Outstanding video. Even better cast. No suicides. No tragic abuse stories. Just people getting on with life after a really, really cool gig that will bless them for their entire lives.
First time watching 'Napoleon Dynamite', I didn't get it and thought it was stupid as hell. But for some odd reason, I watched it again a while later...and again, and again. And each time, I got the joke and now 'Napoleon Dynamite' is one of my favorite comedies.
Same! My wife and I watched it for the first time, and afterwards said "What the hell did we just watch?" but watched it again later and got hooked. Now it's one of our favorites.
My wife and I watched this film with my son who was 14 at the time. Probably would not have been interested in it otherwise but it turned out to be a very enjoyable movie. Original premise with good acting and directing. Loved all the characters also. At 74 years old I still revisit this movie and still love it. Kudos to all involved and thanks for posting this.
I can tell you pretty confidently he was not paid $1000 on a 400,000k budget movie. That’s absolutely absurd considering he is the lead role. This video is kinda fishy thb . Sounds like bot is reading it and the information being spit at us is questionable.
@@MichaelMilroy look anywhere on the internet about how much he got paid for the movie. Yes, he got royalties and more $$ when it went big, but his initial payment for acting in the movie was a grand. 🤷🏼♂️
Thanks for this update, this movie is a favorite with my family, we still quote it to this day. Such a talented group of actors, my favorite is Uncle Rico, I see a little bit of myself in him, lol.
Such a great movie,,, have to watch it from time to time, and Uncle Rico is my favorite character! when he say's he can throw the football over the mountains and kinda laughs,,,, kills me Everytime!
There are ton of small tiny moments that make this movie great: One is the smirk Kip gives when Napoleon is getting "juiced" by the time machine gadget. Another is the moment when Kip plays footsies with Lafawnduh. He pulls that foot out with that WHITE sock and gently nubs her foot PERFECT. It's almost resembles a Dr. Seuss foot from Whoville. I laugh every time. Another is the pouty lip look that Rico gives when taking ID photos PERFECT. Another is the distant, longing to go back in time look Rico gives when Kip says he's already looked into the time travel thing...."right on.....right on". All of the little details make this movie. As others have said, you either get it or you don't.
Wow. This is the way to make a UA-cam video. Not too short or long. No wasted blather. Lots of info in a short time. Great photos and video segments. It's like it packs 30 minutes of information into 10 minutes. Others pack 10 minutes of information into 30 minutes.
They were all excellent. Although his part was small, I think that DON was perfectly cast. Snarr nailed it playing the cocky jock. His facial expressions were spot-on for a douche bag type of kid. I was a high school principal the year ND came out. The students hounded me to see the movie so I did. I am retired now but look back to the year ND came out fondly.
I totally agree. Don's appearances are some of the best of the movie, although Napoleon is the best character overall in my opinion. Such a funny movie! I can't believe Heder only got $1k to play the lead, but at least it opened a lot of doors for him.
Ellen Dubin was on the tv series Lexx as an assassin/bounty hunter/cannibal named Giggerota as well as appearances on other Canadian shows Forever Knight, Highlander: The Raven and Puppets Who Kill. She was my "Stifler's Mom" in the 90s.
The ultimate Love It or Hate It film. I think I’m like almost everyone else in that I truly hated this movie upon first viewing to the point of shutting it off; I now consider it one of my favorites.
I was the same way - I watched it with my brother in law, who was 14 at the time, and thought this was the dumbest movie ever. Seeing it several dozen times since then I love it!
Great movie. Ellen Dubin looks younger in her current photo than her younger self. Whatever your secret is ... keep it up! Maybe they mixed up the photos. Favorite character was Tina Majorino.
The first time I watched this I thought that that was 2 hours out of life that I will never get Back. I have watched it when ever I see it on TV. Uncle Rico is my Favorite. A little Creepy, but a Great part of the movie!
Loooove this movie! I just watched it a couple of times not too long ago.my favorite part of the movie is Napoleon getting hit in the face with a steak by his uncle and then the uncle says he can throw this football over the mountain!love the uncle and Napoleon for my favorite character s
The costume designer used to bring clothes in to my ex wife’s dry cleaners. And we were originally gonna be in this film. I think she also knew Snar from him coming in as well. We didn’t end up in the film due to some kind of schedule issue at the time. I later was in the director Jared Hess’ film Don Verdean…
Man i lmfao when I first seen this movie because napoleon reminded me of my lil brother who used to always ask for chapstick hahaha oh man I smoked a lil weed before I watched it with my family, and when I tell you I lmao I mean I was dying 😂😂😂
This by far is a CRACK- UP 🎥🍿🎥🍿 MOVIE, IT GOES WAY BEYOND ANYBODY'S EXPECTATION'S😳😳😳😳!!! HILARIOUS🤣🤣🤣🤣!!!!!! My daughter told me about it, I will never be the same😁😁😁!!!!!!!?
I went on vacation to visit my brother and he made me watch this movie. I was like "is anything going to happen?" and he was like "not really". Anyway the vacation carried on. By the time I flew home I went strait from the airport to Blockbuster to rent it. I could not stop thinking about it. I had a delayed reaction.
Such a "hilarious" comedy film!!! Who was your favorite character???
Napoleon!!
Do a video on The Outsiders (1983)
Pedro😂
I love Napoleon.
I have the DVD from that year.
I have a Vote For Pedro shirt from back then.
I love Napoleon.

Outstanding video. Even better cast. No suicides. No tragic abuse stories. Just people getting on with life after a really, really cool gig that will bless them for their entire lives.
Vote for Pedro.
☑️
I voted for Summer! Lol!
Better then voting for Biden again
Summer Wheatley's Pinata scene was hilarious.
@@kerrinihsen4729 Pedro offers you his protection..
This movie really needs to be added to the National Film Registry.
The scene where uncle Rico is driving then suddenly a mellon hits his wind shield then he shrieks. I crack up every time 😂
Every time one of my kids brings this movie up that’s the scene I always think of and laugh hysterically just thinking about it.😂
I just laughed reading your comment. Great scene
Damnnn... I crack up just thinking about it cause the first time I saw it , I screamed like Uncle Rico .... But such an underrated movie
@jasmatk
That’s a great scene too!!😂🤣
@jasmatk Bet I could throw this football over them mountains....... Should have made a spill off movie about Uncle Rico....
“How much you wanna bet I can throw this football over them mountains?”
-Uncle Rico
Uncle Rico started Van life long before it was even a thing
VERY UNDERRATED MOVIE
One of those movies where virtually every line is quotable.
"Like anyone could even know that!"

Same here. 🙂
Same! My wife and I watched it for the first time, and afterwards said "What the hell did we just watch?" but watched it again later and got hooked. Now it's one of our favorites.
Totally. I watched it the first time I was like this is dumb. Then I watched it again and loved it. I missed all the little jokes the first time.
Some people are just slower than others.
And what, exactly is "the joke".... I'd like you to explain that. Thank you.
"I'll do whatever I want to do- gawd!"
"Get off Napoleon make yourself a dang quesadilla."
You know a film reaches cult status when it’s on tv and while channel surfing you stop and start watching it no matter how long it has left to finish.
So true!
Done it!!!

Jon Heder was only paid a thousand bucks for the lead role?? Wow! I hope he gets royalties from it!

This will always be my favorite guilty pleasures. The 80s vibe was perfect. This is like the RAGING BULL of nerd comedy. I Love it!!!
The dance is one of the best scenes in movie history
Thanks for this update, this movie is a favorite with my family, we still quote it to this day. Such a talented group of actors, my favorite is Uncle Rico, I see a little bit of myself in him, lol.
“Way to stay home and eat all the flippin’ chips, Kip!”
I love the part when uncle Rico throws that steak at napoleon
Don's reaction to Napolean in the happy hands club is the funniest scene in the whole movie imo.
Such a great movie,,, have to watch it from time to time, and Uncle Rico is my favorite character! when he say's he can throw the football over the mountains and kinda laughs,,,, kills me Everytime!
You forgot one of Diedrich Bader's best roles as Lawrence in Office Space.
hey Peter man, put it on channel 9.

This film is so wholesome and good.
Rex was my favorite character: "You think anyone wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys? Forget about it"
1 of the best lines ever🤣🤣🤣
The Rex/Kip interaction is brilliant
Gries nailed that character. He’ll always be uncle Rico to me.

This is actually one of my favorite movies, I know it sounds silly, but I laughed through just about the entire show.
Same, and it also made me tear up in a few places too
I loved the movie. It would be interesting to hear the stories of how all these actors ended up taking on parts in the movie.
The ultimate Love It or Hate It film.

Best movie ever made
How come I’m getting a million Napoleon Dynamite related videos recommended now. I mean I’m not disappointed.
I absolutely love this movie
Efren can get away with playing a high school kid at age 30..... and still looks the same even today.
Shondrella, without a doubt.
Great movie. Ellen Dubin looks younger in her current photo than her younger self. Whatever your secret is ... keep it up! Maybe they mixed up the photos. Favorite character was Tina Majorino.
I bet you I can throw this football over those mountains. Lol
I hated this movie when I first saw it, but it ended up growing on me and is now a favorite. Same with Step Brothers and Hocus Pocus.
They made this epic movie look 80-90's era. I had no idea it was 2004 🤣
U.R.-"Does that cost money?" Kip-"Yeah, grandma gets kinda pissed sometimes." U.R.-"I'll tell ya I'd throw you out the window."
"You think anyone wants a roundhouse kick to the face while I'm wearing these bad boys? Forget about it"
Sandy Martin plays Macs mom in Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.🌷

Shondrella Avery was also on Girls Behaving Badly.
The whole movie mimics early 80's , Kip was online all day lol We didn't have internet in the 80's , Genious movie!!!

Jon “Uncle Rico” Gries was just in the HBO mini-series: “White Lotus”.
I watched that series and never realized that was uncle Rico! Thanks
Napoleon Dynamite 👍😊
fun fact = the main character has a identical twin in real life !!!
The costume designer used to bring clothes in to my ex wife’s dry cleaners. And we were originally gonna be in this film. I think she also knew Snar from him coming in as well. Well done video, and thanks for posting it.
Great video!!!
I rented the walki talkies used by the staff for Napoleon Dynamite I remember giving the production a heck of a deal.
20+ years since the movie came out, I’m gonna cry even tho I’m not even an adult.
You forgot that Bader was in "Office Space."
Tina Majorino was also the little girl in Waterworld.

This was a good movie
I had no idea that Deb and I had the same birthday a decade apart.
Hader may have got an initial low payment, but once the movie made a ton of money they gave him way more money.
Oh my gosh I love this film.
Do people get it who aren't from that time tho?
Bow to your sensei!!!!!
Sandy Martin has a great reoccurring roll on Ray Donovan.
Kip forever!
There's no way he was only payed $1k
You forgot my favorite character. Tina.
Aaron Ruell presented the best acting in this film. Kip had more depth than the other characters.
