The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Yalon is a selfless, caring woman who loves to help others. Over the years, she has invited people experiencing hard times to live with her while they get back on their feet.
Her husband, Mark, is from England and they have three sons. They have had many setbacks over the years but have always kept a positive attitude.
A few months ago, Mark became sick and was diagnosed with stomach cancer. His health faded fast and he passed away on Oct. 15.
Mark made sure to keep Yalon's old car working so she could commute from Pocatello to Idaho Falls for her job. Now she is left to raise three kids with an unreliable vehicle.
Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to visit Yalon with an early Christmas gift. Watch the video above to see the surprise! - Розваги

Ugh, these things mess with my emotions so badly. I feel horrible for their situations and I just want to hug these people but I feel so happy for them at the same time for the gifts secret Santa gives them. This world can be cruel but people like this lady and secret Santa make it worth living in.

Never a more deserving person than Yalon. She does so much for so many.
We worked in the potato harvest together 40 years ago, went out once to Rigby's Harvest dance, reconnected through FB & then rekindled a real, deep friendship a few years ago.
She's been such a blessing in my family's life. My wife & Yalon have become cherished friends. I can never thank her enough for the good she's brought into our life & to the Iddaho Falls community. Didn't know this had happened until my wife spent the morning visiting with her.
We love you Yalon. You are such a blessing!

As a young widow myself who buried half my family a week before Christmas 2013, I can’t express how grateful I am to Nate helping out recent widows going through their worse nightmare. It makes me ugly cry every time. 😪
And to those recently widowed out there, the pain never truly goes away, but one day the excruciating turmoil and shock you are experiencing will subside, replacing it with a dull, deep ache. Widows fog is a real thing and lasts about a year. Best advice I can give, those first few weeks treat yourself like a patient in the ICU. The trauma of grief/loss effects every part of you, so take care of yourself and take any help that’s offered. You will get through these difficult days and will truly become indestructible from it all! ❤️

Thank you for those insightful words of wisdom from someone that has experienced the heart ache of loss. It wasn't meant to be this way to experience death. I praise God that His Son Jesus defeated death and will one day restore us back to what we should have been all along. Praying for you and may we all look up because our redemption is truly drawing near. We are almost home. Just a pilgrim and a stranger on the journey to our eternal home. Keep getting up.

Again. He did it. A deserving mother who lost her better half, her soul mate. My sister just lost her husband to cancer. So I pretty much know that her heart is in pieces.

Marie, I remember as a small little girl in the 1970’s, our family of seven could live a very nice, middle class existence in a nice town (and own a home) with one income - no problem. Sadly, our country has been (deliberately) mis-managed and run into the ground for decades. All of the politicians and very wealthy dynasty families (think Rothchilds, etc.) like it this way - more power for them, and the “news” media (other than Nate at EIN) continues to separate us from one another because THEY win and WE lose. Power to the ordinary, hard-working people must be restored.
I have loved this show since the new secret Santa. He taught me that one of the oldest sayings is dead wrong. The saying that money. Can not buy happyness. I see now that they have found that it can but u have to give it away to those that need it. Santa must be happy and even Nate is happy and those that receive this love gift are happy.god bless be all those involved in this.

What a darling picture at the end of her, her kids, and her brother-in law; also glad they displayed a picture of her handsome husband. He is watching over all of them now and in a better place.
Unless you've lost a loved one, one would never know the pain, agony and loss. Nothing makes sense and you feel completely empty, bereft of all feelings. And it takes years to get back to your usual self. All one needs then is a comforting word and a little helping hand! Thank YOU once again Secret Santa!

I swear if Nate and East Idaho news ever part ways, you have to bring this man back for these videos. I firmly believe no one else could even come close to doing it so gracefully.
Hes a class act. Very empathic and gentle with people, it's a news segment so obviously they want to film it but it never feels like they're hounding people for a reaction. He gives people time to process what's happening, but if he senses them becoming uncomfortable or too emotional he backs off and let's them calm down. Nate if you can see this you're a good dude. Thank you Secret Santa for caring I know the stress only to well as I lost my husband to cancer 7weeks after being diagnosed I can't imagine having financial stress ontop of the shock of lossing a loved one.

These people have no idea how much they inspire us. Yes it’s awkward having Nate come to your door and ask about your personal life. Then accepting a very generous gift in front of America. But these people are what all of us embody at some point or another in our lives. Everyone has hard times. That’s why we all can relate. My heart goes out to this family and I just wish these people could know how much hope they give all of us to keep going and be good people no matter what. It doesn’t mean we are shooting for a secret Santa gift. Just that we try and try and never give up!

Nate was absolutely born to do this. Even when it’s awkward m he manages to pull out of it. Our hearts are with you in this awful period of your life having lost your husband. I bet it is wonderful to live in a community like you do in times like this.
I am beginning to see a trend. Al these people that are so kind are the ones that get delt a rotten hand in life. There must be a place in heaven for them.

So sorry hun for the loss of your husband. So glad to know somebody lightened your load. I lost mine too and there's not a day that passes without me missing his sweetness. Wish I could tell him just one more time how much I love him and how he made my life complete and gave me such Joy and two beautiful children. I became a widow at 28 years old now I'm 57 and still single which has been a wonderful life I raised our three children now I have 4 grandchildren I thank God everyday for all the losses and blessings he gives me my husband is safe with Jesus. God bless all of you 🙏

Maybe one day I can do something small for the holidays to someone or a family. I told my mom I lost sept 1st this year that I would do something. When that day comes I will do it! My mom will be a part of it. I have helped when I could. Forgave 300 dollar loans for a coworker. I want to pay it forward to feel that love! Great person to do so much!

I’m from the UK and look forward to these Secret Santa videos every year. They shine a beautiful light on the communities in East Idaho and the selfless and caring people that live there. It also makes me thankful of our NHS here in the UK. People take for granted that they have access to free hearing aids, special customised shoes if you have problems with your feet, free medication or a small fee if you have to pay, and the rest…The man responsible for showering these people in need with love, is an amazing human being. Nate also does an amazing job and is so sympathetic. East Idaho, Keep looking after each other it’s a beautiful thing.

I can relate to her emotions. I lost my husband twenty years ago and became ill two years after and had cervical surgery and was without a car after it was repoed to get to doctors and almost died after a stimulator implant got infected. I was just like this woman on the edge of tears. I moved 2000 miles back home and I avoid driving y car because I’ve put over $6000 into fixing my car so I can do relate to everything she’s feeling. Nate to be honest I some times have to not watch these videos because I cry watching the hood you do for so many people. I started watching you after the Lori Vallow murdered her children that was a story I was heart broken over. How can anyone kill their own children I will never understand it. Thank hid there are wonderful people like you in the world. I hope the secret Santa finds a wonderful gift for you because you really deserve it.
