As a Chiefs fan, we don’t claim them. Jackson is SUPER ENTITLED. I work at this boojee ass bbq spot one night at week at the plaza and he always feels too entitled to acknowledge his waiter, always on his phone, doesn’t smile and parked in a no park zone in front of the restaurant expecting valet when we clearly never did that the last million times he’s came. I served Mahomes on the day he signed his rookie contract, he was with a few other people including Brittany. No one acknowledged me except Patrick when I asked how everyone was doing. Brittany acts super annoyed EVERYTIME someone wants to take a picture with him. She feels entitled for all the fame and money, but doesn’t want to deal with the backlash and extra shit that comes with it. We in KC DO NOT CLAIM THEM.

I was a pretty bad alcoholic from age 18-24. Came to a crossroads 5 years ago and stopped altogether. I have no problem being around others while they drink, or even buying beer/wine whatever for guests. My biggest fear when getting sober was being the guy you had to be careful around.
That being said, I would be pretty damn mad if I got randomly sprayed with champagne. I have no fear that I’d start drinking again, but I shouldn’t have to deal with that.
I'm 24 and been an alcoholic since about 16. Been to the emergency room three times and rehab for 83 days. Got back November 1st and did great but back at it. Hangovers and all of that. Real disappointed in myself to say the LEAST. Lot of tears.. I just can't stop. I mean shit I was throwing up this morning and am sipping a pint rn. I just can't stop.

Once they drafted Mahomes and actually started winning games as well as the superbowl that's when the Chiefs were in the spotlight. At first people were happy for them until a whole bunch of cocky bandwagon fans became apart of our fan base and the media started hyping them up. Hotel staff actually created a barrier so she could get on the elevator, and no one even made an attempt to get near them.

I moved to a suburb of Atlanta back in 1993. Worked at a diner where the store manager had season tickets to the Braves. He came in all depressed one day. Finally got him to talk and it was a sad story.
The previous night he had taken his family to a Braves game as usual. After the game, as they were stuck in traffic for over an hour trying to exit the stadium, his kids suddenly went nuts. They had spotted Deon Sanders driving home in a nice car and they were waving furiously, yelling they loved him, etc.
Then they watched him start knocking back beers. He killed a 6 pack in about 30 minutes. And this from a guy who was doing Mothers Against Drunk Drivers promotions.
Obviously, his kids had questions that their daddy didnt want to answer.

Living in kc and watching this unfold… when we drafted Patrick they intentionally benched him the first year , Alex smith groomed , Andy Reid sculpted , all in attempts to protect him from the elements of the NFL. In one season his family has blackened both eyes of his image.
