I bought the La Prima based off your Forte review. I am so glad I put faith in your recommendations, I have loved every aspect of the La Prima gear and my GT Omega Titan. Thank you so much for your honest and thorough reviews Karl keep up all the great work.

@@KarlGosling I just purchased the La Prima bundle as an upgrade from my T248 based on your video recommendations over a Moza set up, there isn’t a lot of money in it when you are spending all this money in my opinion, my budget could stretch so made sense! so thanks for always having honest reviews.

I have the csl dd load cell pedals and love them. They are quite the upgrade from the g29 pedals. It took ages to get used to the lack of travel of the load cell brake but I now prefer it completely. I did install the gas shock mod for the gas pedal. Simers say the pedals are the most important piece of the puzzle and I now agree. If you can afford better pedals than I have, get them! I know, left field comment...

I am totally new to sim racing and barley started about a month ago. I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy it so I was cheap and bought the logitech G923 to run on my PS5. I'm hooked now and look to buy a better set up in the near future and this looks great for someone who wants to get serious about sim racing. Love all your videos and how honest you're reviews are. Keep up the great content!!!

Logitech is the perfect way to dip your toe in the water and yes this bundle here is an amazing upgrade and you can expand it further down the line too... can't go wrong IMO!
If it's within your budget of course, otherwise there's plenty of other options for direct drive like the Fanatec CSL DD for example.

I think the wheelbases from Asetek are top notch. Wheel is not for me, very much like a toy. Pedals based on reviews aren't the best load cells. Their hydraulic pedals I hear are great but load cell is not very consistent. Great review tho, appreciate the feedback.

@KarlGosling my dude, I always watch your reviews because it feels like I am asking a good buddy if "blank" is worth the money or if I should just stay with what I have. I just got CSL DD with a NLR wheelstand 2.0, and this video reassured my satisfaction for the purchase I did. You never say in any of your videos, get this super expensive thing because the cheaper stuff is shit. The Logitech is a damn nice little wheel and a lot of fun can be had with it.

Coming from Moza r5, I'm looking for a better wheelbase. La Prima looks perfect but I worry slightly on the strength front vs Forte. I love the idea that you can buy La Prima now and upgrade later if desired. I heard upgrade might involve soldiering and they might have you send in your circuit board and they'll send back a new one.
I'm wondering if they just wait for La Prima v2 and have that one be up-gradable in an easier way, then I'll be stuck if I want to upgrade. How likely do you think current La Prima's will be upgrade-able if I later desire it? Do you have a source for CEO saying this? He has some excellent videos. Wondering if it came from there.
Something else awesome: Being a 12nm wheelbase running at 12nm means I don't have to worry about dialing ffb down slightly from max to minimize overheating and improve lifespan since the hardware can handle 18nm.

Karl! Hello! Have you tried the Asetek Tony Kannan edition? It is sold at 799$ (bundle with wheel and pedals included) here in the US by MicroCenter (which is way under the La Prima bundle price). Also, I have seen on Reddit that it's closer to the Forte as it is to the La Prima. Still 12NM (upgradable) but the wheel is not missing the buttons and the wheelbase is not missing the ports! How awesome is that!? It would be great to see a review of that one if you can get your hands on one! Thinking about getting it here at the end of the month. What would be a good foldable cockpit for small apartment living that can handle a 12NM wheelbase (if any)? PS: It has to be foldable otherwise I won't have a wife no more.

Not entry level at all. Too expensive. Too much torque for beginners. I wouldnt mount this to a desk with that much torque. Get a Moza R5 set at Microcenter for $399 and their store brand cockpit for $299. Drive it for a year and really make sure its want you want to invest real money in. If youre a casual racer keep the Moza. If you want to become hardcore and want as much realism as possible then start shopping for a new system. Youll be able to sell your Moza setup to another beginner.
