On my trip out west late July of '22, my main destination was to visit the site. Telling of it later here in Michigan, when I said I went to the Black Hills, people thought I meant a neighborhood here in GR. Only by mentioning Sturgis did they relate. Most had no idea what Wounded Knee was. Such is the state of education of typical civilians, not calling them citizens here😢
