My boyfriend and I were at our local outlet mall and they played this and we both freaked out because we love this song so much and it’s pretty underrated so we were shocked to hear it out in public. Love from California!!
They have been getting massive traction and good for them. The music is not for me but it's really heartening to see two young musicians from India on their way to making it so big.
As another Indian American Musician, it makes me really happy seeing other Indian musicians channeling music reminiscent of Fleet Foxes,Angus and Julia Stone, etc. so expertly. Parekh & Singh are definitely the trailblazers of India's new Americana/Folk/Indie scene and I wish them the best! Love
Rudra Biswas yea right as if honey Singh and dhinchak Pooja are the only sources of music in India. God how pretensious can you people be. Listen to ar Rahman duh
[Verse 1: Parekh] Monday comes slowly, I feel a bit outta touch With all this daily heartache, it hurts me so much I cannot help it if I am hard to love There's things about me that you don't know I don't like actin' tough You can be serious, and I can be mysterious Share my feelings everyday, but you'll just smile at me and say [Chorus: Parekh] I love you baby, and I love you doll Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all I love you baby, and I love you doll [Verse 2: Parekh] Tuesday comes gently, I feel a little blue I used to shine in deep bright web, when I was with you Now everything changed, only, I stayed the same All my blue skies turned to gray, and all my flowers turned away You can be serious, and I can be mysterious Share your feelings everyday, but I'll just smile at you and say [Chorus: Parekh] I love you baby, and I love you doll Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all I love you baby and I love you doll
It's too hard to stay awake So I will just dream away my day Well I am not the kinda guy that you fall in love with Not the kinda guy that you share your heart with I'll just smile at you and say I love you baby, and I love you doll Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all I love you baby and I love you doll Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all I love you baby, and I love you doll I love you baby and I love you doll Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all I love you baby, and I love you doll
@devajani Borah In the sense he started out as an Indian independent artist. He really did. Back till 2011/12 not many people outside the indie music circles knew him. He was picked up for management by OML in 12/13 and only blew up with his PR by Little Big Noise + amaze execution and promotion by his manager Tej at OML when he released the Koocha Monster EP in 2013. He was indie till 2014 where one started hearing his music very organically spread to the mainstream and by 2015's Bass Rani, he just blew up mad. So yeah, man.
If anyone's wondering, the location is Mahishadal Rajbari(palace) in Geonkhali. South of West Bengal. I've been there and let me tell you, sitting there in these rooms and listening to this song is an out of the world experience. Good job guys! Lots of love. ❤
I’ve just spent half an hour searching for this song because it was a really vague memory from a while ago when an ex showed it to me. I remember loving the song and I suddenly just remembered the song. Glad to have found it again!!
Yep! The cinematography, colour, and even some of the content is very similar to Wes Anderson's work. Anderson likes symmetry, handwritten notes, tracking shots (camera smoothly following people), strong use of colour... I could go on but search for The Cinematography of Robert Yeoman (Wes Anderson's DoP) and The Grand Budapest Hotel | Visual Analysis on youtube and you'll get a great explanation. :D
I don't know why the music and the presentation is so soothing but so hauntingly heartbreaking at the same time. There is a deep sense of melancholy to it whether intentional or not I do not really know, but it just...kind of breaks my heart. Well, I am not even making sense any more. But this is way too cool to get less than a million views. So beautiful!
feels like i was listening to the beatles !! your sound just took me back ... loved every tiny bit of the audio/video..everything is perfect to the bar
just praise the good work they put in their songs, musical arrangement end everything. the vocal, the guitar plucking and the slow beating of drums, why you all mutter about the video that is so matching with the lyrics and songs. Good work P&S, you deserve a star..keep on shining.
Devanuj Baruah try making your point at a place where people are actually gonna give a shit, and your best shot at eradicating your irrelevance is finding an alternate reality. Oops, flashpoint.
Great stuff Nischay & Jivraj. Its been a while since I heard an artist from India who can actually compose good catchy tunes. Keep on writing as much as you can, build on this and to take it to the next level. Do not listen to what these bozos out here or anywhere say about your music. All the best and avoid drugs.
Oh my goshie!! I get chills with these videos and this band! I never ever love a group this way! I can't! I'm obsessed sheesh!!! India indie!!! I'm so alive now!!!
Happy to see stuff like this which is actually good and not overhyped BS including some Indian indie stuff which is pushed by money. Excellent video and beautiful song.
Never heard an audio that starts with an unbalanced panning and still sounds good. Nobody would dare to pan the lead vocal out of center in the beginning of the song! That was a really impressive trick.
I feel so blessed to have discovered this. Thank you AR Rahman as he asked to check out Prateek Kuhad and ever since then, I've been falling in love with Indian indie.
I'm happy and sad at the same time. I'm happy bcoz I've found such a great Indian pop duo and sad bcoz I've reached this channel after watching a K-pop star reacting to them. I feel pained by the fact that being a Bengali who lives in Kolkata wasn't aware of the talent who are also from Kolkata. But better late than never now I'm gonna support this channel as much as possible.
Hey Parekh and Singh! I used this song to confess my feelings for my friend, and it went over perfectly. Thanks for making great music and keep up the great work!!
I feel bad that I didn't know about you two earlier. I came here after reading a post about you on Quora, and now I'm in love with THIS! This is such a beautiful song. The lovely voice, the place, the colours, the music, the coats, ( :P ) the look on your faces, and everything about this gives such happy vibes. ♥ I wish I could like it multiple times :)
The amount of work and creativity that's gone into making this video deserves a lot of appreciation.
becks7 seems they are Wes Anderson fans!!
haha yeah... Totally..color, camera movements everything was so Anderson like
Yeah, definitely inspired by Wes Anderson
TheKamrenB OMG yasss

How did I come from Korean lofi/hiphop to Indian Indie? No clue. But glad.
@restin' mattress checkmate

Man... Same thing happened to me... But not dissapointed tho💗
Cool. Color grading reminds me of 'The Grand Budapest hotel'.

Moonrise Kingdom by Wes Anderson again.

Phoenicx Z what stereotype?
yeash
As an Indian guy I feel so happy that they’re breaking the stereotypes. I love their music and I’ll definitely be following them.
underrated.underrated.underrated af.
Oh wow hi Eesha
They have been getting massive traction and good for them. The music is not for me but it's really heartening to see two young musicians from India on their way to making it so big.
+Shaan Ghosh they played this at a wedding, that's how famous it's got😂😂
I want it to remain underrated. Don't want them to become just another mainstream & overplayed band. :c
i hope it remains underrated
That feeling when your school senior you respect so much made it big. LOVE YOU PAREKH AND SINGH!!!
Such pleasing colours and a soothing track to go with it. Waiting for more!

after going back and watching it I laughed so hard that i woke up my neighbors!
Oh that;s just the average Indian stare.
Love you India, this is beautiful !!
Love
These angels have come to save India from honey Singh and dhinchak puja !!
Rudra Biswas yea right as if honey Singh and dhinchak Pooja are the only sources of music in India. God how pretensious can you people be. Listen to ar Rahman duh
Tashi Lhamu just joking......yeah big fan of ARR
Rudra Biswas good. There are good music directors in India especially the south which is free of the pretensiousness of the north east and west.
Tashi Lhamu yeah very true ....like illayaraja ,m.ghibran,d.imman, and the list goes on
😂😂😂😂
*Needs to be in a commercial, and it'll blow up*
Right said Syd

Me too! This music is so up my street. Honestly, so thankful I’ve found these guys.
This had a $5000 (USD) budget?! This is so beautiful 😍❤
It's pure art .
This some Wes Anderson shit. SO good!
I thought of the EXACT same thing while watching this. :D
He actually saw the video and emailed the director about it!
It's Photoshop'd
For you.
You're right though, reminds me of Wes Anderson. Good song.
UnbakedMango a lot of wit for an unbaked mango..
[Verse 1: Parekh]
Monday comes slowly, I feel a bit outta touch
With all this daily heartache, it hurts me so much
I cannot help it if I am hard to love
There's things about me that you don't know
I don't like actin' tough
You can be serious, and I can be mysterious

I love you baby, and I love you doll
Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all
I love you baby, and I love you doll

I used to shine in deep bright web, when I was with you
Now everything changed, only, I stayed the same
All my blue skies turned to gray, and all my flowers turned away

I love you baby, and I love you doll
Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all
I love you baby and I love you doll
It's too hard to stay awake
So I will just dream away my day
Well I am not the kinda guy that you fall in love with
Not the kinda guy that you share your heart with
I'll just smile at you and say
I love you baby, and I love you doll
Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all
I love you baby and I love you doll
Times they get tough but my heart won't change at all

You guys are famous, this song is being played on our cruise ship at least twice a day! Keep it up guys, Love from Kolkata!
Pop music of the 21st century has to be something special to get the thumbs-up from an old hippy like me. But this does. Love it!
Most under-rated video on UA-cam. Sorry guys, hope some day your efforts will be paid off.

Thanks
I thought Indian indie was extinct. Thanks for proving that wrong. Good to hear refreshing music after a long time
Cannot get this out of my head! So good.
You guys've invented a whole new GENRE of music - there's not many people who can say that. Hats off, you two!! 😄
For so long I thought that there was something wrong with my headphones

This is like a Wes Anderson/Stanley Kubrick style music video. The song is fresh and clean too. Great work
That Wes Anderson vibe though. Loved the effort these guys put in their music videos.
Fantastic vision. Great sound. In before 1 million subs.
