Absolutely beautiful - thank you for posting! Like many commenters stated, this show gives me faith if not hope in the future of America, may be all is not lost. It is wonderful to see young people acting like "ladies" and "gentlemen", like we were taught in my youth (born 1950). I was fortunate to live the "American Graffiti days" and this presentation brings me back to a time of innocence, freedom, and optimism. Thank you James for this uplifting production - you are our future, may God bless you all! Ciao, L (Veteran)
Found this today because daughter age 13 was asking about the Watusi. Wonderful production, great outfits very 60's took me waay back to then. Excellent choreography, and you all look so dam cute!!! It is now 8 years after recording this and I am sure things have changed for you, but like so many stars of film, you will always have this to look back on and share with your own generations to come. Wait until the smartie says "grandma is just clueless" and you can bring this out and say, "hey, I was funner than you!!!" Kudos to all in front and behind the camera for this.
This is really great! Love this! Please do more!!! I know this is like 7 or 8 years old but this is a great concept! Current "kids" doing dance and skits that look like they're from the 50's or 60's! We need stuff like this!
I’ve seen this video so many times because I love this show. This copy looks like you enhanced it. Beautiful picture. I wish I had all of these shows on DVD. I would pay over 100.00. Thank you so very much who ever is responsible for posting these videos.👍
Definitely a much crisper, better balanced image, certainly nothing like 1960's television! I remember that era's TV well, with it's Black & White transmissions and the TV set's "Fine Turning" knob, to rid the screen of "Snow!" Today's television is as much a curse as it is an upgrade from the 60s!
I've got this on vinyl on the 'Top 10 Hits Original Artists' Wyncote label LP! I kept thinking of one of my first fancies in life, Gillian Bailey - Billie in 'Here Come The Double Deckers!' - watching the girl front and centre with the pony tail.
James, I don't know what you're doing now but it was refreshing to see cute kids dancing instead of the usual content those of us who have cable are forced to endure - freakshows and infomercials!
Please enjoy this new version of the world famous Watusi Dance: Please note: Tusi (Noun)= Swear Matusi (plural) = Multiple Swearing Watusi = Peope Who Swear or like Swearing
0:43 I’m just wondering why girls do that with their hands? Why do they stick them out at their hips. Look at the center girl. She’s doing it. Is there some science or reasoning behind doing it? There’s no wrong answer
Looks like that was a LOT of fun & how cool of them to let y’all take over the studio like that. I don’t mean to be a Debbie Downer, but you realize by now that the dance you were doing was NOT the Watusi right? It was very good and very well rehearsed, but just not the Watusi I’m afraid. 😕
When the news can dent your faith in the human race, this video restores it. I hope six years down the road, all involved are happy and well.
Seriously one of my favorite videos on all of UA-cam
Me too! - I just found this version while looking for the older one
Would not have known this wasn't film from 1964 without being told at the start of the video. Great job! lol
Dìtto!

"We're on camera" is still THE classic line from the video. Fantastic job of converting to HD.
All respect to the guy who kept the cardigan from slipping off his shoulders!
I treasured every second of this!! I hope I can find more of these and share them with all my friends - and even the people I hate. 🥰🥰🥰
Let's do this again in 2024! Everyone can donate a few bucks
This is the BEST dance video on UA-cam! Well done all!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤩🤩🤩💯💯💯💯

All adorable, and love the girl with the big smile.
The "Watusi" by the Orlons got to #2 on the charts in the summer of 1962...a CLASSIC!
It's 2014 here hence the video quality. They dress up for the 1960's song. Great stuff from very talented young folks.
It looks very believable too.
Thanks for putting this up again.
My kind of music in my day. Loved the young folks. Jogged my memory, how to Watusi.🤩
So cute god bless these young kids
Love it!~ u kids are awesome!

Still enjoyable. Nice to see this version.
Loved this
The best of UA-cam!
I did radio show in 1970 reminds me of myself great job One of my favorites

These kids are Great !
love this! Had me fooled!
They got the clothes and hairstyles down to a tee!

This screams for a "where are they now?" follow up.
where are they now?
They definitely got the clothes and hair styles of the early 1960s down pat!
Cool! Have you thought about doing a documentary about this whole experience?
The low-def version actually had me believing it was from the 60's
Same here.
Is their going to be a reunion anytime soon?
So, what happened to the dancer, 7 years later
This remastered video puts a new spin on the legendary KCTU program and dancers. Great job! Have you ever considered doing a reunion show?
Who are they, specifically? When will there be a reunion?
Made me smile.
instead of fox news, msnbc, abc, cnn, cbs and nbc...try this on for some much better, non hate, subjectivity.
that's great!!!!
I'd love to get dance lessons from Caroline!

I wonder if the studio is in the middle of a corn field somewhere in Kansas
The young boy with the glasses, tie, and sweater is always smiling and enjoying his dancing so much. Who is he and whatever happened to him?
I agree. He's the best dancer up there, gets into it, not all stiff like the others.
Cute...good job.
This is cool
what media was this originally recorded on?
Vintage footage!
If you consider 2014 vintage. 😊
@@rockyracoon3233 I was writing for viewers in the 2100s
I found Caroline on FB and sent her a message telling her how much fun her choreographed video was. She blocked me. 😔
Probably sees it as something she doesn't want to be associated with anymore for some reason. How sad.
That was rude of her.
This video is begging to be Memed...! 😲👍
What's the dark girl's name? Everyone name was mentioned but hers. How old were the dancers?
They look like 15/16 year olds.
Sad to think most of the guys in this video died in Vietnam.
This video was done in 2014 if u can believe that.
💀💀😂
This is not American Graffiti,,,. lol

Saturday afternoon Dance Party on WGAL Lancaster pa
I watched the “original” about 10 min ago and was wondering how the “coloured” got in there….
You had color already in the 50s - I mean color movies.
One is the choreographer.
Low budget all right!!! Imagine what these people would pay now to suppress and bury this! ;-0
Looks like that was a LOT of fun & how cool of them to let y’all take over the studio like that.

Fake 1960s show - great modern take-off!
Some of them look authentic in dress and dance. Others stick out as 21st century fakes. Great job though
