Marshall is an interesting dude; he’s been open about mental health stuff, very intelligent and a really really good receiver.
Just wish Brandon would have stopped taking shots at Cutler when he left Bears ! Cutler had his back yet Brandon took shots at Cutler for no reason.
The two Super Bowls the giants won has fooled a lot of fans into thinking the giants know how to build a consistent winner which they haven’t had since the 80’s n 90’s
Going back to the 80s the NYG have won a SB in every decade, no one else can say that. It’s about championships, they don’t hand out trophies for consistency. The reality about the game today is getting the QB position right. I love Barkley, but they bypassed Josh Allen to draft him, which set the franchise back years. Marshall seems like a nice enough guy, but what does he know about winning? He’s been a distraction throughout his career.
@@jaycepero8069 Yeah but in the 80’s n early 90’s you guys were in the mix and it’s easier to project how you can win superbowls when you have consistency than it is hoping you catch lightning in a bottle.
@@jaycepero8069 no they haven't
Tom coughlin deserves a lot of respect though. He did look outdated by his last giants days but his general strategy of build a strong front 7, get big running backs and receivers, and a QB who is too stupid to fail, is a proven winning concept. That strategy worked at the giants and the Jaguars before the khans scapegoated him
2 Super Bowls in 3 years isn’t normal haha
Marshall said what McDaniels mentioned in his press conference for the Raiders. He said he knew football but he didn’t know people. If his self awareness is as good as advertised, Raiders are in great hands 🙌🏽
Ehhhhhhhh idk Fam...looks like another failed Patroits Experiment(they also got a Patroit Guy to be the GM)

I instinctively knew that about McDaniels just by looking at him and hearing him talk. He comes off as an introvert. He needs to get some alpha in him and lead men (the Raiders)- not just come up with great schemes. .
I know Brandon Marshall didn't start out as a Bear, but he has always been one of my favorite Bears players.
Really didn’t expect this to be as good as it was, awesome stuff from Brandon

The Bears with Marshall and Jeffrey were pretty dope. We didn't win much but I liked those guys

Him and Alshon Jeffrey will always be legends to me. Loved watching them play when I was younger.

That discussion could have been talking about any business that is struggling. Fantastic interview.
If culture matters, what is the foundation of American culture?

Yeah so support his podcast too I am athlete podcast
As a Giants fan, Marshall is 💯% correct about the Giants organization. Ole school mentality. Won't evolve.
Got rid of OBJ for a Popeye's chicken sandwich.
Racism isn’t just old school it’s the American way.
Same with the Bears. They’ll never be good until someone who knows football steps in and takes leadership.
Then the Browns did the same thing
@@Tyee234 yeah its hard for dark ones to get ahead in the 80% black nfl.
@@dylanb4494 what is dark ones? Who are the front office guys? Who are the coaches? Who are the gms? The key word in this statement you left out was players 80 percent of players. See you lie by omission and that changes the context. Why does the truth hurt your feelings so bad? If there is no racism why institute a Rooney rule?
So glad to have a young owner. Steve Bisciotti has the second best win percentage of any active owner (behind only Kraft). Everyone who plays for the ravens has only good things to say about the organization. They may not always have the best record, but they win (a lot) more than they lose and players love playing in Baltimore.
I agree 100%. So many teams would kill to be like the Ravens with the incredible stability they have.
Jets fan here, always loyal to my shitty squad, but I’ve always loved the Ravens. Since the year 2000 they have always been in the mix of teams that can WIN. I think Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs deserve a lot of credit for creating that culture in the locker room like B-Marsh was saying. Harbaugh deserves a lot of credit too, but damn, I thought Baltimore was a playoff team for sure this season. They just need to build around Lamar and they’ll be contenders.
@@SurgingChaos19 yeah every year the Ravens seem to be in the mix, and they already have two super bowl wins in their 25 year existence

@@hugh-jasole Now. How in hell do you know that. Are you racist behind closed doors?

@@dm1972 I'm mean, let's just ignore he was the only coach to take them to the Superbowl in 2 or 3 decades...yeah, let's just ignore that.
Yea, Lovie got them to the SB but he ridiculously failed by being so hard headed with sticking with Rex. Rex was obviously gonna blow any chance they had, the team was far better off with a game manager Brian Griese. He at least wouldn’t kill you in the biggest game since 85.
Lovie also failed time and time again I finding an offensive coordinator. It’s like he didn’t even bother to do even some basic homework in finding an up and coming guy.
His continued failures on offense is why he got fired. He’s still the only decent coach since Ditka, had a great culture, and deserves credit at least in getting them to the SB.

The Packers continued on as a mom n pop after Lombardi left. The NFL boomed in the 1970s and 80s and the packers were left behind.
It wasnt until Bob Harlan had the foresight to not let the board of directors (remember, no owner in GB) have so much influence and hired Ron Wolf (a football purist) to run all the football stuff.
And have Been getting saved through having two superstar QBs back to back to keep them fighting and also being in a conference with the Bears and Lions In a perpetual state of rebuilding
@@Argos-xb8ek Ron wolf saw something in Favre and gave up a first round pick for a 3rd string QB. Had hired Holmgren to groom someone like Favre. Ted Thompson took the same approach with Rodgers. Its not all luck.
But, great QB play helps.
Yeah Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers had nothing to do with it. A lot of luck there IMO. Packers gonna be garbage without a superstar QB. Tick tock tick tock
This something I've always been interested in so who votes on the board in green bay is the property owners?
@@GraveVibrations I know you want all packers fans to cry, but most have accepted that this has to happen and a few bad years could likely be ahead as they retool the roster, transition to a new QB and a new way of operating on offense, while continuing to build the defense.
We all know if Rodgers doesnt come back in 2022 that its likely a losing season. Even 2023. But this idea that its 30 years of hell now that a HOF QB likely isnt showing up and the Packers organization will all of sudden forget how to competently put a team together is laughable. (Factor in the potential haul of picks for Rodgers and possibly picking in the top 10 in 2023 of a QB rich draft)
The current way of relying on a generational QB in a spread offense in the upper midwest just isnt getting the packers over the hump. Rodgers is near 40. More packer fans are ready to move on than you think.
Imagine if he played his whole career with a Brady, Manning or Roethlisberger.
He’s going to be in the Hall of Fame eventually but if B-Marsh played with either one of those 3 in their prime. Hell either prime Manning; he’s a first ballot HOF

He'd have +4 rings
Yeah why did the Bears get rid of Lovie Smith after the 2012 NFL Season and can someone explain why they collapsed after starting 6-2?
Front office started to get away from bears football. No depth on d and spent money on offense to change the way the bears played. Injuries caught up and lack of depth showed itself. Defensive captains were all older and on their way out. Basically the wrong focus on what would make the team successful
@@andreearl3258 First Year with Trestman was a explosive offense even with Bad O Line but Cutler was able to overcome it . Problem was defense sucked because of Urlacher not being with Bears and Briggs out of shape and over weight and backstabber to Trestman and defense coordinator Mel Tucker was one of the worse d-coordinators ever for the bears. Had No clue how to coach defense. If Phil Emery would have kept Urlacher they would have had won 1-2 more games and been in playoffs. I never seen Bears Offense dominate so much even with horrible tackles 2012-2013 . Cutler, Forte, Marshall, Jeffries and Bennett(when was not complaining) was dominating and Cutler was slicing up defense when He wasn't getting sacked on passing plays. Phil Emery also was in process of switching to 3 4 defense but was forced to stay with cover 2 defense that Lovie ran. Bears should have let Phil runs things instead of cutting his legs from underneath him too.
@@ronjepperson3457 yes the front office didn't do a good job of having depth for those vets on defense to be replaced and that was definitely the Achilles heal.. I don't know if I can agree with that on emery because part of building the team is understanding the strengths of everyone including coaching. We had a blueprint with lovie and got away from that to focus on offense. He also hired Mel tucker and the defense will always be the bears strength so I don't see any winning if that's not right
@@ronjepperson3457 that’s was the first year I started watching football in 5th game I remember every game that year, from cinicnatti to green bag and everything in between, the defense that year was so trash but I didn’t even know bc it was my first year😂
@@andreearl3258 Hi Andre, Phil was forced to keep Tampa 2 Defense and only Coach available to run it was Mel Tucker. Bad Choice Yes but only choice at time. Rod Marinelli would only stay if Bruce Arians was coach now found out. Phil would have had a Bears in playoffs every year if they gave him time but Pretty Boy (Virginia's Hire) took over and tore apart offense. I pray New GM doesn't follow what Pace did ? He has already said looking at 3rd and 4th tier free agents to sign. Don't fix your cap problem? then sign Great Players to go with 3rd and 4th tier players. How does LA Rams and Tampa Bay get great players because they know how to manipulate the cap and cheat if they don't get caught. They are the SF 49er's where they was able to sign anyone available and win super bowls but eventually after Montana and Young and Rice left it all caught up to Carmen Policy and his cheating. History repeats itself ! Bears need alot of help but cap has to be priority when don't have a 40 million dollar QB yet can't control the cap ? Also try to move up and Draft Safety from Notre Dame. He takes no prisoners when tackling opponents ! Need a Mean Safety to scare receivers plus he can be a Safety/LB Hybrid just like Urlacher when he came out of New Mexico .

@@Illtechnica i talked with a former bengals player back in like 2009 who explained that no camera crews ever came to the facilities except for game days cuz it was so difficult to set up a shot without getting somebody naked in the frame. The owners didn’t pay for any toiletries or towels, and ur only private space as a player was your locker so you had to leave it in there and the showers were down the hall so you’d have butt nekkid people running all over the place.
