When I had all my kids at home, I would buy the bags of chips and have them divide them up in sandwich bags at home. I taught them to look at the back, see how many servings are in them and fill that many sandwich bags up with the bag so that it was easy for them to grab one for their lunch.
It was nice watching a shopping haul at a Costco in Montana. Prices are pretty comparable to ours here in Florida. Our gas is 3.19. Can you do a video tour of your market Winco and the Food Bank? TY. 😊
My neighbors immigrated from El Salvador and they recently surprised me with a plate of Pupas, it's their native food and Wow were they good. They made everything homemade and I can't say enough how tasty they were.
Did you mean pupusas 🫓 ? I love them!
@@breezyiscrushingonthesandm6334 Yes....they are delicious.
When my boys were little and in school, my youngest son had issues with his reading and you know in school they want you to read fast, so I took him to the store bought him a few books that he liked, and I made him read a chaptera night and then write what that chapter was about and by the end of the book I should be able to read each of his chapter summaries and get an idea of what the book was about. This is not only helped him with his reading, but it helped him with his comprehension and his writing and grammar, his teacher was amazed how much progress he made in a short amount of time.
That's a great idea! Thank you!
Hello Carolina we can get Bison here in Tennessee. I got 2 thin ribeyes for $13. My mom went to Costco for me today she loves wandering and i just have too much going on she brought me a chicken of course she always brings my kids chocolate chip cookies, avocados, brownie mix, cuties, chicken strips, and cheerios. Those Cordon Blues are so good. My kids love those cup o noodles we have 2 of those boxes for the summer. We get the lunch bags of chips during the school year but during summer we just buy big bags of generic walmart chips. Hope you have a great week Carolina.
Also the rotisserie chicken makes the best bone broth - perfectly seasoned
I am so glad that this video popped up in my recommendations. I live in Montana as well and I have been looking for vloggers from MT to follow! I can't wait to see more of your videos!

I missed you live, but that was a great video…as usual made me hungry!!! Thanks for sharing, Carolina 🥰
Thanks Nanny!!
I love Costco!! Mine is maybe 3 miles from my house. I love the variety at Costco. And you are right about the nwat department....good prices for excellent quality. ❤
lots of great stuff there
Brown sugar if you put it in a Ziploc bag put a slice of bread in it it will soften it up for you can keep it soft
Good tip! Thanks!
I saw those corn dogs. I love to have them with maple syrup 😋 If you think about it, it’s just a sausage that’s dipped into a cornmeal batter. They’re So good!
Here where I live there is a small family owned store and there meat deals are amazing. I just got a new york strip steak loin for 6.99 a pound. They cut the meat for free.
Well, that was interesting! Our gas here in eastern Washington is $4.48 a gallon. I ALWAYS buy a rotisserie chicken and do the same thing you do with it. MMMmmmmmm! I was jealous when I saw you heft that case of water. I used to be able to do that too. Now husband and I have to help each other. Same reason I had to give up my cast iron. Boo! I also cannot leave without my $1.50 dawg and drink! Haha! Thanks for sharing!
I sympathise with you, I use to paint a room in a day or do anything needed around the house but now I’m almost bed ridden with Chronic Fatigue and chronic pain some days and might if lucky get about three days a week where I can actually do something like washing dishes or laundry….can’t vacuum anymore which really sucks……. Can’t lift more than about two kilos without pain…I tell my adult kids to look after yourself and have an enjoyable life doing safe things that make you happy because you can’t turn back the clock and fix everything 😢 and other things you have no control over at all !
Especially the happy bit ….
I spent over 25 years of my life from 18 years of age looking after my narcissistic disabled mother who made me totally miserable every day, I should have cut her off but I still felt it was my duty to look after her even though she left us all ( 6 kids) with Dad when I was about six and took off with one of her many lovers …
eventually she cut me off after I didn’t do something she wanted , after the shock I realised she had actually for once done something in her life that was best for me even though it was done as punishment… happy years followed but the damage to my body lifting her and bathing etc left me almost disabled myself 😢
six kids stood at her coffin to say goodbye to her even though she had disowned all of us over the years and refused to reconcile.
Sorry to ramble on …… have a happy day 💐🌸🌺🌼🌻
If you get chips look up the recipe for walking taco casserole your kids would love it
ok, will do! Thank you!
Loved Costco haul, our Costco no longer have a bakery, the cakes were yum. I can't do samples with sugar restriction, but smell great. Your prices are just like ours here in Alaska. Can't afford Costco meat but when we splurge its wonderful ,just laughing at the foods you buy are exactly what I buy lol.
I don't have a Cosco near me. Sure wish I did. Good stuff there ya got. 😊
We have bison in our regular stores like Meijer and kroger sometimes Aldi. I live in Oregon, Ohio.
Kerry Gold butter is fantastic, it is expensive, though.we do cook with it sometimes, like to make herb butter with it, or we will whip up some honey butter for use with toast. ❤
Hey sweetie love watching you I can tell you how to make homemade tortillas cuz my husband was Hispanic had to learn 3cups of all purpose flour 1teaspoon of baking powder 1teaspoon of salt and 1table spoon of lard or bacon grease or butter add everything together mix well than add hot water a little at a time mix like bread let sit for 10 minutes than roll out like tortillas using flour if a lot sticky cook a few minutes on each side than Wala u have tortillas love your viy please try 👍♥️
Ps u can double the recipe
I try and keep to my list when shopping at Costco. It can add up really quick.
That's smart!
Montana is such a pretty place ❤
It really is! I think I'll move there! haha
I live in San Francisco Bay Area and our prices at Costco are wayyy more than your store. Everything is crazy pricey here. The food you saw is called pupusas , propounded pa-poo-sas. They are our native food from El Salvador. Masa, with meat and beans and cheese inside. Usually top it off with cabbage.
I need to try making my own soon! Thank you!
I wish I had a Costco close to me I have a sams club I go to and I love both actually my kids are officially out of school now here in TN so I got to go today or Tom and get stocked up on everything lol a bunch of hungry kiddos always seems like lol 😆
They must have a hollow leg or something!! haha
The mixedberry syurp is SOOOO GOOD!! We ate some on homemade pancakes this morning!
Oh man...maybe next time I'll grab it!
My favorite thing to make is watermelon pico.. it’s refreshing and delicious and lasts for months in the fridge..
Put a chunk of that hard brown sugar in a container and add a couple slices of bread and it will soften up
Pork Belly is fantastic it is not smoked but I think it is more a southern thing I make it about every two weeks
There is no Costco near me. We have a Walmart and an Aldi so the Costco prices seem high to me. It all looks good though, LOL.
My sister lives in Victor!!!! Love Missoula
Oh how funny! Victor is so pretty too!
❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉FABULOUS VIDEO. BEAUTIFUL 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤
Buy the butter!!! It’s my fave when I don’t make my own.
Sooooo delicious 😋
Ok Ok, I'll get it next trip!!
@@mamabairds going to love the creaminess it has 😊
We have bison in Minnesota. The lamb from Australia at Costco is very good quality.
Carolina next time you go to Costco look for the stars next to prices it means that wot ever you pick up is not going to be stocked in that Costco anymore
Wow that gas price is crazy! Ours in Louisiana is 2.99 a gallon. I never thought of putting bbq sauce on the chicken quesadillas, thanks for the tip. Thanks for sharing always. I enjoy your videos. God bless you and your family 😊
Thank you so much!! I enjoy making them!
I made leftover pork roast and BBQ sauce in quesadillas
Here in Wisc. I got Buffalo & Bison & Venison from the food bank. They were all good , we were pleasantly surprised.
They really are so good! I think bison and buffalo are the same though. You are making me doubt myself though..haha! I love Elk as well!
Papusas are delicios! Paw-poo-sah
Costco is too far for me to travel, so I don’t have a membership, but went one time. It is a lot like Sam’s Club (which I do have a membership to) but seems they each have a few unique items. Thanks for taking us along!
I wish we had a Sam's club here as well. We had both in Missouri right next to each other! haha
Or even watered fruit juices etc for ice lollies
Cauliflower rice is mainly all the stems so much better off putting cauliflower in the blender with some water and blitz it a few times until finely chopped enough for you 🙂
Thank you for that advice!!
We have bison in our grocery stores in Burlington, Nc
Oh awesome! Thanks for sharing!
Wow gas is cheaper then here in Michigan! Also Milk here at Kroger’s is 2.89 for a gallon
I think certain people just troll others - I’m happy they have all the answers to life- oh wait - no one does
Our Kroger in Peoria Illinois carry Bison
Enjoyed your Costco trip
❤
I love there dog hot's and there Pizza's to at Costco
Me too! And a whole pizza is only $10!
They have bison in Indiana at Costco
We bought the tamales a few months back and they were not good at all!! We were so disappointed but they were so so dry . I don't remember them being like that before but I also noticed they are no longer wrapped in corn husk they were wrapped in paper. 😢
Man, that's so disappointing!
We have bison here in Iowa... pricey
Keri Gold is really great on toast. But i seldom use it as a staple. To expensive for me.
Eye Fillet steak in my area is $69.99/kg now. Can get cheaper just not nice but it is $54.99/kg. I am getting a new freezer in a few weeks so I can buy a quarter cow and half pork.
Do you drink tap water in America? I can not understand bottled water unless the tap water is contaminated.
WOW, those watermelons were cheap. Here in Sydney since January roughly we are paying around $3.99/kg or about $6.00 for a 1/5 to 1/4 portion let alone what a whole one would cost.
What exactly is a tatter tot?
Good deal. Hotdog, dessert and a drink for $4
sorry if im having a go but you use milk sparingley coz its 6 somethign dollers is to dear but you dont mind getting hal and half and use it in the coffee ???
Yes, the half and half last a month where the milk a couple of days. So yes, I have to use it sparingly. Plus we get a free gallon from the food bank every week, and that helps with the milk supply.
Normally, I do not add a comment but today I was a little miffed! What gives anyone the right to judge someone who is doing what they feel is best for their family. So, she goes to the food pantry. So do I. If I thought I was above going there I would be a fool! With today's prices, going to pantries is smart. How does anyone know what her school curriculum is for her kids. As a grandmother raising, I know what they are teaching in schools and another of it doesn't seem useful in today's times. Also, some teachers are there just for the check! Homeschooling takes patience, energy and nurturing. My hat is off to the parents that are able to do this day in and day out without a break. Lastly, if Caroline wants to grab herself a goodie every now and then without the kids so be it
Thank you Sherry!! I agree 100%!!
It’s pronounced Pa poosas. They are delicious!
I'm over here in super hot, super dry Spokane, where untreated brown sugar doesn't stay soft and usable for very long. You can soften a few cups of rock-hard brown sugar in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave it for 10 seconds at a time, stir, and repeat until softened. After softening, vacuum seal and store in the pantry. :)
I have to tell you Carolina , I look forward to your videos where you show us what surrounds you . Now matter what time of the year it is the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Thankyou so much for sharing it with us xo
Aw thank you! I'm glad you are enjoying that! I'm enjoyed adding that to my videos as well!
Make pierogi casserole
Hello
Do not do cauliflower rice.
Use the shirataki/konjac rice and pasta substitutes instead.
It notonly taste better, makes you feel fuller faster (I can only eat half of what I would eat in traditional pasta or rice, it is great for not having carbohydrates sugars to cause insulin spikes. Side effect is you may lose weight.
I am on keto so believe me do not go with cauliflower.
Cauliflower taste over powers many dishes.
Whereas if you rinse, 5 min soak in fresh water, rince before adding boiling hot water to heat the shirataki/konjac noodles or rice.
Serve with what you serveon pasta or rice.
The shirataki/konjac noodles are a slightly chewier than convetional pasta or rice.
It does not give any disharmony flavor as they are flavorless.
I'll check those out! Thank you!
Wow I can’t believe some of the rude comments from people. Please don’t them get to you! Great Costco trip!
Thanks Kerry!
Guess i am going vegaterian meat prices are to expensive here in NY. There are only 2 of us so we don't use bulk shopping. I do food pantries mostly Gas is 3.75 here i would say Montana is cheaper
Buy directly from the farmer
Costco loses money every day on those rotisserie chickens. But they draw in more customers to pay $15 for 2# of Kerrygold. 😂
Hi Mama Baird. Gonna jump in the shower before your video.....brb
Sounds good!!
But half cow if you can afford it. Meats your better off going really store
Agreed!
16 dollers on a slurge for you chicken wings dont get it you need to be careful how u say thigns hunnie there for you and kids milk to expencive thats ghow it sounds
I'm allowed to splurge on myself!
I just find Costco too expensive. Winco, Walmart cheaper. Hard for my brain to balance ability to shop in COSTCO but visit food banks for their offerings.
Well, the way that bulk stores work is you spend more money up front, but it saves you money in the long run! With a family of 6, I look to save money any way I can. Bulk shopping helps with that. Plus, the gas is always $.05-$.10 cheaper than around town. So, with just one tank of gas, the $5 a month membership is paid for! Hope that helps you!
Shame on you for not having your children along so they could have$3.00 ice cream too!
haha...yeah..Mom time alone isn't allowed I guess...
Shut up.
She devotes all of her time to raising her kids. Getting out once a month on her own is important for mental health among other things. That 3 dollar ice cream alone could be the very thing that recharges her for the next month. So SHAME ON YOU mr.Kevin. Go harass your own family. You clearly aren’t apart of this one!
We live an hour from the store, sometimes momma just needs alone time😊
@@mamabairds Not in my mind it isn't! Your children should always come first!
Why do you homeschool? Shouldn't you be following a curriculum? If you can't afford it, then send them to public school.
No thanks. We don't want the kids in public school.
Watch your mouth.
Wow, that’s mean… with the crap they are teaching/pushing in schools no way in hell do my kids attend ( we homeschool to) there doesn’t have to be. Set curriculum, you can mix and match and lives what you need…. It’s expensive, but much better education….. lots of families make their own curriculum up
I’m a grandmother and homeschool my grandbabies-public school is increasingly dangerous - physically mentally and spiritually- why does anyone think they have a right to a holier than thou attitude- what someone chooses for their life is their business - good grief
Put that hot dog down and eat something healthy.
I had ice cream too! That's healthy right?! Haha
Hello
