I love my CR-Z, all that you mention was rattling in my head before I bought mine new in 2015. Still love the thing, it's just so weird and unique. I love my rear seat cubbies btw. I also came from an RSX, they have a lot in common. A K20 in the CRZ would rule.
A lot of people i feel are in the same boat as me before buying a crz...It gets a lot of hate for no reason and you just have to own it to truly understand it. Hope you enjoyed the video man💪
My CRZ has been with me for more than ten years, it is so inexpensively maintained. I changed and added a number of items to it, so I still feel it as if it is still a new car.
im older now and just a cruiser, i have really enjoyed the auto for just basic running around town, plus it gets a lot better mg then the manual . i did not know there were aluminum door handles, that is good to know im glad the crz does well even at -50f temps . thank goodness for remote starts too . i want your winters lol
I can see why some would prefer the automatic. Just in this case these autos have some of the worst issues an auto could have. Not serviceable by almost anyone and no parts available to service them with. That's what scares me when it comes to the longevity of these
6 Manual gear shifter is incomparable to sportive drive ! But CVT is more confortable in the city, CVT or 6 Manual is not a big deal, the most important thing is that it's a HONDA CR-Z ZF2!
You are like the only person in the usa to review a crz so can you show us the traction on and off in the cvt and show us if there's any difference? Also a 0 - 60 with the manual paddle shifters would be great for us to see and the infamous L (low gear mode) nobody has done that yet!
Fellow WI CRZ owner, had my 14 CVT for about 2 years now. I agree, the jerkiness is annoying and I worry about the longevity of it. Ive gotten used to the visibility, sitting higher helps and I have a Spoon wide angle rear view mirror that helps imo. Side mirrors are set where i cant see the body unless I lean back a bit. I get well above 40mpg average during the summer tho, but most of my driving is in the city, typically where hybrids shine.
I always liked the looks of the ZF1 interior but the black is much more livable. I wanna say the non-EX cars had all black while EX had the red accents, but I could be wrong.
Hell yeah man what's up fellow wisconsinite. Where in Wisconsin? The CVT even stock doesn't handle the power well which is the main reason I bought a manual. Not trying to get stuck with that
@@illusiversx hell yeah! SE, Milwaukee area. But yeah I sometimes wish I had waited to find a manual, but it's my daily so I generally don't mind the "ease" of it. Sometimes it's smooth, but it's usually in traffic when the jerkiness comes to play lol.
I can see how a lot of people like it but with these being so prone for problems I almost wouldn't wanna keep it even if I liked it. Personally just a manual lover so that was my excuse to buy a manual crz😂
I completely understand, there are times when i’m slinging my car around and i’m just like “yeah i wish this was a 6-speed”. It also helps to keep up with CVT fluid changes, these can get really rowdy on old fluid.
Are you in Europe? Because I'm pretty sure it's illegal to have passengers in the back in the US. Not saying you couldn't just don't know the fines. Also don't know the safety of having a kid in the back with the cubbies having no rear seatbelts, I'm sure it's fine but then again it's your kid your life do what you want but glad it's useful for you.
@@illusiversx yes in Europe. I got another car used some family car off course (cr-z it's my daily) ,but sometimes it's necessary and I can do it .Europen got seat belts and isofix also. Don't need 3rd car. No it's not useful 🤣🤣
With the back seats it would be awesome to strap a kid in that's useful but I still don't get why the US couldn't at least have functioning back seats for a car seat
@@illusiversx no one in honda is in a hurry to be in court with oversize who's bought 4seats crz and cannot to drive it with family😉 or any other presedent. It it's possible? Different counrty different law. I guess
I did say in the video there are more pros than cons...everything even if you like it or not has cons. I just wanted to be honest in this video as I do love my crz and I don't want to be too biased for people who might not get the real opinion on these cars. If you want to hear my good opinions on the crz your welcome to check out my recent crz video I just made I will link below. Sorry it came across this way as that was not the intention of the video
I mean everyone likes what they like. I was thinking about getting a new accord before looking into the crz. Personally I like being a little different and having something not everyone has or knows about.
Litterally said in the video I was nitpicking to find the cons that I would be making an everything I love video soon after this. I like these cars and like i said it's everything I don't like...

I agree man this car definitely hasn't aged a bit. Appreciate you watching the video man👌
Takes me 3-4 seconds to change lanes because of how many times I have to check cuz i aint see shit. gonna buy a bigger mirror for sure
Bigger mirrors on the 13+ definitely help but still not comfortable enough just checking my mirrors.
Love driving my CRZ. It’s a one of the kind vehicle
Absolutely
UNICORN!

Glad you enjoyed and got something out of it! Happy to help🤟

Personally I'll never prefer the auto option on any car unless it's the only option. Manual is just my preferred option

I can try and do all that although ive never heard of low gear mode.
@@illusiversx ok thank you! It actives when you hold down both paddle shifters.

I'll be joining the WI CRZ club soon as well. 🫡
Love my CVT here. Once I learned the limits of it (which are not very far) I’ve really grown to appreciate it

I agree. I feel like a lot of people neglect the trans fluid on these but ik I changed mine right when I got it
Back seat are great , my daughter not complain . She's 2.5 🤪, but We can drive 3or4 if We need to and this is nice. 👍
Try honda s660

@@illusiversx all good bro keep it up and keep posting your video, it’s very informative
I think your air vents might be broken dude lmfaoooo
Lmao that would make sense as it seemed like the dumbest design ever if it was the case
Mine are not the best compared to my previous Toyota auris, but with some patience I'm able to aim them at me😂
I think I've come down to the fact that mine are broken🤣
personally I would get a civic or a accord over a CR-Z imo
