Fun Fact: A lot of people make fun of the German words Krankenwagen and Krankenhaus, but what they don't know is that those words directly translate to suffer car and suffer house. Turns out a lot of German words are just 2 or more words combined. Another word that I love is Antibabypille which is the German word for a birth control pill (the plural is Antibabypillen).
@@anglo69 The difference is they learn young and we didn't. I don't know where you're from, but where I'm from in the US I wasn't even able to take classes to learn other languages until 6th grade and my only option was Spanish. It's almost like they want us to not know much about other cultures and want us to base our opinions of other people off of what we learn about their past actions in history class. I'm not going to say that my theory is correct, but I will say that ever since I started learning German a lot of people including my own family have made racist comments about Germans around me.
