Most unusual music track for the history making 1972 Indianapolis 500. I was there with a girl friend...my # 1 gal for the year of '72. We were in the infield nearing the third turn. What a very long weekend it was for me! Hardly any sleep yet, my favorite to win the Indy race car did win. A humble fellow, Mark Donahue was - Extremely talented and educated in his college degree, engineering from Brown University. Set the race speed record for several years, if I'm not mistaken. His car is one of my top all-time favorites of Indy cars...has been ever since I saw it in action. I'm hoping to see the ABC-TV complete coverage. Have been unable to find it if someone posted the race like some people posting some of the "complete" other races of Indianapolis of many past years ago. Thanks for sharing this turn one view of the '72 Indy race.
@tsf5-productions.. Thank you for your post. I really enjoyed reading it. I was still only 2 years old when the 72' Indy 500 was put into motion and history was being recorded. I love watching these old races back when I was just a kid. It sounds like you were having a great time being at the race and also a great time with the ladies.
I want to apologize to everyone that has viewed my videos and commented for not replying immediately. I have taken on a very large undertaking for the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing that has consumed a great deal of my time and kept me from completing more videos and replying to comments in a timely fashion.
