I think you nailed what’s bothering me about my curls and possibly how to fix it. My hair has had a lot of stringy curls like I had in the 80’s but then on day two I get more ribbons. I love the ribbons!! I do need a cut like yours though. My hair is down between my shoulder blades with long layers so the bottom half of my hair looks great but the top half is just slightly wavy. Time for some shorter layers. I would love to see how you use the scarf. I do not have the silk pillow case yet because I have spent so much money on products, deva towel and a diffuser. Maybe a scarf could be my next step. Thanks for all of your help.
Yes, layers are key when you hair gets longer. :) I actually created a video on how I put my hair up in the scarf on my channel. But for me I love and need my silk pillow case more. I don't have to put my hair up in the scarf every night, the silk pillow case keeps my curls nice for the most part.

all I know is they're pretty. Can you just.give them a little spray in the morning with some water or frizz control conditioning spray ?
To refresh I use water or a light spray. I had to wash my hair the next day cause my curls were broken and looked really wind blow from the weight of all the product she used.

Yeah I usually just use a bit of water to refresh or a light spray in my hands to rub over my curls for a light refresh and settle down some frizz.
When you say your hair is thick, do you mean density? Because strand wise, your hair looks fine to me. I think our hair is actually a lot more similar than I originally thought. Your blonde hair makes the waves/curls reflect more light which calls more attention to your curl pattern. Mine is darker and undyed...no highlights or anything. So my pattern isn't as "forward" as yours. But, even the back of your head looks similar to mine...how it's much more of a looser wave.
Yes, I just have a lot of hair strands in general. When I get my hair colored they usually have to make 2 or 3 extra bowls of color to finish my hair. If that gives you an understanding of how thick it is. :)

It depends on the area that you go and the level of certification of the stylist. By going to classes and learning more about the cutting process for curly hair they increase their level status as well as being able to charge more. I think a person level 2 or 3 is great, but you have to know their prices are up there. BUT they have the knowledge to know how to cut and apply product to YOUR hair. You pay for the experience as well as tips and tricks you learn from your stylist. From where I live it can range from $75 up to $175. When I lived in Boston I got my hair cut 1 -2 times a year and paid $150, he was a level 2.

@@noor-bu6uf sis no. She could have 3a hair scattered around her head, but the type 2 hair may be blocking it.
