I know a lot of us are guitarists, but my goodness, powerful performances are what we’re meant to support and make happen. We’re not just here for solos. 🤷♂️
Your channel is great. Love the analysis supported with your geniune love of the music, the melody and how its constructed for musicians to understand. Keep it up. Live music is where its at.
Hmmmm all I can say is that you're amazing to watch. I don't play guitar but I feel like I leave each video learning so much. Thank you for sharing.🎤🎸🎹❤
Michael I'm new to your channel and not a guitar.player but love listening to your analysis. My favorite bands are "The Band" and Allman brothers. Would love for you to do something from The Last Waltz like either "The Weight" or further on up the road with Robbie Robertson and Clapton
Love her music but this is to ask you to have a look at the Mary Spender, Josh Turner cover of Sultans of Swing. Simply the best cover of this song that i’ve ever heard. Josh’s guitar work is sublime, he plays all over and around Mark’s original idea, jazzier
Hi, I don't know how to contact you with a suggestion so I'll try here. Here in England in the 70's we had a psychedelic guitarist who went solo after leaving the band Gong he was in, he's actually still going, anyway I'd highly recommend watching his video for Salmon song live in Germany I think. Thanks, great channel btw 🤘
Her music gets stuck in my head quite often (partially because I also love reggae and she's from Barbados), but a few years ago I watched a documentary of her career rise... many people ignore pop music (especially with choreography or autotune), and it's totally worth the effort to dig for those who bring unique vocal and writing styles to popular music. Ed Sheeran's solo live looping in front of packed auditoriums is equally staggering and shouldn't be written off as "just a pop artist".
I listen to her music (a lot of artists too). I've realized she's one of the greatest pop vocalists of this generation/2010's. Not many artists can pull off what she puts out,she plays with her voice a lot. I do enjoy when she performs soulful songs, or when it's her and an instrument... She killed the Lionel Richie coverm
@@Guitargate I nearly always get mixed up in emotions when listening. Hard to focus sometimes. Never played in a band. But you make me wanna learn and hear more.

You have to sound good already, to sound good with auto-tune. E.g. T-pain, great singer who used autotune to differentiate himself. Auto-tune is not a bad thing. And also auto-tune isn’t some magical trick to making a bad singer sound good. None of Rihanna’s performs are autotuned.
After all this time i still seek out reaction on this song. She killed it
Me too
I know nothing about music and have no idea what the hell you are talking about, but I sure do enjoy watching your videos!

Study this stuff. It's simple. It's diatonic and it's perfect
hell yeah. I freakin LOVE this song.
LOVE Rihanna! Would love to see a breakdown of her song Kiss It Better. The guitar on that track does it for me.
Michael couldn’t agree with you more on all of it! Your passion for music and your craft just shine in this video! Bravo!!!
Couldn’t agree more. Talented and underrated!
You are so right. These two chord triplet songs all rock. This, Tennessee Whiskey, I'd Rather Go Blind all share this same feel.
Awesome breakdown amigo. Hell of a song, hell of a singer and hell of an analysis. Keep ‘em coming!!
Will do! Thx brother!!
@@Guitargate knowing your tastes, you will love this performance by Govt Mule of “I’d rather go blind”

Love this song...
This is a great song to jam over. I am not a fan of most of Rhianna's music but this one is great.
Great song!
Would love to see a breakdown of the second solo in Boston’s “hitch a ride”
You should listen to Ryan Bingham, amazing writer/player/singer!

Holy moly Ray! Absolutely! I subscribe to Josh Turner. He and Mary are something special!
As far as the allman brothers "one way out or Statesboro blues. Anything from live at Fillmore East
It's a blues song. That's why we like it haha
Would love to see you react to Jon Bellion performing Guillotine live at cove city. Amazing performance and the band was on point
What other songs do the 9 to 1 ?
A nice country waltz is flatland cavalry pretty woman live
9 to 1, I hadn’t heard of that, I’m gonna try that

I don't see him on stage here though
Thanks so but I wouldn’t be surprised.

Michael - can you do Chicken Fry by Zach Brown? I'd love to learn it for my girls.
Please listen to the Bad Rabbits cover of this. PLEASE!
Sorry forgot to mention his name lol! It's Steve Hillage.
Do chris blue - love on the brain
Incredible breakdown. No matter your favorite genre, step out, and examine others. Hendrix was heavily influenced by Curtis Mayfield.
You need to react to Dragonforce - Through the Fire and Flames (long version). And some old Korn song, just for fun.
"Hear the Hi-Hats close ?"
- No ! Not at all man.
...it's amazing how you can train your ears.

Just old school r&b. Done better by many female singers of the past.
And they didn't need auto tune. Lol
@@jimmer1047 this was live , rihanna doesn’t use auto tone or pitch correct on her mic . Even singers in the past did it but not rihanna
This is actually Doo-woop from the 1960s . No old school r&b song sounds like this 😭
Is it true she uses auto tune?
I’ve never heard that, but it’s very common. But - I didn’t notice it on this performance... and I usually notice.
