birdman and magladon.
@C Mac lol. Dave beat chief dozens of times to chiefs 3 wins over Dave in 20 years. Dave also beat chief this season for the #1 spot. And birdman had problems when he lost to JJ in the street. Birdman killed kye numerous times on the street. Birdman likes the track because that's where the money is. No money to be made on the street. Facts are facts.
WINNING to be honest if your street racing track racing number 1 or number 1111 if these guys are out here just racing for the money they will never win most of these guys have lost passion for the sport. If your not passionate about then get the fuck outta the way they put more effort in the games they play then actually racing and ask if any off then guys rake them cars to local sonic street cars my ass all of these cars are drag race purpose cars where you chose to race them totally different but the thing about no prep originally was to make the track as close to the street as possible in a safe environment they said it in the chief n Shawn show it's on 1320 video too but fastest on the street Dave chief and kye at the track Ryan megladon birdman but watch for reaper tho he got x275 killers bruders brothers helping him on reaper cars we will see

Well its good to see chief on the trailer. Murder Nova had him beat but stepped on his D***K on that one. It is a whole lot different from last year. Some of these other guys are stepping up.
The only episode I wanna watch is when they all crash into each other in a huge fireball and are never seen or heard from again.

As a group these guys are almost unbeatable. Not many states can make the claim they do and back it up with 10 heavy hitters.
They haven't raced anyone with comparable cars in years. They just pick on guys with cars worth half of theirs. All the guys with the same level car was at Bristol and we see the result.

No they are not. Chiefs car is a full tube chassis race car that was originally built to be raced (and was raced for years) in a ProMod class. They are ALL full tube chassis race cars now.

I think they scrape the track so it won't be covered with rubber, to make it more like a real street. I'm pretty sure I seen that on an episode of No Prep Kings. 99% sure.
A non prepped track is usually slicker than the street. It was probably pretty tacky after a few passes though and the high ass heat that's been around lately. Either way the show is stupid. As with everything a producer adds bullshit and fake drama. All of these cars are far from street cars.

No these cars have been around for many years. Street Outlaws just put it on TV. The true meaning of Street Outlaw was originated well before the show. The reason it's called that is because it's a street legal car with massive horsepower. But 90% of these cars you see are trailer driven. The biggest best and first ever Outlaw shootout was here in Cecil County Maryland. Yellow Bullet Nationals! And it has been running for many years. Much longer than any damn TV show lol. They were actually invited here and refuse. Doc mom's a big chief Dave all them big heads didn't have the balls to show up. A couple of them said they would be here and never showed.
