you can also unstuck it by hammering with a little bit faster and strength.
if the rivet is always has this problem and sometimes it wont work you should use an all purpose oil or wd-40 to prevent it from this problem.

Thank you so much. Used oil did not work on this project. Ruin a cheap 38 year old gun. Brought the top arrow one. Wow so easy no taking apart .

This happens to me often and I thought it was because of an inferior tool design. Supposedly it is due to incorrect stem length.

I bought a cheap riveting gun less than $9 Walmart hyper tough and was able to place one rivet in aluminum gutter; the next two rivets got stuck. Bought an Arrow at HD for $32 and out of three rivets all three got stuck and the last two would not even cut or pop the stem although I kept sequencing the handle. Are all rivet guns this bad? I could not pull or push the stuck stem from either gun

: I heard that the reason for this is because of incorrect stem length. Try trimming a 1/4" from the stem prior to compressing rivit. Let me know how this works.
