Father who survived ATV crash left speechless after receiving gift from a Secret Santa

The EastIdahoNews.com team is busy this holiday season helping a local man gift $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to bless as many individuals in our community as he can.
Sean works as a hunting guide for four months every fall. His job pays the majority of their bills for the year, so it is a huge deal for his wife, Neva, and their son.
He returned to work in August and during his first week back, Sean was in an ATV rollover accident. He broke both bones in his lower left leg and was hospitalized for over a week. He later had a second surgery where doctors put in a large metal plate with nine pins to hold his bones together. He cannot put any weight on his leg for the first three months of recovery and will need another three months in physical therapy.
Because of the crash, Sean has been unable to work and their income has dwindled. Neva, who is homeschooling their son, has been caring for her husband constantly so is limited on taking a job.
A Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News team if we could pay Sean and Neva a visit with some early Christmas gifts. Watch the video above to see the surprise!
Well, now he can put his worrying aside and use that energy to heal. SS you nailed that one with the perfect gifts. As us Brits would say... Splendid Job.

It’s different here though because we have free healthcare and a different benefit system. People get bread on free prescriptions here in the UK if they need gluten free. An epipen in the US costs around $670+ where we only pay £9. We also have access to things like special shoes if you have issues with your feet or hearing aids. Also, it’s not the news channel responsible for this really, it’s the amazing man who donated between 500k and 1,000,000 for years to be distributed to people in need. I’ve watched Nate do Secret Santa for years and I look forward to it every year. I would love to see someone in the UK do something similar. It also sheds light on the beautiful communities in East Idaho and selfless and caring people who live there. Well done to all!

It's a wonderful venture each year and so heartwarming. We are very lucky in the UK for many things like free healthcare, but what strikes me with east Idaho families is the sense of community and the notion of service to others. Well done, Nate and team!

Sometimes you just need a leg up... literally. Gunner looks like a great kid, that comes from the teachings of great parents. Take a breather and leave your worries behind, now he can concentrate on his healing. Merry Christmas and all the best to this wonderful family.
Wow getting the rent paid for a year. It will give this family time to get back on their feet. I see alot of myself in the way he reacts at the end. Its not that we dont appreciate the gift but expressing the overwhelming feelings can be hard. But trust me we are cheering and crying inside.
I'd love to meet Secret Santa.
He or she has to be one remarkable human being to spread this good cheer the way he does.
And I'd love to be Nate handing out the good cheer. It's got to be one of the most happy-making jobs on earth.

So wonderful! I hope he heals in time for lineman school! Not sure the family would see this but Dr. Baker in Idaho Falls has a mild hyperbaric chamber that has helped me heal so much faster and better after joint surgery. Prayers up for this family. Big thank you to secret Santa!

Sean/Shaun/Shawn (not sure how to spell it): Stands straight up and leans back a bit.
It's almost like Secret Santa took a 1000 pound weight off his back.
His next move is that he bows his head a bit. Read into that what you like. To me, he's overcome in humility as he realizes the gift he has been given.
All of this makes me think of the true Santa, who paid the price for my sins...something I could not pay on my own. The weight is taken off of my back and I bow my head in reverent gratitude for my Savior.

All I can say is God bless you secret Santa. Tears just flowing. I know this is such a blessing for this family. Times are hard enough but to have the extra burden I know was weighing them down. Hopefully now he can concentrate on getting well.

I stumbled upon secret santa/East Idaho News 3 years ago and since then I have watched every single video, I gives me joy & hope for the world, and inspiration to, in my own little way, give back to the community.
When dad sees the rent is paid for the year, that stress just flew out the door. You can see it in his eyes. He can focus on getting better, the right way and not in a hurry. I pray that he will be well soon.

Wow! I know how he feels! I broke the same thing, tibial plateau, 14 months ago - I had just retired 3wks before my accident. 4 surgeries later, 8 months of PT, going from wheelchair to walker to crutches to a cane, I can walk, unassisted but with a noticeable limp. I’m scheduled to get a knee replacement Dec or Jan. What a wonderful thing for secret Santa to do for this family. Wishing you all the best in your recovery! ❤️

This secret santa understands the REAL spirit of giving or doing for others. He does it anonymously and without wanting recognition. He does it because he wants to help and he doesn't want any of these people to feel like they are in debt to him. Well done whoever you are. If you don't believe in angels on earth, you should.

That Dad looked so relieved, like a huge bolder had been taken off of his chest. My husband broke his foot years ago and he was our provider, I was a stay at home mom at the time with 3 children. Over a year he was down and I had no way to pay the rent myself. Thankfully we had family able to help, but I know how stressful that can be. I couldn't imagine not having my family's help! What SS did for him will be life changing because they won't be in soooo much debt after he is healed. Catch up won't be near as hard!
