Stephen Curry On Why Game 4 In Boston Mattered So Much To Him

- Our guest this week is the greatest shooter of all time and one of our favorite players ever, Stephen Curry. We are not exaggerating when we say this is an all-time episode. We cover SO much in his career and to be honest, I'm not sure there's ever been more laughter in an episode. We're excited to share it first thing tomorrow morning! In this particular clip, Steph explains why he was so emotional in Game 4 of The 2021 NBA Finals between The Golden State Warriors and The Boston Celtics and why he calls it his "favorite game of his career."

This full conversation goes live first thing tomorrow morning. It’s an all timer (plus I don’t think we’ve ever laughed as much doing a pod). Subscribe if you haven’t. See you all in the morning.
Thank You JJ.

I love how Steph is a grown man with a wife and 3 three kids along as a 4 time champion and still gets in trouble with his mom about his “word choice “😂😂😂
So funny. He is already getting in trouble with his mom on his word choice. Everytime he tells these stories, he mentions his mom calling him out. lol

Cats also forget that Steph grabbed 10 boards to go along with his 43 points against the number 1 defense in the NBA. Steph knew the assignment and enhanced his legacy to new heights.
Good point, although you must remember that GS is #2 in defensive rating by just a bit (less than a one point, I think), but what he did was spectacular.
His rebounding ability is always underrated he just plays the angles right and is way stronger than people think I remember him out muscling Dwight Howard for a rebound right under the hoop
@@DanielGonzalez-vo5ni like Dennis Rodman. He didn't have the height compared to traditional centers but he studied angles
What was underrated about Game 4 was the fact that Steph went off the way he did and went against the crowd to take the heat off of Draymond 🥲 real leader vibes
Then Draymond started this year by proving the Boston fans right. Now the team plays with little energy because Draymond was in charge of that. Now the young players aren't playing well because the leader of the young guys was punched by one of the leaders of the team. Now the loudest voice inspires derision. Boston fans told no lies.

This was humbling, hearing one the greatest players of all time open himself and show that even himself had doubts, even after having accomplished almost everything he could’ve.
It is so humbling to behold people ceaselessly misuse the term humbling. It's so humbling that one needs to humble oneself off to a humbling ice cream store and get a big, humbling scoop of humbling ice cream, so that one can humble oneself back to himself again, in a humbling fashion. So humbling.

The fact that he took that heat and went crazy for Dray and the team speaks volumes of the kinda leader that he is.
I remember when Dray said he believes that Steph's attitude in game four was partly for him and I was skeptical but this just shows he's right, Steph was standing up for him and I love it 💕
Maybe the best game hes ever played. He carried that team on his back offensively for 4 quarters… and played good defense. A masterpiece of a game

I still can‘t believe how epic that game was, Steph really took souls that night.
That game sent chills up my spine when he hit those back-to-back deep AF 3's that were clearly fouls. Just get up yelling at the ref. I've always been a Curry fan, but really wanted that one for the Celtics. But they just started melting after those. So insane to watch in real time

Game 4 would go down as the best moment in the Steph Curry documentary 20 years from now
Yup, that's the game I realized that he would get his 1st ever Finals MVP. Warriors went on to win the last 3 games in a row, and held the Celtics under a 100 points in each game!!!!!!!! 👍

There is a lot of Celtics fans that love curry how is that possible

@@SidelineFilmznow imagine how gsw felt when “3-1” was the most popular comment for like 4 years straight 😂
As a Steph fan, that game 4 was the best in his career imo. One of my reasons is (ppl never mentioned) how Al Horford made "contact" with Steph's ankles TWICE in game 3....knowing it can injure him. & He actually may have been but STILL exploded in game 4 to drive them to the chip. That game 4 is what gave them the momentum to win it all. Def one of my fave basketball games of all time
Game 5 2015 is still my favorite. Game 2 (or 3?) would be the one if they won that game. 17 points in the 4th quarter in both of those and memorable. After the y lost in 2016, the media swore he had no memorable moments in important games, which was blasphemy. They had commercials about those moments. And it was still surprising he didn't win FMVP. Not a soul expected that with how clutch he was every game. About half his points came from the last quarter of every game
Media were having a consensus LeBron wankfrst at that time. They were more focused on how hard Iggy was making LeBron work even though LeBron still averaged like 38/12 and 8, though inefficient.
that game is only memorable to GSW fans and chances are they dont even remember it
MAN, I remember watching this game and yeah: I felt the pressure throughout the game and I knew that if GSW lost this game, it was OVER.
The way Curry showed up in this game was just LEGENDARY-TIER. He was impersonating the word GREATNESS this day. A magnific experience 😭😭😭

U have sense that’s what I said I said he’s top ten all time now after that series he proved he can’t put a team on his back an win that’s all we wanted to see him not choking like the 2016 finals we seen him get destroyed by kyire man I said damn curry but with Kevin I didn’t count that he was the second best player to Kevin
