This is the type of review I find most valuable! Showing me what exactly a camera can and can't do and where it excels and where it struggles. Excellent video.
Hey everyone! As mentioned be sure to check out the video on Manual focusing your lens with focus peaking here ua-cam.com/video/V3JXv5qrUes/v-deo.html.
Hey friend happy new year!!! Yes, lighting is always the key and often gets overlooked. Appreciate you stopping by as always! All the best in 2022! I see you are approaching your next milestone soon! 🙌
finally came across a video that confirmed my diagnosis with my M50. 🙁 I am making sewing videos with lots of movement and now I am pretty much facing buying another camera because every one and their mama on youtube recommended this camera for vlogging....
It's still a decent camera, more so for photography but for video, there are better options now. The Sony ZV E10 is a great one to look at. Glad I was able to help!
Great information. I wish I would have know this info before purchasing the M50 Mark II. I love the 4K streaming ability but the auto focus isn't stable for the movements we do. Would you recommend streaming in 1080 with autofocus? I haven't tried yet. Is there much of a quality difference?
I get that response a lot and unfortunately most the videos out there don't really go over such a critical point! I'm glad that at least you are aware now. With that being said 1080P streaming is your answer and you will not have to worry about auto-focusing issues as long as the scene is lit decently. Most people can only stream on 1080P depending on their internet service provider and some only 720P believe it or not! There is a difference but not enough to justify risking your stream being compromised by the auto-focus issues in 4K. Hope that helps!
Do you have any information about the Mark II? I am an amateur who has just bought one and I am unsure of the difference between the two. Are the focusing problems the same with both models?
Thanks for sharing this good made video! your effort is appreciated, I have a question, I have Canon 750, can I record in 4k? what should I buy from lens to record 4k videos in Canon 750D
Hi Arwa! Great to see ya here! Thanks for the kind words. I don’t think the 750D has 4K unfortunately. Depending on the editor you use you can upscale 1080p to 4K. As for lenses any prime lens would get you great results. But it would depend on many factors. Would love to give you suggestions, feel free to contact me any time!
Definitely could work well but yeah the AF in 4K is a bit of a downer. If Canon was smart they would make improvements via firmware update. The M50 is still a very popular camera. Might as well milk it right? Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment 👊🏼👍🏼
@@MonzonMedia yeah, it sucks. Did you know that Canon’s CEO actually said that they removed Dual Pixel AF on purpose because they didn’t want the m50 to compete with their more expensive options? That’s a douche move.
@@jarenplayz1083 yeah, I was disappointed to hear that but gave me clarity that they don’t care about their users. Now they are preventing 3rd party companies like viltrox and sigma from making RF glass. They are taking the cripple hammer to a whole new level. Hence why I upgraded to Sony A7C last year.

@@ArwaHub thanks for watching!
Thankyou for making these videos. They are very helpful and informative.
Great demo. Interesting that the camera focus mostly corrects itself with full lighting. Good to know.

I think Frame Grab with 4K in Wildlife and Sports could be awesome
That Contrast Detect AF though…

@@MonzonMedia Dont blame you on that decision my friend. If i had the money and the lenses, I would definitely switch to Sony
Gave up on 4k, camera nonstop would focus in and out.
Can't blame ya, definitely not the best for 4K, Nowadays people are better off going for the Sony ZVE10 mind you much more $
Up your shutter speed some and it helps the autofocus. Idk why but it does.
