Great job of acknowledging that the consumers are interested in a wide range of wheels and that you are actually offering a way to more or less use whatever you want without being locked into an ecosystem!
To hear a CEO humble themselves and admit fault when they've made a mistake, that's a growth mindset right there! I LOVE my Invicta S- Series Pedals. Best decision I ever made for my rig! Thank you and love from Canada!

This kind of video makes me want to have a good hard look at your offerings. You're definitely not making it easy on the competition, that's for sure! Well done to you and your entire team! I almost went with the simucube 2 pro until I started looking at asetek's invicta wheelbase, this company really cares about improving the simracing experience by making adapters and being transparent unlike many other companies, I can't wait to get my invicta wheelbase 🙌
how does the La Prima (torque, throttle pedal, etc) feel? Can't find any reviews on the La Prima. Forte looks great, but I think La Prima should do the job for me
@@drchtct i came from a thrustmaster tmx so i cant really compare it to wheels on an equal level but i really enjoy it, the torque is insane (tmx had like 1.5 nm i think) and more than enough for me. I dont use the pedals so i cant say anything about it but for the wheelbase i can recommend buying it :)
Waiting for a way to create a Rally / JDM setup since the day my Wheelbase arrived!! Now that we have the QR, I'm hoping to see a Round Wheel option from one of your partners.. ;)
Why would you include three lengths of the QR shaft when you only can really use one? The added cost that is added because of that makes no sense when you could just have three options instead to buy. Kinda a waste of material and extra shipping weight for a company that has a "going green" policy.
It's quite amusing how people always find something to complain about. First, there were complaints about the lack of forte face plates included with the purchase of the invictas. Then, when the elastoma kit was released, people started complaining about not receiving all five elastomas when buying a pedal set. There were even complaints about receiving five elastomas in the kit when some already had three of them. And now, there are complaints about including all three lengths of shafts. Honestly, if Asetek had made three different kits, each with different shaft lengths, I'm certain that some other group of people would have found a reason to complain. It's clear that no matter what Asetek decides to do, there will always be someone dissatisfied. The truth is, you simply cannot please everyone.
Having to store two useless extensions for every kit you buy is annoying and a 200 mm extension is usually around 50 € if you buy it separately because it's quite some material and CNC machining needed. You can't compare that with some rubbers for brakes and people usually don't have a clue what rubbers to use, but they should know well what extension fit to their rig.
@@Leynad778 I understand that the shafts and elastomers are not directly comparable, and I wasn't attempting to make a direct comparison either. If it makes them less expensive, I will probably also prefer if there were three different kits. But I was just saying that I find it funny that there is always someone complaining.
@@detvedjegikkedk There are reasonable complains and this is one. Some people complain in reviews, if there is no M6 Allen-key in a set and they have to search for one of the dozens other M6 Allen-keys that came with other products. IMO such basic tools should not be included anymore if there is not an odd size or shape required like this stupid empirical-sized allen keys.
We understand, but If we had to do all the extra work of making different products for the different lengths, like webshop integration, packaging, storage/picking and so on, all products would end up being more expensive in the end anyway.
I would like to work for this company. I really appreciate the founder's hands-on approach to this company. The ability to say that we understand that you as a customer want a better product. It will take more time to make it right because they seem to actually care about their own products as well as their customers.
I Andre, I have a question (hope not too late…). This is great, but will be a possibility to use one of this extensions with your own Asetek wheels?. I mean I want to use an extension to put the monitor between the base and the wheel, with all the modifications required in the rig itself. The issue is then I would not be able to use one of your own Asetek wheels, as far as I know I can not use one of these extenders in them. Am I missing something?. I ask because I have now a DD2 with a third part shaft extender, but I considering to move to a Asetek Invicta, but this point is key to pull the trigger. Am I missing something?, if not there is plans to make your own wheels also “extensible”?
@@AsetekSimSports Hi, just a suggestion, as said I really like your products and I am considering to buy the Invicta wheelbase in near future. But I would like to give you a suggestion/idea from a user point of view. It is regarding the QR, I still not tested it but seems great, but has one little detail that could be an issue I guess, the size of the lever that pops up at the top. In my case I put the monitor between the base and the wheel, to allow me to put it as close and low as possible to be able to increase the FOV and have a more "real" point of view, for that I am waiting eagerly for the base shaft extension you mentioned. But the size of the paddle of your QR I think could be an issue, as it is pretty big and light orange color!! and stays pretty high, and in my case could pop out just in front of the monitor. Just a suggestion, I think would be better if possible to make this paddle smaller, not so big, this way in cases like mine we would not have the risk to have this paddle blocking part of the monitor, also as it is light orange would be difficult not seeing it! Thanks
@@AsetekSimSports hi yes I saw that the future base shaft extension will not have a “paddle” to fix the conexión with the base shaft but will use a screw to fix it instead. That’s good but I was not referring to that, but to the QR paddle you will still have in the wheel side QR, even if you use the future shaft extension, if I am not wrong you will connect the wheel to the end of the extension with the QR that is in the wheel side, and I assume that one will still have the big paddle popping out in the top. This Is the one I am talking about, if you have the monitor near and in a low position, I think it could sit in front and cover part of the bottom side of the monitor. I am aware this apply for this way to use it, but if considered would make it perfect design, not “almost” perfect :)
I really like these kind of video drops. Such an insight into how everything works. Also the pricing is amazing tbh....after explaining all that I was like dam it's going to be like $400 lol
You are doing everything right. From the products to the presentation. The only thing I don't like is the Asetek design of your wheelbase and especially your wheels. They look a bit toyish, although they are high quality. Your products with the Simagic aesthetic would make it perfect.
It´s nice that it is finally here, looks well designed and in the end i have to buy it. The only annoying thing is, that everybody hat to pay for the extra extensions, even if you don´t need them.
Yay, finally 🙂 Your decision to open up your ecosystem to third party manufacturers was one of the reasons I went for your wheelbase instead of the competitors (along with your open communication and also admitting mistakes). So if I understood you correctly i can mount (almost) any existing wheel with a USB connection, the QR+wheelbase will act as a "USB pass-through" and the wheel will work the same as when connected directly to the PC via USB? I got my Forte Wheelbase + Wheel end of march and I really like it. The only downside so far was that the Forte Wheel is not well suited for rally driving. Looking forward to getting a rally wheel ready in the near future 😀
What adapters do I need to be able to use the Moza KS wheel with the Forte wheel base? What adapters do I need to use the Simagic GT Neo with the Forte wheel base?
This is fantastic news, I've been waiting for this! However, I am would like to ask about one thing. Is there any chance you will sell a basic package that simply includes the 80mm length? I personally have no use for extensions due to the position of my wheelbase, and would really appreciate a slightly lower price point even if it means a reduction in value-for-money.
Awesome. I only need one length but still awesome. I'm looking forward to a full round steering wheel by Asetek for Ralley Games. Hope this will be soon too. 🙏
Can't wait to get mine!! Any news of the upgrade kit for LaPrima Wheelbase to Forte and news of the upgrade kit from LaPrima/Forte Pedals to Invicta Pedals? Thank you Asetek for taking Simracing upwards and to new heights!
We have opened our eco system to other steering wheel manufacturers to provide end users with a very broad (endless) variety of steering wheels. However we have no interest nor see any benefit in reducing ourselves to become a quick release vendor for our competitors. So the short answer to your question is that the WB side will not be available to others.
The asstek QR doesn’t work with my simagic gt neo wheel :( . Nothing wrong with the wheel as it works if I connect it directly to pc but not through the QR
Good to see, but the solution is completely over engineered for those like me who already have an ecosystem of wheels and quick releases. All you had to do Asetek was allow customers the ability to unbolt your quick release from the base and replace it with something else. I have 7 wheels in my collection with quick releases that I am already happy with and don't want to change.
Let me make sure i understand this correctly. Lets say I just want to mount a wheel without any button box or anything. Just a plain old round wheel for drifting. I would just disconnect the USB cable from the QR and it will read just fine?
Yes! If there are no electronics in the wheel, essentially, there is nothing to read anyway. The force feedback is controlled entirely by the wheelbase and the inputs you give it through the wheel, if that is what you're thinking about.
Great news. But I have the feeling everybody is just focused on the QR. The software (RaceHub) feels still very Beta and there where no updates for a long time now. I had some issues and Asetek promised me that this issues will be solved with the next release. But nothing happens. This is disappointing. But at least one of the issues could be solved if I not anymore forced to use the original steering wheel…
Hey Alex Which issues have you been having with the software? 2.3.0 was just released yesterday, so hopefully that fixes some or all of the problems you might have.
@@MadmandenDK - Wheelbase goes into standby mode after a short time. Standby mode draws higher current than active mode. Why standby mode??? - Software always launches on the wrong (secondary) monitor where it is not visible as this monitor is usually intended for Simhub only. Last used monitor in regedit shows monitor "1" after shutdown of computer. If I close the software manually before shutdown the monitor is "0", what is correct. - Not possible close to the system tray - just minimize to tray. Sometimes I accidentally closed the software. Why not doing it like e.g. SimHub? - ... - ... Overall, the software feels a bit "Chinese". What I mean is that there is a lot of emphasis on bling bling rather than pure functionality. The serious sim racer should be given more freedom to determine how the entire system behaves. This makes the actually high-quality hardware feel a bit cheap. There are more points that bother (all have to do with the software). In the meantime, three of my friends have already sold the system again because they didn't want to bother with the problems anymore. If you lose two races because the software plays a trick on you, then you take the consequences...
It would be nice for everybody to use NRG style qr with that usb inside. This way you can mix and match. We need some standards, because it’s getting out of hand..

@@AsetekSimSports makes sense… thanks for the reply
The asstek QR doesn’t work with my simagic gt neo wheel :( . Nothing wrong with the wheel as it works if I connect it directly to pc but not through the QR
Could be interesting to use the 3 lenghts also for the Forte Wheel, is it something you are planning to do?
Would be nice if the extensions were completely standalone
Will it work with fanatec club sport wheel
The day someone will release a non exclusive QR, and manufacturers are gonna use them, those are gonna be good days
If you have testet so much steering wheels it would be great to make something like a "compatibility list"...
So does the steering wheel connect to a USB hub in the wheel base?
This is an incredible achievement! What an amazing example of commitment 🏁🏁🏁🏁
Thank you 🙌
LOVE IT ❤️❤️❤️
Thankj you! 🙏
When can we expect it to be available in the North American store?
Does this make Fanatec wheels compatible Asetek DD's ?
Let me make sure i understand this correctly. Lets say I just want to mount a wheel without any button box or anything. Just a plain old round wheel for drifting. I would just disconnect the USB cable from the QR and it will read just fine?
Yes! If there are no electronics in the wheel, essentially, there is nothing to read anyway. The force feedback is controlled entirely by the wheelbase and the inputs you give it through the wheel, if that is what you're thinking about.
I ask myself if you should not have gone directly into Laser Sintering aka Metal 3D printing. But Asetek has great Engineers, they surely know best.
Can i put one of the extensions on my Forte Formula wheel?
Yes :)
so it's possible to put a normal steering wheel onto the wheelbase? instead of a formulawheel.
but you're the best and i dream to have a set from you. ^^
Hey Alex
Which issues have you been having with the software? 2.3.0 was just released yesterday, so hopefully that fixes some or all of the problems you might have.

- Wheelbase goes into standby mode after a short time.
SimHub?

Overall, the software feels a bit "Chinese". What I mean is that there is a lot of emphasis on bling bling rather than pure functionality. The serious sim racer should be given more freedom to determine how the entire system behaves. This makes the actually high-quality hardware feel a bit cheap. There are more points that bother (all have to do with the software). In the meantime, three of my friends have already sold the system again because they didn't want to bother with the problems anymore. If you lose two races because the software plays a trick on you, then you take the consequences...
Awesome! Cant wait
😮 awesome !
Can I use this qr on vrs wheel base ?
Splendid news. 👍
It would be nice for everybody to use NRG style qr with that usb inside. This way you can mix and match. We need some standards, because it’s getting out of hand..
i recently i bought a wheel base the invicta!!
I would love to have the first spacer!!
I dont care how much will cost!!
Please doit and sell it at a price that you like !!
i like it better and i dont care about the cost!
I dont like how the spacer is with the steering wheel!!
I would love to be in the base like other companies do!
What adapters do you need to connect the hyper p1 to the asetek quick release
The Invicta Quick Release Adapter 👍
