Thanks for the video, save the day, bought the tri fold thinking it would work for snow mobile, thought I waisted $150.00, but this is easy an it works, thanks again

You are pretty good at that, I usually run my ski tips into the bed bulkhead before I get it stopped. Good Yooper engineering

Yes, there is a certain feel for it. You want the momentum to get up the ramp, but not too much or you'll go through the back window! KPO

Nice ramps. That machine looks like a lake trout killing machine. Nice setup

I used a 8 inch wide strip of plastic from a discarded truck bed liner. It works great to keep the carbides tracking in the plastic grooves. I actually placed it on the floor of my utility trailer.

Very good ingenuity too bad I didn’t know this when I had my sleds. You’re very handy

I too have the tri-fold ramp but the trouble I seemed to be having was the track slipping and spinning when loading, it didn't seem to be grabbing anything. Although that may have been from the skis having too much resistance against the metal ramp causing the track to slip. I may try the plywood trick for the skis. Thanks

Great design as I like the idea of backing out. I have a similar ramp but came with plastic ski runners you bolt on for snowmobile but have to take off for my ATV as too slippery. I cant back off as the carbides will dig into the ramp "lip" that sits on the tailgate. Eventually I want to make a ramp/deck that stays in the truck.

The design in this video works good, but I have since sold the truck. Not sure if I want to do this to every truck I buy. I might just stick to trailering going forward. Thanks for the comment.

Good day Mr Knetter, I’m about to make a similar ramp mod, I just wanted you to confirm is that a 1/2” plywood sheet on your ramp or 1/4”? Thanks for the great idea 👍🏻

I believe the plywood on the ramp is 1/4 inch, but it really doesn't support any weight on it's own. It's just there to help with wear on the aluminum ramps.

I bought the same ramp and on my first time trying to load my snowmobile I crashed through the ramp and broke the bars

No disrespect my sled brotha, but can't be good for the tailgate. Drilling holes in the bed is a recipe for rust cancer I'd think. Not mention killing any resale value. A trailer maybe?

Everything you mentioned is very true. I have a trailer that works fine for loading and unloading, but there are some negatives for my situation. First it is a pain to keep my trailer out of the snow all winter. I have to move 4 vehicles around already when I plow and shoveling off a trailer and then moving it out of the way is just more work. Second, there are 2 things I like to take my sno mo off property to do, ice fish and to my camp. Both of these adventures can involve very limited parking and turning around in tight spaces. So often times it's just so much easier to put the sled in the back of the truck. Thanks for watching, KPO.
